Processes Not Posting After Maintenance

Hi,
Periodically, processes will go to Not Posted status after we bounce the servers during our maintenance window. Usually, bouncing the process scheduler and clearing the cache does the trick. However, one in a blue moon, jobs simply will not post. We will spend hours bouncing servers, clearing caches, etc. and nothing works. Then a couple of hours later everything will start to post.
Any familiar experiences or thoughts on why this occurs?

The maintenance varies from week to week; it's generally OS-level patching that doesn't require a reboot. I've got an experienced Tech Arch team taking the servers up and down, so I'm confident that the servers are being bounced correctly.
In the past, when reports have not posted after maintenance we have shut down the process scheduler and cleared cache and reports started posting. More recently, we've bounced the servers for several hours only to have reports start posting on their own afterwards.
I pulled the stdout log and found the following:
Java exception thrown: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (errno:239)
HTTP Status Code is: 900 (63,72)
Error getting report repository location. (63,85)
SchedulerTransfer Servlet error. (63,74)

  • Result Analysis(WIP) not posted after 4 cycle run

    Hi,
Every month value is posted in Result Analysis GL account for WIP. But we found in period 10 and period 11 value is not posted Result Analysis GL account after running 4 cycle run (Overhead calculation, WIP calculation, Variance calculation and Settlement). What may be reason ??

    Hi Christian ,
One question related to Cut-Off period regarding WIP calculation which myself and Ajay were discussing 15 days  back..
Is it required to change the cut-off everymonth when we calculate WIP . In my client.. then donot do that .. but still we calculate the WIP..
Is the significance of cut-off period is to tell the system the first period to calculate WIP .. during implementation .. My client never changes that and its in a MTS ( Process Order Senario )... but calculates WIP every month.

  • 785GTM-E45 not POSTing after a week (Need help)

    Hello guys and girls,
    Good day to you.
I am new here as I just happily purchase my new MSI motherboard last week. Yay~
However, I am now currently facing problem in POSTing the PC after it was working beautifully for a week. Hope someone can help me as I have exhausted my testing/diagnostics options.
Some other infos that might be informative :-
1.) APS LED does not light anymore.
2.) No longer have successful POST beep anymore. (CPU Cooler comes on though)
3.) Of course the black screen.
4.) The last boot time, I remember seeing CMOS related error in the POST screen. After that loaded into Windows XP 32bit and I restarted the PC. Then the No POST happened.
    My PC hardware components :-
    CPU: Athlon X2 5000 (2.2GHz)
Motherboard: MSI 785GTM-E45 (ver 1.4) (No idea on how to check the BIOS as I can't even POST now)
RAM: I have 4 units working memory that I have tested to be working in this motherboard before it is not POSTing.
    a.) Kingston DDR2 667MHz (KVR667D2N5/2G) [1 Stick]
    b.) Mushkin DDR2 800MHz [1 Stick]
c.) Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066MHz 2x1GB Kit [2 Sticks] (using this one as the main before it failed to POST)
    Graphics: Using onboard
    PSU: Seasonic S12D 750W
    a.) +3.3V = 24A ; +5V = 30A. (150W)
    b.) +12V Combine = 62A (744W)
    c.) -12V = 0.8A (9.6W)
    d.) +5Vsb = 3A (15W)
Diagnostics that I have done :-
1.) Checked whether the motherboard is touching the casing which will ground it. The motherboard is screwed on the standoffs with a 1.5cm away from the case. Checked the motherboard edges, not touching the casing either. Checked whether is there any screws that are short-circuiting the motherboard, nothing there as well.
2.) Unplug the HDD and ODD. No POST as well. Plugged the HDD and ODD to another computer, it works.
3.) Triple checked the power connections in the PC. No POST. After that plugged my Seasonic PSU to another computer to test. It was working.
4.) Plugged another working PSU (Xigmatek 550W) from a working PC. Quadruple check the power connections is correct. No POST still.
5.) Test the memory DIMMs with different slots (all 4 of them). Installed one at a time and each time is in different slot. No POST still. Tried the board with NO memory, it beeps non-stop (Good news it is still working?)
6.) Did the Clear CMOS method according to manual. No POST still.
7.) Checked the monitor by plugging into another computer and see whether is it faulty. Is working.
8.) Retest all the memory DIMMs in another PC. All 4 DIMMs is working in another PC.
9.) Carefully remove the CPU and reseat the processor. After that retest all the 4 memory DIMMS (No matter which slot). No POST still.
10.) Disassemble the motherboard from the casing and other components to checked whether the capacitors are bad. Didn't detect any.
11.) Plugged in a working graphic card to check whether the onboard graphic is faulty. No POST still.
So now, I think I am left with 2 possibilities. The processor or the motherboard, however, the motherboard was the one showing symptoms based on the LED thing. So I am siding towards the motherboard is faulty?
I am out of ideas now. Hope someone can help me.

Yes, the CPU power is connected. both the 4 pins and 24 pins.
Some updates, I went to buy a Sempron 140 processor to test just for the sake whether the mobo works.. I just burnt some money on it.. it won't work.. Brought the motherboard back to the shop, they tested it and it is faulty.. so warranty claim. Guess I wont have a mobo for sometime..
Consider solved and I just burnt some money buying a spare proc which I think I wont be using also. haha.
Thanks for everyone who attempted to help me.

  • System does not post after Bios Flash

After using Live Update to flash my Bios to the new version, the computer does not POST. The Bios Flash was successful - it rebooted and started normally. When I tried to restart it the normal way, it will not boot. The fans run when the "power on" button is pressed but nothing more. I cleared the CMOS using the jumpers but the problem was not solved. Can any one help?
Can some good Samaritan give me a step by step method to resolve this problem?

I followed the link you provided and managed to resolved it:
    1) Removed one memory stick and floppy;
    2) Cleared CMOS and rebooted successfully;
    3) Inserted floppy and reverted to the previous BIOS;
    4) Inserted the other memory stick and brought system back to full power again.
Thank you very much for your assistance. I am sure MSI is aware of the problem and will take steps to rectify it ASAP

  • K8N Neo4 Platinum 7125 not posting after overclock testing okay

    Hi Guys,
I'm having a real stinker of a problem with my 7125 board.  I have all good components, but can't seem to get this bastard to post reliably when I'm overclocking.  I was thinking that it was my power supply so I bought a new Antec Neo3 650W supply and it doesn't matter.  I also got a new Opteron 165 processor and it still has problems.  I even RMA'd my board and then sent me a new one.  Here is my setup.
    7125 ver1
    Opty 165
    Crucial PC3200 Ballistix
    Nvidia PCIE Gforce 6200 video
    Antec Neo3 650W
    2x Seagate SATA 80gig (matched) 7200.9
RAID 0 via the SIL 3114
extra 160 gig HD (using the Nvidia SATA port)
Pioneer DVD 109 DVDRW - pri IDE
Sony DRU-820A DVDRW - sec IDE
    Hauppauge PVR150
3.5" card reader (connected via internal usb header)
    Lian Li case
When I run the system at stock speeds everything works fine, including the initial posts.
However, when I overclock, everything is erratic.  Sometimes, I can overclock the entire system to 290x3, 166, stable memory settings, and prime 95 orthos the  out of it for days on end (max CPU at 49C), but when I select restart in windows, it shuts down fine, but will subsequently not post. I have to hit the reset key several times, then it recovers itself and undoes the overclocks.
I have tried all sorts of memory timings from the crucial info - it recommends 2.8V and 2-2-2-8 timings.
I have heard that my memory is good for overclocking, but I'm now starting to wonder if it is the MSI Neo4 board or the Nvidia Nforce 4 ultra chipset.
Could it be the Raid 0 on the Sil 3114?  I haven't messed with this as I would rather have a RAID 0 setup, then a little overclock.
Is there a good NF4 ultra board out there that is better than this?
I can't imagine anything else to do except keep spending more money to eliminate more variables.
    Your thoughts?  Thx Nick

relax your CPU HTT freq. by 10-20Mhz and retest.
relax your memory timings e.g. from 2-2-2-8 to 2.5-3-3-8, to findout from where its comes then find optimal settings.

  • Page item value set in app process not maintained after page submit

Hi -- I have a sequence of events that goes like this:
    1) Page 0 region REG_1 is rendered before footer
    - Region REG_1 uses javascript / AJAX to call App process PROC_1
    - PROC_1 sets Page1 item PAGE1_MESSAGE to X
    - After PROC_1 executes successfully, REG_1 does doSubmit()
    2) Page 0 region REG_2 is rendered before footer; this happens
after the page submit done by REG_1. (Conditions ensure that
    REG_1 is not rendered again)
    - Region REG_2 displays PAGE1_MESSAGE (=X) in an alert.
    - Region REG_2 uses javascript / AJAX to call App process PROC_2
    - PROC_2 sets Page1 item PAGE1_MESSAGE to Y
    - PROC_2 sets Application item DEBUG to PAGE1_MESSAGE (this is for debugging)
    - PROC_2 sets Application item APP_MESSAGE to Y (this is also for debugging)
    - After PROC_2 executes successfully, REG_2 does doSubmit()
    3) After REG_2 submits the page, here's what I have:
    - Application item APP_MESSAGE = Y. Good. This is what it was set to in PROC_2.
    - Page 1 item PAGE1_MESSAGE = X. Bad. This is what it was set to in PROC_1.
    - Application item DEBUG = Y. Good. This at least shows that PAGE1_MESSAGE was
set to Y within PROC_2... but for some reason that value is not being preserved
after the app process is done executing.
    - There are several other application items set in PROC_2, and they're all correct.
Any ideas as to why this is happening? It seems like this should be
pretty straightforward: set the value, submit the page, the value should be what
    I set it to.
    Thanks,
    Carol

Hi -- Thanks for the suggestions. First and 3rd (default value, or being overwritten by process or computation) aren't happening. The source for PAGE1_MESSAGE having is Always, Using app item PAGE1_MESSAGE... but I don't see what else could work here. Not sure if that's the problem.
I've put an example on apex.oracle.com. Workspace is dew_mir_tor. Username is [email protected]. Password is Mir97Dew77!Tor. Application is 22679, RefreshAllTest.
To reiterate the description in my original posting, but using the real application item/region/process names:
    0) Press Button REFRESH_ALL on Page 1. This branches back to Page 1.
    1) Page 0 region Refresh_All is rendered before footer
    - Region sends up an alert to show you it's working
    - Region Refresh_All uses javascript / AJAX to call App process REFRESH_CZAR (You'll see a "wait" window flash up briefly while the app process is running)
    - REFRESH_CZAR sets Page1 item P1_MESSAGE_1 to X (The text here indicates where
the value is being set and when it should be displayed)
    - After REFRESH_CZAR executes successfully, region Refresh_All does doSubmit()
    2) Page 0 region Refresh_Non_Czar is rendered before footer; this happens
after the page submit done by Refresh_Czar. (Conditions ensure that
    Refresh_Czar is not rendered again)
    - Region sends up an alert to show you it's working
    - Region Refresh_Non_Czar displays P1_MESSAGE_1 in an alert.
    - Region Refresh_Non_Czar uses javascript / AJAX to call App process REFRESH_NON_CZAR (You'll see a "wait" window flash up briefly while the app process is running)
    - REFRESH_NON_CZAR sets Page1 item P1_MESSAGE_1 to Y (The text here indicates where
the value is being set and when it should be displayed
    - REFRESH_NON_CZAR sets Application item TEST_VALUE2 to P1_MESSAGE_1 (this just shows that P1_MESSAGE_1 was indeed set to Y in this process...)
    - After process REFRESH_NON_CZAR executes successfully, region Refresh_Non_Czar does doSubmit()
    3) After Refresh_Non_Czar submits the page, Page 0 region Display_Messages is rendered.
It sends up an alert so you can see it's working, and then it displays the value in P1_MESSAGE_1.
The value is still the one that was set in REFRESH_CZAR, not the one set in REFRESH_NON_CZAR.
Note that Display_Messages sets P1_MESSAGE_1 back to null, so you won't see it in session state after it's displayed in the alert. But you can see that TEST_VALUE2 is set to the message from REFRESH_NON_CZAR.
Hope this helps solve the problem!
    Thanks,
    Carol

  • Integration Process not continuing after Synchronous BAPI call

I have an integration process that splits up a batch file of purchase orders into single purchase order messages. This allows me to use the "ForEach" block to call the synchronous BAPI_PO_CREATE1.
I have managed to get the process to call the BAPI and create the purchase order. The response message arrives back though the abstract synchronous interface and is mapped to the asyncronous response message. After that the process seems to hold where I am expecting it to continue on the process and be appended to a container storage list for mapping to a single return message.
I have not set up any correlation sets as I thought they wouldn't be needed for a sychronous call.
Has anyone got any advice on my approach to this process and how I might fix it.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Bhavesh,
There are no errors as such in the SXMB_MONI but it gets as far as the Inbound Message (PE_ADAPTER) stage after the Sych BAPI call.
Also the SOAP Header at this stage seems to be missing "sysnchronous" or "asynchronous" in the  SAP:ProcessingMode tags.
The technical workflow is as follows
FTP Batch file outbound to Integratin Process Receive (Async)
Transform message into a Multiline list of BAPI_PO_CREATE1.request (async abstract)
Enter "For Each" Block using the multiline list.
BAPI_PO_CREATE1 mapped to synchronous abstract interface
synchronous abstract interface mapped to BAPI_PO_CREATE.request and response
    BAPI_PO_CREATE.response mapped to async BAPI_PO_CREATE.response
async BAPI_PO_CREATE.response appended to multiline list
    Exit block
Transform multiline response list into single line response
    FTP inbound
As far as I can make out I have not correctly configured the receiver of PO_CREATE1.response after it has been mapped from the sync to async so it just persists it and sits there waiting or it is waiting for somethign else to happen.
Let me know if I can clarify anything further.
    Thanks
    Ben

  • BPM is in Process (Not completed after 3 days also)

    Dear All,
I have an existing scenario, which was working fine.
The scenario is File to IDoc, wherein picking up a file and splitting into multiple IDocs. The BPM is working out; able to send IDocs but not all the ones.
The bpm is still in process it has to send some more IDocs. When I see the work flow log: It says u201CWaiting for event 'RECEIVED' of object type 'ZXI_PROXY_MI_*_0002' u201C. When I open up the wait stepXML MessagesInstance ID u201CIt shows the status: Transfer to Processu201D
Over all, it has to send some more IDocs and complete the process.
I have checked the queues in XI and R/3 also. No entries found.
Does it happening because of huge data file?
What could be the problem? Any suggestions?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Venu V

    Hi,
    >>>The scenario is File to IDoc, wherein picking up a file and splitting into multiple IDocs.
there is just one answer to this question:
don't EVER use a BPM for splitting a file into multiple IDOCs...
this can be done without the use of a BPM by changing the occurance of the IDOC
    then the flow will work
correct your flow and it will work perfectly

  • Z77-GD55 not posting after Win8 Update

    Hi folks,
i´m in need of help as i am done with my knowledge here. After i updated my PC to Win8  it sometimes didn´t boot up. After 4x-8x restarting unplugging etc it went back to working normal. Today it got stuck in a boot loop. Before the update i swapped the memory sticks into different banks, as otherwise the heatsink wouldn´t fit, so now they are sitting in bank 2 and 4. Besides that the Soundcard went from the uper PCIe slot in one of the lower ones. I already tried swapping memory modules, disconnetcing all devices, unplugging GPU, HDD, and the Sound Card. Result so far is either a boot loop, meaning the PC seemingly powers up, all vents running and then restarts or inbetween i got a 3x times beep. Now i´m cluelesse.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks a lot !!

    Strange analysis and assumption indeed.
You had a working board. You load the OS and now it doesn't work. The only known change was the OS.
With Win8 not being able to write and embed its serial key to the BIOS, I wouldn't be surprised if that caused BIOS corruption.
I think he indicated that he broke it trying to fix this issue. It just wouldn't load the OS then he re-seated everything and it boot looped.

  • P7N SLI FI not posting after 1600mhz fsb

I can get stable at 1500fsb, 800mem on a c2d e6300.  But when I reach 1600 it won't post.  Any help would be appreciated.  My system specs are:
    E6300
    Corsair DDR2 XMS 800mhz 4 4 4 12 2t, 2.1v
    OCZ Gamestream 700w PS
    Nvidia gtx260

It all depends on which E6300 you have and did you ever think about the fact your cpu doesnt do a FSB of 1600??
If you have the 2.8GHz version, its rated @1066MHz fsb, with 10.5 multiplier, so when you do 1600Mhz, its gonna be 10.5*400=4.2GHz!!
    Even for a 45nm C2D thats a lot.
You say you can do 1500MHz, so thats 10.5*375=3.94GHz already, so even if you get it done, you'll hardly notice the difference.
So its prob not the board but the cpu that has reached its limit.
Just because some dude in the world gets it done, doesnt mean you can do it too you know.
Even if you have the 1.86GHz version, the 65nm Conroe C2D, it also can be you reached the limit of the cpu, cause then it would be 7*400=2800Mhz
and that would be a 1GHz overclock on a budget cpu.
I know it can bedone, but I havent seen many get there without troubles and a lot of testing and trying.
But hey, if you dont have the patience, overclocking isnt your thing, cause you need a lot of patience and time.
It not just pressing the numbers and presto, it works.
Oh and 1 more thing, its a USER to USER forum, so it takes time for people to answer, cause the most here have a normal dayjob/life and do this on the side.
So no-one here works for MSI or has anything to do with MSI, besides running this forum.
Also MSI personell/staff/techs dont ever post here, they seldom do, so ranting about customerservice and badboards is useless here, cause MSI will never read it.

Yeah, it often happens, that the system runs fine during stress tests, but has problems to boot-up properly when there are memory related problems (initialization problems).
    Quote
do you think my memory is defective in some way?
Not necessarely defective.  The question is what the native speed/timing ratings of the memory chips look like.  Also, DDR3-1066 is actually the max. memory speed that your CPU's memory controller natively supports (according to Intel Specifications).  So it is good to start testing here (does not cost anything and is not risky either).  If the system starts fine @lower memory clock speeds, we will know more.

I ran spybot this morning and 3 objects it found were in memory and required a reboot to remove.  I selected restart and and the machine shut down .... it came back to the platinum screen and there it sits.  I have powered cycled the box no change.  I cannot even boot from a floppy.  I cannot access the bios.  its as if it did not completely finish coming down before the restart.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 1070us will not POST

    Model: HP Pavilion dv7 1070us
System will not POST after replacing FAN.
I first replaced the FAN, then after re-assembling the unit resulting in:
    Black screen,
CAPS-LOCK white LED continuous 1 second blink,
    F12-WIFI amber LED solid ON,
    The FAN comes on, then stops for a few seconds then restarts and stays on;
I thought this indicated that the CPU was running.
I did all the normal tricks:
    RAM in-out various combinations,
    CMOS battery removal.
Power adapter and Battery removal combinations.
Hard Reset by holding power button for 15-30 seconds w/o battery or PS attached.
remove un-necessary devices: HD, wi-fi, DVD, etc
    Still does not work.
So I figured the Video portion of the CPU was bad.
I then ordered and replaced the AMD A10 4600m CPU.
Re-assembled the machine and still the same symptoms.
I guess the CPU was not bad.
    I give up.
How could HP release a machine that does not POST when the main pieces are good:
    Motherboard,
    CPU,
    RAM
    Power.
I did not buy a new CMOS battery. Can't imagine that would keep it from POST'ing.
Any help ????  Otherwise went from working to JUNK.
