Project - Change Management Tab missing

Hi Guys
After renaming a test Solution Manager, which is a copy from an existing System, Change Management Tab is not visible in the a Project Attributes.
Before the SID renaming, the tab was visible, but after chaning the name to SMT, it no longer appear.
When accessing  SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN transaction, under System Landscape, there are only three tabs instead of four
Some logical relation is missing? Any idea where can I verify why?
Thanks!
Copied and Renamed system (SMT) with SOLMAN_ADMIN, client 200
Original System (SSM), user SOLMAN_ADMIN on Client 200

Hi,
as you copied the system, probably there is a missing entry which defines the client in which ChaRM will be active. Check in SPRO below "Change Management->Basic Configuration" the IMG activity "Activate Integration with Change Request Management->Activate Change Request Management and Set-up client". It must have your client 200 specified.

Raquel

  • Project Archive Restore Tab missing

Hi, Since upgrading OWB 9.04 to 9.2.0.2.8 the ability to archive/restore my projects has been enhanced to vaporware.
The help still refers to a tab under project prefs, and the ability to archive restore projects, but alas the feature is gone.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks,
    Richard.

Hi, yes i can use the mdl export, and I saw the intention was to remove project archive in the next version of OWB, but the help and user docs still say its there.
So it makes you think the install is missing something
Not a big deal really, but having upgraded from an earlier version it makes you wonder if something went wrong with the client install.

  • Maintenance Optimizer - Under Change Management in solman_workcenter

    Hello,
If I go to transaction solution_manager and navigate to the Maintenance Optimizer in our solman system, I see dozens of lines of maintenance requests.  Furthermore, I go start a new transaction and I will be shown the appropriate logical components which are assigned to the solution landscape that I chose when entering solution_manager/dswp.
However, when I use solman_workcenter instead (which is the direction that we want to go), and then go to the change management tab, and click on maintenance optimizer, I am not shown any maintenance requests.  Furthermore, when I try to start a new transaction, the logical components are not displayed and I cannot choose the system for which I want to the transaction for.
Am I missing some configuration or setup within SOLMAN_WORKCENTER which is preventing me from being placed into the appropriate Solution Landscape?
    Thank you.

    John,
Looks like this is an authorization issue.
Please check the user has these following roles.

  • Change Management Document not visable in Change Management Workcenter

I am configuring CHARM in my sandbox Solution Manager EHP1 system. I have created a Change Request and assigned it to a Maintenance Cycle. The request has status Authorized and the associated Change Document (Correction) has been created. I have entered the Business Partner number for the Developer in the Current Processor field of the Change Document. When I log on as the Developer, I can see the Change Document when going through CRM_DNO_MONITOR, but the Change Document does not appear on the Change Management tab when I navigate to the Change Management Workcenter. The same problem appears when I assign the current processor to another role such as a Tester.
I have the following roles assigned.
    Developer:
    SAP_CM_DEVELOPER_COMP
    SAP_CM_SMAN_DEVELOPER
    SAP_SMWORK_BASIC
    SAP_SMWORK_CHANGE_MAN
    SAP_SOCM_DEVELOPER
    Tester:
    SAP_CM_SMAN_TESTER
    SAP_CM_TESTER_COMP
    SAP_SMWORK_BASIC
    SAP_SMWORK_CHANGE_MAN
    SAP_SOCM_TESTER
Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be?

Thanks Xavier. Yes, adding SAP_ALL / SAP_NEW enabled the change document to appear in the workcenter.
I was able to track down the authorization to authorization Object CRM Order - Business Transaction Type   (CRM_ORD_PR-PR_TYPE). Just needed to add the Transaction Type for the Change Document and that did the trick.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
    Regards,
    Joe

  • RH7: Project Manager Tab keeps refreshing continuously

I have upgraded my project from RH5 to RH7. There were in all 65 projects (.xpj) files that I upgraded. However, i have this issue with some of the files. When I open the xpj file, the Project Manager tab keeps refreshing. I cant scroll and select the files that are towards the end because the moment I click the scroll bar, the the tab refreshes and I cant click on the file.
Most of the files that I upgraded work fine.
    Please suggest a solution. Thanks.

Have you tried renaming the CPD and reopening RH to make it create a new one?

  • Test Package in Test Management tab of Change Document

    Hi Expert,
When we test on CHARM, we realized that the test package in test management tab can only be
attach before the developer change the status to "Pass normal change to

  • Cargo management tab is missing in Ocean freight booking

    Hi Experts,
I found cargo management tab is missing in Ocean freight booking/ Transportation cockpit, though hierarchy types assigned for the functionality to create drayage orders.
Please suggest if any configuration is missing.
    Thanks,
    Shakti

    Hi Matt,
you can find associations DRAYAGE_TOR (from booking to freight order(s)) and DRAYTOR_BOOK (from freight order to booking) under the ROOT node of business object /SCMTMS/TOR. If you check those in TA /BOBF/CONF_UI, you can also have a look at the corresponding implementing classes - however, there should be no need to do this
Technically, the references are stored on ITEM_TR level, but as determining the correct references can be tricky, I would strongly recommend to use the above mentioned associations in order to get the pre-carriage order (or booking vice versa), instead of trying to determine them on your own from various DB tables - we already implemented the tricky part in the associations, so there is no need for you to worry about that

  • Change Management integration with Project Administration

    Hi,
Could someone help me understand the integration of Change Management and Project Administration within Solution Manager, pls? I would be very grateful for a sample process to demonstrate the complete workflow. Eg.
    1) Support Messages is created
    2) Change Request is created from Support Message
    3) A project is created for the Change Request
    4) ??? What about the blueprint, configuration, testing, learning features? How do they integrate with CHARM?
    x) at the end, how does the project created for the Change Request integrate with the project that documents the business process? I mean, if the actual processes of an R/3 system are documented in a SolMan project, and a Change Request is processed, how do I modify the general project with the change project?
This is absolutely not clear either in the on-line help or in the book "SAP Solution Manager"
    Thanks in advance,

I am not quite clear what exactly is your requirement here. Change Request Management and Project management are different in their ways. You can handle the documenation tasks through your project management and ChaRM is used for the changes.

  • Solution Manager Tab Name Change - is it possible

    Hi
I am new to Slolution manager config. and would like to know if I can change the Tab name of the Solution manager where you have Tabls like Gen.Documentation, Proj. Documentation, Administartion etc.
If we can change the names, then please let me know the cofig. steps.
    Thanks,
    Atul

    Hi Valdecir
    Thanks for the quick response.
We are ready to maintain it but could you please let me know the proess / config to change the tab name.
    Thanks,
    Atul.
    Hi Atul,
It is a matter of translation. As it is standard text if you change them, you will need to maintain the change log as they can revert on the next suppor package or upgrade.

  • Connection lost on Sleep and No power management tab in NIC to change

On a surface pro 3 with Windows 8.1, I lose connections when I lock the computer.  I've tried to go to the NIC adapter to change the power management option to not turn off when locked but there is no "Power Management" tab as with previous
    versions of Windows.
I have multiple machines with this problem and any help will be appreciated.

    Hi RepBill,
    Consider the following scenario:
•You have a system that is an Always On/Always Connected (AOAC) platform.
•The system is running Windows 8.
•You install the July update rollup 2855336 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2855336).
•After the update is installed, you open up Device Manager.
•You open the Wireless Network adapter properties.
In this scenario, you notice that the Power Management tab is no longer available within the advanced driver properties.
This behavior is by design. For Windows 8, update rollup 2855336 implements this change for Wireless adapter miniports on AOAC platforms.
Power Management tab is not visible for some Wireless Network adapters with Always On/Always Connected (AOAC) platforms on Windows 8

  • No 'Change Request' Tab in Solar_Project_Admin

    Hi,
I am trying to implement Change Request Management with SolMan on an  Implementation Project.
    I performed different tasks like:
    - RFC connection creation (client 000 & Other mandant)
    - Logical Component creation
    - Project creation with SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
    - Clients are defined properly
I am not sure about the TMS configuration
My issue is that i do not have the tab 'Change request' under 'System Landscape' in the transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
And i would like to know why this tab is missing ?
I would really appreciate some ideas, advices, please
    thank you

    Hi,
I solved my issue with the missing "Change Request" tab by applying the note 802793.
But, since i performed this action, i faced other issues when trying to create a Task List in the "Change Request" tab:
    - Warning : Probleme occured during synchronization of the system landscape
    Then
    - The project is not released. Hence cycle can not be created
    We checked :
    - RFC connections including Client:000 of all the systems
    - Authorizations on SolMan himself and in Satelites systems
    - I found interesting notes like :Note 883981 - Project consistency check which matched our issue, finally the system (with "snote") told me that it could not be apply)
    - Patch, SP up to date
    We have an error :
    - System cancel RFC destination SM_XX1CLNT000_READ, Call TMW_GET_TARGET_SYSTEMS: Function Module " TMW_GET_TARGET_SYSTEMS not found
    - Communication Error, Check the RFC Destination
For sure, we checked every RFC Connection, everything is Green.
That is the problem, check by check everything seems to be OK, but finally i still have blocking errors. i'm a little bit lost
I think it could be an issue with the Transport Routes....but i'm not an expert.
If anybody could help me please,
    Thanks in advance

  • Change Management. Cannot go to the next phase ... And common questions.

    Hi dear colleagues!
Here there are some unpleasant problems which has arisen during Change Management functions realization...
    1. After approving of Urgent Correction by so-called "Change Manager", "developer" couldn't set it status "in development" -> and begin corrections in DEV system. It outputs in status bar: "NO ACTIONS IN THE WORK LIST".
    2. How should i link some urgent correction (or simply Service Message) to a specific Maintenance Cycle?
The same problem I cannot go to the next phase, system outputs that "No Maintenance Cycle is open for the current system".
    3. And please can u explain in a simple words: Should i always make a maintenance project for using "Change Management" functions?
    4. Can we use "Change Management" for 4.0C (vers. of satellite) systems?
Any help and tips would really appreciate.
    Best regards,
    Vladimir

    Hi,
For configuring change management, you will have to follow the SPRO guidelines for setting up transport routes between satellite systems.
Well i list down the activities that you need to do. Details you can find in SPRO -- > SAP Solution Manager --> Scenario Specific Settings --> Change Request Management --> Standard Configuration --> transport management System
    1) Activate Extended transport control by setting  System Parameter CTC=1 in STMS --> Systems
2)Create Client specific transport route between satellite systems
    3) Ensure that all the systems in the domain have the same transport group.
4)Configure or activate Single transport Strategy in STMS --> Overview --> transport routes.
5)Activate TMS Trusted services in STMS --> Overview --> Systems --> Goto --> transport Domain --> Management Tab page --> Security option group box.
Besides these activities, you will have to execute the SPRO IMG Activity
SAP Solution Manager --> Basic Settings --> SAP Solution Manager System --> Activate Integration with Change Request Management
For activity Intigration Solution Manager make the following entry
    APPL: Change Request Management
    RFC Destination : NONE
For activity Integration Change Request Management
make the entries in table BCOS_CUST as g
    iven in the IMG instruction.
Now in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN you can activate a maintenance project for change management by going to System Landscape --> Project Cycle
Click the check box Activate Change request Management.
(NOTE: The above option comes only in Solution Manager 4.0, for SOLMAN 3.2 you can directly create maintenance cycle in /n/tmwflow/cmsconf --> Distribution Routes --> Project Landscape group box .)
Now you can create a maintenance cycle by clickin on the button Create Task List in project cycle tab page.
Navigate to task list and activate the tasklist (Maintenance Cycle) by clicking on the status button.
Now while creating change request ensure that you are assigning the correct ibase /component of the production system in the satellite system landscape. You have to enter the ibase component of the client of the production system to whcih the client specific transport route has been made. You can find this number in transaction IB52
Hope now u can move on with CHARM.
