i was update my phone and now all sowfter goen from my phone. i can't active my phone,thats showing me no sim installed. after that i was restor as well but they showing me same thing its not working so please tall me what i gonna do now.

  • Will someone please fix my phone line ????????

    We recently transferred our calls & broadband back to BT. Keeping this as brief as possible - BT said they were starting their service on 20th September & everything appeared to go smoothly. It subsequently transpired that our phone number had not been transferred, so when the previous provider terminated their service to us on 6th October we were then unable to make outgoing calls.
    Despite many hours on the phone to BT the problem has not been resolved, with most customer services staff ( I have spoken with at least 10 different individuals) seeming to be unable to grasp the basics of what has happened. One (rare) helpful chap advised thus : our (BT's) original request to transfer the number to us failed for reasons unknown. Subsequent requests to transfer the number are also failing because the previous provider no longer owns the number (it's terminated, remember) - they cannot transfer something they no longer own. We'll put a 'stop/start' instruction on your line.
    Sadly this message doesn't appear to have been passed to the relevant department, and everyone I have subsequently spoken with advises me that they will re-submit the order to the previous provider to transfer the number over. Which of course fails every time. It's just like groundhog day. The last person I spoke with 'guaranteed' me that he would call me back by 9.30pm this evening and that my problem would also be fixed by then. Neither of these things has happened.
    In the meantime, we do have a workaround in that we can make outgoing calls if we prefix the number with 1280. I still have 2 concerns though:
    1) I was supposed to be on the anytime tariff as of 20th September & I should not have to pay for any calls that I made (unknowingly) via the other provider between 20th September and 6th October when they terminated my contract.
    2) For the sake of my mental health I don't wish to spend any more hours on the phone trying to get hold of a human being, or (mostly) on hold or speaking with people who simply won't listen to me or don't understand English. My last call was 62 minutes & 28 seconds long and I would estimate that 45 of those minutes were spent on hold.
    Would someone please, please, PLEASE fix my line so that I can make outgoing calls ????????????????????????

    Update:  I tried the "Toshiba Recovery Wizard" after everything else either fizzled out or hung up. After going all the way thru the recovery process (up to 100%), I finally got an error message.....it didn't work. And now, when I fire up the computer, I don't even get to that menu with the recovery options....the only thing I can boot into is the screens with the various ways to run your OS (in "safe mode", "safe mode with networking", etc).
    I'm not a techie, but I'm guessing at this point, the part of my hard drive that got damaged in the fall was, at the very least, the partition with the recovery data. Couple that with the fact that this cheapo Toshiba laptop didn't even come with recovery disk (or ANY kind of disk, even basic installation software!), I'm screwed: I don't see any way to get a workable computer now without some kind of disk to boot from. So NOW my concern is more about spending the $$ for a new OS and THEN finding out the hard drive has other problems too...is broken in some other way to boot.
    How to check this? As I said, I did run "chkdsk" back when I could get into the recovery menu and run the fix-it programs. It didn't note any problems. Thinking of taking this opportunity to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista (which I never liked), but I have to know that the computer is otherwise ok....how to be sure?

    I tried to disable siri but the it did the same thing with voice control please make an option to disable all these things because i never use siri but there it is going off without being called upon please fix sooooon!!!!

    It sounds as if the button in the headphones is stuck and that is what is doing it. In the one wire of the headphones is a button to activate Siri. It is very possible something is wrong with that. Does the phone activate Siri all the time when the headphones are not plugged in? The headphones have the same warranty as the phone. Take the device with the headphones back to the Apple store and they can replace them.

     I have experienced a cataloge of corrosponce with BT dealing with the bad broadband speed issues that I have had on my connection since last november. Too long to list here see the link below
    Terrible broadband speed
     Its fair to say that individual BT operators and advisors have been courtious and have tried to be helpfull most of the time but...BT have failed to find a long term fix for my issues.
    The last month up until yesterday I was lucky enough to experience a wopping and reasonable steady 1.5 mbps...wow! Seriously it was fantasic! Compared to a miserable 0.3mbps or worse. I felt I was getting what I was paying for! Then the bill came in (and was wrong yet again!)! and coincidently? the speed returned to its former low!
     Without baffling the humble user with scientific terminology, it turns out the problem is caused by line noise - not of my own making! Well, I noticed that incoming calls on the landline telephone were knocking my broadband out, after a while I made the desision to dissconnect the phone because of the issues with calls knocking my speed down. I imformed as many of my familly and friends not to call me on my phone and use my cell instead. However I can't stop random incoming calls, which sends the blue lights on my hub to flickering orange. This in turn equates to the stupid adsl2 software that BT use, knocking down my profile and hence speed!
     When are BT going to get to grips with their stiffling system that takes up to ten days to recallibrate itself?
     Their old system used to work fine at this rural address, quickly reasserting itself if there was a line knockout or interference - which is common in rural locations. Now it seems in order for BT to advertise super fast speeds to most that can benefit from it who live within a couple miles of the exchange. The rest of us that don't, have to suffer for the sake of this new adsl2 system. Its a shambles and at times heartbreaking and BT still expect us to pay the same as anyone else!
     Dont be fooled. If you live in a rural location or more than two miles from the exchange, the chances are that if you are experiencing loss of BB speeds recently, whence before you had a reasonable service. Its down to the new BT adsl2 system they have brought in. Its not your fault, don't let the customer support advisors tell you otherwise! At least thats my experience!
     The new system is more sensitive to noise, true it may be marginally faster, but as it turns out at what cost?
     I have had a dozen engineers who have come round and each remarkably have "found and fixed the problem" then I get a reasonable speed for a few days before it drops again as of yet I have not had a pernament fix!
     The loss of speed issues have led to a series of 'knock on effects' including my wireless BB BT mobile going beserk leading to a £260.00 bill for one month!
    #Being charged £40.00 for Broadband phone calls I did not make - I had to call in the police for the theft of phone calls made before BT would take me seriously - they said there was no record and that it was impossible to hack BT broadband phones! In the end they found a 'mistake' but it was a **bleep** of a fight to get them to admit that!
    Even after that, they cut me off (for non payment of these calls) and are now trying to charge me a reconnection fee!
    Also I am paying for an 'unlimited' broadband package and broadband anywhere - which is a complete joke because I am lucky if I can get broadband anywhere at all!I know I really need to sort this out - but there is no one dpartment it seems that can deal with it all
    After my BT Broadband Anywhere phone freaked out (Down to issues related to my BT hub losing connections - I ended up asking BT Mobile to dissconect my gprs for fear of it happening again - even though I was paying for the 'unlimited 'gprs service) and the 'stolen' BB phone issues, I dissconected my wireless completely!
    So NO BB on my BT mobile, on average I am lucky if I get a week a month on maybe 1mbps, the other three weeks on 0.3mpps on my home broadband.
     The trouble is that I am so sick and tired of being pushed from department to department and repeating myself on a weekly or even daily basis. I can never get one individual who can deal with all my problems in one go, #I am absolutely fatigued with it all.
    Going somewhere else is not an option I am imformed where I live.
    I have written letters to the customer service department and they have phoned me back and said things often at times when I am off-guard , so its hard to remember the details.
    Now my policy is to have everything put in writing.
    Despite using BT's 'contact us' form to report the latest speed issues and ticking the box that says
    "respond by email" and stating "Please don't phone me" as well on my message body....I get a series of phone calls! Both on my mobile number and on my landline!
    No comprehensible message returned as requested by email but phone calls from polite and friendly Indian help advisors...and guess what?   The calls the BT staff have made on my landline, has knocked my profile down even further!
    Even though I headed my message with "Please do not phone me on my landline phone number"
    How ignorant is that?
    I have even asked for my landline calls to be diverted, but that costs £5.00 pm - I don't see why I should have to pay for this.
    What I would like is for one BT person who can sort out All of these problems for me
    (That'l be technical department, security department, billing department, sales department, customer service department and more and then back again - I hav'nt got the stomach or time for being pushed from pillar to post!)
    - but from BT that is probablly asking too much!
    I fell I have had so many problems with the BT Broadband service, with the time I have spent trying to get things sorted, BT should be paying me! And  they should take a good hard look at how their system works!
     Bt have a **bleep** cheek to charge me £150.00 per quarter for all this!
    My father pays £96.00 for this same service, gets 8.00mbpsm, can use his landline and hubphone, can use his wireless, plus BT vision as well - How fair is this?

    It would be Otello and not Ofcom but in my experience they are very much in the pocket of BT (not least since they are funded by the telcom companies).

    Try a Restart. 
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
    You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
    Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

    if they are unable to update all languages in a normal time gap (it is now 6 months ago they released firmware 4.22 for the first product code (actually mine and maybe a few others)), they should not offer those many versions. the huge bug with out of memory in nokia navigator with firmware 3.58 is not fixed yet for those people. really absolutely not acceptable.
    besides that, currently my phone is in a nokia service center, microphone doesnt work anymore (the one who i call just hears a very loud noise). my brother got the same phone, his one is in nokia service center since 2 weeks now, because it doesnt charge anymore as there seems to be a connection broken inside the phone).
    well that will be fun if the phone returns (approximately 4 weeks), as I guess the phones will have new IMEIs as they will send 2 new phones and not fix the problem (would cost them more). but as i got a western europe with nordics-map licence locked to the imei, the next problem will be there after I get a nokia 6110navi with another IMEI back. i get really upset with this really slow support.

    There used to be a "Enable 3G" toggle in the cellular data menu. It is no longer present and has been replaced by "Enable LTE".

    even I was surprised seeing the 3G toggle is missing from setting on my iphone 5 after updating to iOS 8, I don't get it hoe can that be carrier related when the same thing exists in iOS 7.. stop fooling us apple. Having that toggle is a must every other phone on market has it. It benefits a lot if you are in WiFi zone whole day to save some battery. It was the only reason I downgraded to iOS 7 because I cant afford to plug in my device for charging 3 times a day!! where has your common sense gone apple? after steve jobs this company has only degraded.

    If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked.  I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed.  eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money.  I sell phones for a living and this happens a lot

    I have provided some steps below that may help with the Caller Id issue you are experiencing.
    Try completing a soft reset on the device. A soft reset would be powering the device off and pulling out the battery. Once the battery is removed, place it back in and power the device back on.
    Dial *228 and send. Once dialed, listen for the recording to prompt you for option 1 and select option 1. The phone should complete its programming within a minute.
    Ensure you are using the area-code and 7 digit number format (ex. 9999951212)
    Try removing the contact and re-adding it.

    i went to charge my phone, but when i took the charger out, the conector (inside the charger hole) came out with the charger, i called up orange and asked if they could fix my phone as im on contract but theyve told me i either have to pay 61 pounds or email blackberry on this website and see if you could fix my phone under the 12 month warrinty which should steel be avaliable to me.

    Orange is wrong and they know it... there is no where on this site  "email  blackberry". This is a user-to-user community support forum. We are not RIM employees, but volunteers who enjoy assisting other users. RIM personnel rarely comment on queries posted here.
    You need to call Orange back and demand some satisfaction and not to tell you again to "email BlackBerry" unless they specifically give you the email address.

  • IPhones Safari keeps crashing Apple please fix this.

    I know there is another top posted about this... if you google the 3 words... "iPhone, Safari, and Crash" in google or yahoo search hundreds of results of people complaining and apple still hasn't acknowledged the problem. I used the 1st generation iPhone for a year. My girlfriend still uses a 1st gen iPhone. I now use the iPhone 3g and I bought it in hopes that apple fixed how often safari crashes. Safari crashes all the time while loading a page safari will just launch me back to the home screen. This happens on 100% of everybody's iPhone I have ever tested. It happens mostly in forums while typing such as this one. I tried and failed twice to post in this forum with my iPhone because safari crashed and it was so frustrating. I have had an Iphone now for a year and a half and my girlfriend has as well. It is time you recognize this problem apple and do something about it. If you don't believe me log on to this very forum and reply to this message with your iPhone and see if it doesn't lag until you are just about frozen and then kick you back to the home screen. Apple I give you until December to fix this problem. Otherwise I will ebay my phones and then buy either the LG Dare, Samsung Instinct, T-mobiles new Google Android phone, or a windows mobile. PLEASE FIX SAFARI

    The only reason I thought the new iphone would make some sort of difference is because in other maps such as SMS/MAPS/SETTINGS/AIM/MYSPACE mobile and many more the screen runs smoother and is more responsive. I have compared it to my 1st gen iPhone, my friends iPhone, and my girls iPhone. The new 3g just glides through everything a little smoother so I hoped maybe safari was more stable on the new platform. I was wrong. Regardless SAFARI should work perfectly on both iPhones that is, to alot of people, the most important application of all. It crashes more than any other 10 fold.

    I have problem with my volume slider. It works fine for, like 7 to 6 hours. Then, the problem of volume slider started to occur. Every time I adjust the volume slider it slides back to where it was.     I have the way to fix the problem, though, is to restart iPhone. but I dont want to restart my iPhone everytime this problem occur

    I thought upgrading the FW would help but its not!

    My problem is when I am using my phone hooked up through the headphones in my car, every now and then the volume will slide on its own either all the way up or all the way down and the volume picture will be stuck on. The only way to stop this is to turn the phone off and then back on. It doesn't happen all the time and I guess I am too lazy to call Apple or go to a store and my question still has not been answered on this forum. Up until now I have not heard anyone else having this problem and yours is very close to what I am experiencing but at the same time different. I will try the resetting of my phone to see if that works. Thanks for your post.

    I want my original iphone back!! I LOVED my original iphone. I never even upgraded to 3g or 3gs because it always just worked for me. I was excited to try the new iphone 4, thinking it was time to upgrade. I'm so sorry I did it. I am now on my 2nd iphone 4 and am even more unhappy than I was with the first one. I didn't have dropped calls on my first one but the time keep changing to another time zone randomly and didn't change when it should. Now with my second iphone 4 I'm having the sensor issue CONSTANTLY. I've tried it with case, without case, it doesn't seem to even matter. I put people on hold, speakerphone, disconnect, mute. It's a nightmare.
    I have been a loyal apple advocate since in the early 80's but this product may just shake my support. PLEASE fix this issue. Don't tell me to buy a case! It doesn't fix the problem.

    (I have to admire such courage. You wouldn't catch me using my £600 phone whilst intentionally leaving go of it!)

  • Number for voicemail is locked/unchangeable -- please fix in future version

    The speeddial button in the lower right corner of the Phone App (not sure if it's call an app ...) that's suppose to call the number of the carriers voicemail (not visual!) can not be changed ...!
    That's a problem as I've switch to a new carrier (with new SIM). Pressing the button dials the previous carriers voicemail. Have the problem with both iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 running iOS 4.3.1.
    I've tried the storing the number with the 5005*86[number for voicemail]# - and sure it's stored as seen with the #500586# but the button still dials the old carriers voicemail!
    The carrier says it's locked by Apple, that it's unchangeable. That *****
    Apple, if this is true please fix this in future version of iOS Or please tell me how I can store the new, correct number for voicemail (no, not in addressbook - on the speeddial button).
