Minimum stock level per warehouse and MRP

Hello experts
We have tested minimum stock level per warehouse and try to use it for the MRP but it seems that the MRP uses for a specific warehouse the consolidated minimum level
For example
WSE 1 minimum stock level 10
WSE 2 minimum stock level 5
MRP runs for WSE 2 recommandation is calculated based on 15 pieces of minimum stock level (WSE 1+2)
Could you please tell me if this is normal behavior and the use of minimum stock level per warehouse is not possible ?

Hi.....
SAP gives recomendation on Overall stock basis and not on Minimum Inventory of Particular Warehouse.
It is standard behavior. But SAP should think of it as it is not right recomendation if someone tries to view it as per warehouse.......

  • Minimum stock level

    Hi all,
My scenario comes like this ...i have two service center"A" and "B"where i ll maintain some minimum stock level of spare parts.
each service center will get service arder individually for spare parts.service center's issue spare parts against order from minimum stock level.  so i maintained make to stock scenario where order is full filled with minimum stock level.so planning has to cover minimum stock level.so i mapped in safety stock.
But the safety stock level varies with some period.so i need an upload program of safety stock in period oriented manner.
then fullfillment of service order also based on priority wise  .becas spar parts for that sevice center are obtained from some other plant ...which should maintain a plan which determaine priority to give spare parts to "A" and "B" in percentage of priority
so i require  1.how to go for upload of safety stock with periodically?
2.How the priority can be given for allocation to verious service center.?\
    Regards
    suresh

    Hi,
For upload the safety stock you can use BDC or LSMW.
for periodic upload try through background program with the help of ABAPer.

  • Access Right for Minimum stock level

    Hi all,
I would like to know if there is a way to set access right to enalbe or disable user from modify the minimum stock level in the item master data.
    Thank you.
    Regards

I would like to know if there is a way to set access right to enalbe or disable user from modify the minimum stock level in the item master data.
as I have said, you can use SP_TN to disable some certain users to modify the minimum inventory level value. here is an example:
    IF @transaction_type IN ('A', 'U') AND
    @Object_type = '4'
    begin
if exists (SELECT distinct t0.docentry FROM oitm T0 INNER JOIN oUSR T1 ON T1.internal_k
    = t0.usersign
    WHERE isnull(t0.minlevel,'') <> '0' and t1.user_code = 'manager')
    begin
select @Error = 10, @error_message = 'Min level can not be updated by user manager'
    end
    end
but I also said that you can use SDK code i.e. SAP B1 addon to disable the users to modify the minimum inventory level field. It is more complicated because you need to use programming language e.g. VB.Net to do that. The programming language will use the B1 DI API as project reference.
You must have SDK development license to develop such addon.

  • IS-Retail: Site stock levels in Store and DC

    Hi Friends,
I have created a site 1200. I maintained the same as DC in WB01 and created article and in Logistics:DC view and maintained stock level like reorder point, max stock , etc.
If I have to extend the same article to another DC and I want to maintain stock levels for site (DC) separately, how to do this ?
How to create the same site 1200 as Store for maintaining Logistic:Store view. I tried to create in WB01 and it says site already exists. In the list of store, 1200 is not appearing.
Can the stock levels be different or same for DC and Store for a site?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
Two types of sites are used in SAP Retail:
a)Distribution Centers that store and prepare merchandise for
    other sites or customers-Profile 0100 Category -B
b)Stores which present merchandise and sell it to consumers
    Profile -0110/0120 Category -A
Only One Reference Site will be created each for Distribution
Center and Store. In Reference Site  no stocks will be
    maintained .
Stocks will be maintained individually for DC and Stores.
For e.g  Create Ref DC 1000 and use it in WB01 for your New
DC 1001 so that all common data wil be copied . Same applies to Stores. Ref Store 2000 and use it for New Store 2001.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Special stock for an STO and MRP segment

    Hi,
I have a scenario wherein I need to differentiate between stocks for two diff. STO's in manufacturing plant coming in from 2 diff. plants. The demand at the recieving plant is through reorder point which then drives creation of an STO. I cannot use a MTO strategy as its on ROP. This material is on a MTO strategy at supplying plant while its on ROP (make to stock) at recieving plant.
Is there any way I could create a separate MRP segment or special stock for each STO at supplying plant?
Each STO has diff. label info hence we need to differentaiate stocks between STO's.

If you want to differentiate a stock .only way is to monitor is maintain  2 material code.

  • Maintaining minimum stock only for few store materials

    Dear All,
How can i maintain minimum stock level for few materials.
Can we maintain while creating mat in mm01 @ purc view or i need to do some other settings ?
    B/regds,
    CB

    Hi,
You have to configure the MRP and maintain all the MRP parameter in to Material master.
After that Run the MRP by transection code MD03 , system will create the PR as per the data maintained in to MRP view of Material master.

  • Minimum order level

    Hi,
The stock level of all materials in stores are checked everyday. If the stock level falls below the minimum level, a direct purchase order should be  placed for procurement of the material. The order quantity is should be to fill the storage to the maximum level. What master settings i have to make for this automatic PO generation for materials if stock level is less than minimum level?
    regards
    B Shar

    hi
First of all you need to maintain
    Required Stock Level
    Minimum Stock Level
    Maximum Stock Level
    In the Material Master data
You can use "Reorder point planning"
In reorder point planning, procurement is triggered when the sum of plant stock and firmed receipts falls below the reorder point.
The reorder point should cover the average material requirements expected during the replenishment lead time.
The safety stock exists to cover both excess material consumption within the replenishment lead time and any additional requirements that may occur due to delivery delays. Therefore, the safety stock is included in the reorder level.
The following values are important for defining the reorder point:
    Safety stock
    Average consumption
    Replenishment lead time
The following values are important for defining the safety stock:
Past consumption values (historical data) or future requirements
    Vendor/production delivery timelines
    Service level to be achieved
Forecast error, that is, the deviation from the expected requirements
    Manual Reorder Point Planning
In manual reorder point planning, you define both the reorder level and the safety stock level manually in the appropriate material master.
    Automatic Reorder Point Planning
In automatic reorder point planning, both the reorder level and the safety stock level are determined by the integrated forecasting program.
The system uses past consumption data (historical data) to forecast future requirements. The system then uses these forecast values to calculate the reorder level and the safety stock level, taking the service level, which is specified by the MRP controller, and the material's replenishment lead time into account, and transfers them to the material master.
Since the forecast is carried out at regular intervals, the reorder level and the safety stock level are continually adapted to the current consumption and delivery situation. This means that a contribution is made towards keeping stock levels low.

  • Minimum stock of raw material

    Hai gurus,
    My requirement is as follows:
    1) My fert material consist of 5 ROH
    2) The stock of all the ROH is to be maintained for minimum two days production qty.( 2 days inventory stock)
How to maintain this minimum stock of ROH  and control under SAP
    waiting for the positive reply.
    Regards
    sekar chand

    Hai Bhramankar,
    Thanks for your rpely.
In my case the material required for next three months is planned and procured by MM guys
    after MRP run .
So the procurement is done and material is stored in central warehouse, and  raw material required
for the next two days  production is issued to production ROH   stores and maintained as stock to avoid
    any shortage for final production.
If it so how can we bring this scenario into SAP and keep track of total stock at central warehouse and two
days dynamic stock by the shop floor people
    waiting for your detail reply.

  • Managing item cost per warehouse.

    Hello,
I have a client who recently migrated from SAP Business one 8.81 to 9.0 PL8. And now they want to manage items cost per warehouse. This is because although the cost and quantities are okay at company level, at warehouse level there are now some negative values as they have been in operation for over 3 years. In the setups, I found out that the manage item cost per warehouse check box settings was not ticked. How do i ensure that this check box is ticked and what procedures do i take to make this happen. The client has more than 2,000 items and about 30 warehouses.
Most of the recommendations in the discussion  forum talk about creating a new database, After creating it, how do you go about it. what are the procedures involved?
    Kind regards,
    Maureen

    Hi Maureen,
This setting one time setting and you can not change once Transaction is posted in System. Please also check below link.

  • Minimum stock Alert

Hi guys, i need a solution to a query which was raised in a meeting.  The purchaser wants an alert if the quantity of stock went within 5% of the minimum stock level.  What the user wants is a list emailed to her if ever the quantity drops to this level.  The trigger would be if a Sales Order was entered on the system and the order took up that stock.  I'm very new to Crystal reports.  I have the databases in order to do this, its just the logic to implement it.  I've started by using the following databases, fields and formula's:
I have a database field which is 'GDWITM.GDMIN', this is the Minimum Stock Level.  So my starting logic would be:
    If abs (5/100*{GDWITM.GDMIN}+{GDWITM.GDMIN}) < {GDWITM.GDMIN} THEN
    "Please Reorder Items".
Is this wrong.  Could you please advise.
    Thank You
Edited by: Jonah Higgins on Feb 10, 2009 3:56 PM

Your formula is calculating 105% of the minimum stock level and checking to see if it is less than the stock level.  Won't ever happen!
The expression should be something like
    If 1.05*{GDWITM.GDMIN} > {on hand - on order} THEN
    "Please Reorder Items".
(The abs() function is unnecessary, assuming the minimum order level is above zero...)

  • Stock Level after PGR

I am testing and I performed sales return for 1 item which has 1 as quantity.
Then after that, I performed "post goods receipt". I checked the stock level on MMBE and my stock did not change.
Is that stock level suppose to get one more stock? If yes, any idea where I did go wrong with my configuration?
    Please help me. Thank you.

    Hi Anwar,
    Its as per standard SAP,
When you do a PGR, Returns stocks are updated so presently you might be checking the "unrestricted stock" at MMBE.
Now if you check returns stock, you will get that updated stock there.
For more understanding, perform that entire test case again as per following steps :
    1) Note down MMBE stock values for Unrestricted & returns stock.
    2) Create returns Order, returns delivery & PGR also ensure that Material document has been created successfully.
    3) Note down MMBE values again for that Material/SKU for Unrestricted & returns stock.
    4) Further you can try using movement type - 453 to post same returns stock into unrestricted stock.
    5) Note down MMBE values again for that Material/SKU for Unrestricted & returns stock.
I hope your issue would be fixed.
    Best Regards,

  • Zero Stock levels

    Hi
I'm looking to generate a report that counts the number of days an item is at zero stock within each warehouse, over a specified time.
I've tried various ways yet seem to fail to get a concise report.  Would anybody be able to help?

    Hi Gordon
Thank you for your response, and that query worked as expected once I realised that the Warehouse variable needed to be %1.
If you could help me a little further then that would be most kind?
I've amended the code to bring item descriptions (as below), but I really would like to go further.
    1.
It would be important for me to select a date range, from and to, and the query to show the number of days out of stock.  Would it be  easier for the report to show in columns the stock level each day, and so I could see a pattern of gap periods?  Either that or a count of zero stock days over a given period.
    2.
I would also need to filter the results by certain item properties (Qrygroup), or am I asking too much!
Anyways this is where I got to:
    Select T0.ItemCode, T0.[Dscription], sum(T0.InQty - T0.OutQty) as "Qty In/Out"
    from dbo.OINM T0
    Where T0.DocDate <= '[%0]' and T0.InQty != T0.OutQty and t0.Warehouse LIKE '%[%1]%'
    Group by T0.[Dscription], T0.ItemCode Having sum(T0.InQty) = sum(T0.OutQty)
    Order by T0.ItemCode
    Many thanks
    Andy

  • 'In Stock' quantities by warehouse in Sales Order

    Hello All
Can anyone advise if there is anyway that a user can view the 'in-stock' quantity per warehouse ina sales order. Currently the 'in-stock' column is totalling all stock across all warehouses, but my customer would like to see the quantity in one specific warehouse. Is this possible as standard, or would I need to do a formatted search?
    Thanks
