Never received my Gamers Club coupons, signed up in May

I signed up back in May during one of the sales on the subscription and never received my coupon packet. I assumed it was not included since I got it on sale, then was just recently informed that I should have received it.

  • Haven't received any Gamers Club Coupons

    I renewed in November 2013 and I didn't get any coupons for December which didn't bother me too much.  I kind of figured it would take some time to get back into the system.  Now it is February and I still haven't received any coupons from the monthly "issues".  I know they don't send out the magazine anymore but I haven't gotten any e-mails containing any coupons either.  I know that my e-mail on file is correct because I received other GC e-mails.  Just no coupons to be had.  I am really disappointed because obviously that is a big part of the value of paying to be in the GC.  I know for a fact of the last 3 sets of coupons I missed I would have used at least 6 of them.

    As you are aware, the @ Gamer benefit was discontinued for new or renewed Unlocked subscriptions last November.  The coupons were a part of the magazine, and are not being sent separate from it.  I am sorry for any misunderstanding in this regard.

  • Haven't received all Gamers Club Unlocked Benefits

    So I've purchased Gamers Club Unlocked back in February, and while I've received new games for 20% off, I didn't receive the 10% bonus trade in credit, 10% off a preowned game, and the two special welcome coupons.   • 30.00 gamers club coupon.

    Best buy just cancelled my gamers club membership after two years because the said they sent me a 30 dollar retention coupon and I never used it. After 1 hr on the phone and multiple denials I finally got a supervisor who who lied and made excuses before deciding to hang up on me because I refused to accept that theres nothing that can be done. They have officially lost my business, Every great experience that I've had with best buy just went to h***

    Good afternoon gazevedo, and welcome to the forum,
    From what I can see, we did not cancel your Unlocked membership.  It appears that your membership expired sometime back in late September or early October and you did not go into a Best Buy store to renew it.  When the Unlocked enhancements were announced, a coupon was issued to those existing Unlocked members offering them the opportunity to renew their membership for $30.  For those Unlocked members that were eligible, the coupon was either sent via email or physical mail.  It really depended on if the information we had on file was accurate.
    The renewal coupon officially expired on 2/10/2014, and to my knowledge, we have no current plans to extend the expiration date.  There is not much the phone agents could have done to renew your Unlocked membership or provide you with the coupon because it had already expired.  If a member claimed to not have received the coupon when it was still active, then we could request a replacement be emailed.  While the $30 coupon has expired, we do have new coupons and promotional offers from time-to-time, so a discount coupon in the future is a possibility.

    Thanks for renewing your Gamers Club Unlocked membership!  With all the great games coming out I'm sure it will pay for itself in no time!  I'm personally going to need to start a game release calendar to keep them all straight.
    As AWBrown mentioned, one of the changes to our Unlocked program last November was that the @ Gamer magazine subscription is no longer a member benefit.  You are eligible for all the current benefits, which can be found at our article below.

    Hopefully many of you have heard that we’re currently adding some enhancements to our My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked program. You may have even had a chance to take a look at all of the great benefits that the program offers. If you are an active member or member whose membership may have expired since May 1, 2013, we are providing a coupon to allow you to renew your Unlocked membership for an additional two years for just $30. Here’s how it will work.
    Starting today, November 7, 2013, emails began to go out to these current and past members that include the coupon mentioned above. These emails will continue to go out over the next couple of days. To help ensure that all qualifying members are able to enjoy these benefits as soon as possible, we have some great news for you. Anyone whose account has expired since May 1, 2013 or does expire prior to February 10, 2014 will have their membership extended to February 10, 2014 at no cost to you. We’ve provided the answers to some questions you may have below.
    Q: How will I receive the coupon to extend my Unlocked membership?
    A: The $30 coupon will be sent to the email address associated with your My Best Buy account. These will begin to go out within a couple of days via email, however we realize that some of you have opted out of receiving email communication from us. For those customers, we will be mailing this coupon to your physical address associated with your My Best Buy membership. Mailing these out can take some time, so please be patient. Don't worry, though. We've got your back which is why we're extending your membership to get these benefits to you even sooner.
    Q: How can I verify my current My Best Buy enrollment status along with the email and address that is attached to my account?
    A: All of this can be done by logging in to your My Best Buy account. Once logged in, use the “My Account” drop-down to view your “Manage Profile” page.     Q: When will my account be updated to reflect the February 10, 2014 expiration date?
    A: We are currently working to update these eligible accounts within the next few business days to have it completed in time for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launches.
    Update as of 11/11/13:
    As of today, all of the email coupons that we are able to send for the Unlocked membership extension have been sent. Please make sure you are checking any junk or spam folders in your account in case these were incorrectly filtered. For those of you that qualify but have not received the coupon, I assure you that you will not be left out and that we are still working to send out the rest through the mail. This may still take some time and we appreciate your patience as we continue to work through this process.
    We are aware that some of you that have received and redeemed this coupon only got an extension for one year instead of the two that we mentioned above. We are actively working with our My Best Buy team to ensure you get the full two-year extension.
    We are also still working to extend the accounts of qualifying members to reflect the new date of February 10, 2014 as outlined above.     I tried calling MYBBY Support, and they were of no use. Long story short, I have been an Unlocked member since the start, and just renewed my membership last month. When I look in the Profile section under myBBY it only shows me as 
    RZ Gamers Club (free)
    And not UNLOCKED like it used to. I just paid $30 for another year renewal, starting next month, and now I am only going to get half a year? Or will I get another full year, which I paid for, plus another 2 years with the coupon.
    Speaking of the coupon, I want to verify I am going to get it, since my profile says FREE and not UNLOCKED. I called MYBBY and have a case with the "Back Office" but have not heard back yet.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked frustration with activation

    I ordered a GCU online, 12/26. It got lost in the mail and they had to ship me a new one. A few days after receiving it I brought it in to activate it. They peeled back the yellow sticker and scanned it. It said the card had already been activated. So I went and picked out a game. Rang up full price. Put it back. Called best buy customer service. They weren't helpful. Called again the next day, nothing. Went back a week later thinking it may have been something that needed time to activate. Nothing still. Called up customer service again. Had them combine an old account and my current one, just in case there was some confusion somehow. Went to buy Evolve...full price. Want to buy, the order...but I know what it's gonna say.
    Dunno what to do now, it sounds like my card was activated to another account, but no one seems to be able to track it. My bb acount is the same as the email for my profile. Any help would be great.

    I have reviewed your account and I do see where a secondary account was merged, but the active account is showing Gamers Club Unlocked.  I believe that when the merge was completed that the secondary account, which had received your Gamers Club Unlocked account, was transferred into your primary and therefore your Unlocked status was also transferred.  You should be able to use your Unlocked discount on your next purchase in-store or at BestBuy.com.  Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

  • Never receive my IPAD 2, what will you do?

    My new IPAD 2 was due to be delivered to my work place on 3/28 by FedEx, but I never received mine, the mail room signed for 6 IPADs, but FedEx only delivered 4, I was one of the unlucky two.
    The security cam seems showing the FedEx guy delivered only four IPADs, but who knows? I called Fedex, and they said to call Apple, Company says mine is personal item, they are not responsible for it (Company policy that no one knows), I have no choice but to dispute the charge, I know it is not Apple's fault, but what else I can do?
    Also, I know Apple never shows serial number, as I owned IPAD, IPOD, is there anyway Apple can trace my IPAD 2 that never came?

    Sorry, but there is nothing Apple can do for you in this matter. If your receiving department signed for six iPad, then there probably isn't anything even FedEx will be obligated to do, since their records will show that your company agreed that the items were delivered. You need to take this up with your company management as an internal matter.

    I bought two disney infinity figure for 9.99 each and thought gcu works with infinity figures but it didn't come off the total. The employee told me it doesn't work with infinity figures he thinks. I swear it came off before when I bought some last time. Does it work with disney infinity or not? Thanks in advance.

  • Gaming Pre-orders and Gamers Club Unlocked

    Everytime I pre-order a game, I'm charged the full price (minus the deposit) when I go to pick it up. I purchased Gamers Club Unlocked last October and should be getting 20% off until October 2016.
    The first time I tried to use the promotion on a pre-order was last November (less than a month from purchasing the service). I pre-ordered a game that had the 500 Rewards points promotion for pre-order and purchase. When I went to pick up the game, I was charged in full. I told the associate that I had GCU, so he had to adjust the price manually. I'm not sure about all the math but it deducted points from that 500 point promotion. 
    The last time I went to pick up a pre-ordered game was 2 days ago; I also had a $5 reward certificate with me. Once again, 20% was not taken off the purchase so the associate asked for help from a few others. After about 15 minutes and a couple voids. They had to treat the pre-order as a normal purchase and refund me the $5 pre-order deposit. That's fine seeing as there really was no pre-order bonus on this particular item.
    I'm just asking: do I have to go through this everytime I pre-order a game at Best Buy?

    It is strange that you would have such difficulties with receiving your Gamers Club Unlocked benefits if it is appropriately attached to your My Best Buy membership. Receiving these benefts, especially when pre-ordering games, should be a painless process, and I'm sorry to hear it hasn't been for you. 
    Using the information registered with the forum, I see that your Gamers Club Unlocked membership appears to be attached appropriately. With having said that, I'm sorry to say I can't speak as to why you have encountered these issues.
    I do see that when you originally went to pickup your most recent pre-order, that you did receive the Gamers Club Unlocked discount, and that your My Best Buy certificate was applied. However, this transaction left off your pre-order deposit, which led to the chain of reprocessing the transaction a few times to get it sorted out. I apologize for any hassle that this has caused.
    If you continue to experience trouble with pre-ordering, please let us know so that we may look further into this with you!

    I activated my Gamers Club Unlocked membership in store on Sunday, and now when I try to use it online the discount doesn't show up.

    You can view the current status of your account by clicking here and logging in.  After you log in, please click the "Rewards" page.  Your status and expiration should appear on the right side of the page.  Please make sure that your account information is updated.  If you're still having troubles with your Gamers Club Unlocked membership, then you may want to return to the store.
