QM-Delivery Inspection lot clubbing

Dear Gurus,
Is it possible to club the diiferent deliveris in to one inspection lot.
For example, presently system creates 1 inspection lot per delivery.
If user wants next delivery also linked to previous lot and no need of getting a new lot for the current delivery.
Is it possible.
Pls advice.

Hi Siva,
You can use the Control Inspection lot field within the inspection lot default values to determine when the system must create the inspection lot. Eg for each material document or each purchase order etc
Quality Management -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection lot creation -> Define default values for Inspection Type

    For Quality certificate for Delivery we need to create a certificate profile , forms that is lay out and contents of the certificate
    and we need to assign to material and sales organization or customer
    Thats clear for me, but also we need to define the output type as LQCA and LQCB if it is ship to party or sold to party
    so i belive that when ever delivery Inspection lot UD is done Quality certifiacte is printed according to certificate profile and output type
    i belive that the charactersitics of the inspection lot also printed in the Quality certificate
    system gets the information from certificate profile , in the charecteristic assignement
    just please someone help me that my understanding is correct
    Also i need to know if i want to print Quality certificate for inspection lot how do i set the output type as there is nothing like LQCA,LQCB for inspection lot
    please help me what setting i need to do for printing inspection lot Quality certificate

    is there any standard transcation in sap , is there any customization need to done in functional point of view , or i need to work with abaper to create a new transcation code to upload

  • Multiple results recording for Delivery inspection lot

    Hi Gurus,
    My requirement is to configure for quality results recording for sales delivery document. Where client wants to record Customer, supplier, Umpire, etc results record for inspection characteristics.
    I got response from few Sapiens that I should use Inspection point concept for multiple results recording. Could anyone cna tell me how can I do this.

    Okay!
    First of all letu2019s try to understand whether inspection points are really suitable for your requirement or not. Accordingly further errors can be eliminated. I just try to understand.
    A- Using Inspection Points
    1.     Inspection points are used when you inspect the same parameters again and again.
    2.     When you click on results tab in QA32, system asks you put some identification number. Letu2019s say you put A1 and then press enter. Thereafter you record the actual results (LENGTH, WIDTH etc.) You save this without giving UD.
    3.     For the next time when you again click on results for the same inspection lot, system again asks you to put identification number. This time suppose you put A2. Then again you record the results (LENGTH, WIDTH) for A2.
    4.     Likewise you can retrieve the inspection results from system with respect to inspection point (identification point).
    5.     Typically this can be used for chemical industries where you record the temperature of the same chemical after every ½ an hour. Here 10:00 am, 10:30 am can be used as identifications numbers. As a result of which you can get the information that at 10:00 am temperature was 40 Deg and at 10:30 am it was 75 degree Celsius.
    If your requirement resembles this situation, then only the use of inspection points would be fruitful.
    B- Without Inspection Points
    But if you want to record the readings by various agencies like customer, umpire (refer following pattern)and want to compare them there are other ways.
    1.     Reading by your inspector
    a.     LENGTH u2013 100, 101, 102mm (average is 101mm)
    b.     WIDTH     - 10.50, 10.50, 10.60mm (average is 31.6mm)
    2.     Reading by customer
    a.     LENGTH u2013 100, 101, 102mm (average is 101mm)
    b.     WIDTH     - 10.50, 10.50, 10.60mm (average is 31.6mm)
    3.     Reading by umpire
    a.     LENGTH u2013 100, 101, 102mm (average is 101mm)
    b.     WIDTH     - 10.50, 10.50, 10.60mm (average is 31.6mm)
    You can achieve this without using inspection points also. For this in QP02 you need to create 3 operation; Inspector, Customer and umpire respectively. Feed the MICs in each of these operations. When you click on result tab system will throw pop up for these 3 operations. Double click on Umpire if you want to record results noted by umpire. Likewise for rest of the operations. You can do this even after UD also (after 1-2 months also). You need to use MIC with control indicator as long term characteristics for this in QS23.
    Regarding averaging of results u2013 This can be achieved using single result recording MIC with or without inspection points. Use appropriate sampling procedure. When you feed results in QA32 system automaticaaly averages out the reading. This can be viewable against phi symbol.
    Finally you did mention that u201Chere I am not getting the newly created inspection lotsu201D. Does that mean inspection lot (10 origin) has not created?

  • Automatic Inspection lot not generated for Inspection lot origin 12

    Hi all,
    I am not able to trigger the automatic Inspection lot for General Delivery i.e Inspection lot origin 12.
    The scenario is, I am creating the STO ( Inter company stock transfer) and against the same STO i am creating the delivery but after delivery inspection lot is not generated. In the material master correct inspection type is maintained also the mvt type 641 is active for QM. The inspection lot origin is assigned to the delivery type in the configuration but still i am not able to generate the inspection lot.
    Please let me know i am missing something?

    You are missing 1 Config
    Quality Management
    Quality Inspection > Inspection Lot Processing > Inspection Lot Creation > Inspection at Shipping (Tcode OQL8)
    mantain inspection origen agenist Delivery type u are using.
    also you need to create Sales Info record(QV51)
    I hope all other settings are OK then it should work

  • No Inspection lot for HU managed Material

    Please  Guide Me.
    Scenario :- 1
    For HU Managed Raw Material , If we activate inspection type 01 , and in the parameters if I activate check Box of HU Management.
    The follwoing process happens.
    1. At MIGO - Inbound Delivery is created
    2. And as we do GR against that Delivery - Inspection Lot gets generated.
    But Here we have to do result recording / UD against HU.
    Which Seems to be OK process.
    Scenario :- 2
    If we do not activate HU Management in inspection type 01.
    Then My understanding is that we have to do RR / UD against the Material.
    But In my case here - No Inspection lot is getting generated.At GR it shows that Material of the stock type Q.
    For which we use VLMOVE. We see nothing in QA32.We do not do any  RR/ UD.
    Kindly guide me ... if I have to do any necessary config for the same.

    If the goods are in a handling unit, you have to select the indicator for HU inspection. Else inspection lot is not created.

  • Reverse a Return Delivery with inspection lot posted (QM)

    Hello experts,
    I want to reverse with transaction VL09 a good movement of a return client delivery with inspection lot. I posted the inspection lot and transferred the material to Unrestricted use (transaction QA11).
    Then I began the cancel Return Process and I transferred the material to Quality (movement type 322) to run VL09 with material in Quality stock, but the system displays  the following error message:
    You cannot cancel GR, since inspection lot is already partly posted
    Message no. QA046
    Diagnosis
    You are attempting to reverse a goods receipt although quantity postings have already been made from the inspection lot. This means that stock for the goods receipt has already been transferred and, for this reason, a cancelation of the document is no longer possible.
    Procedure
    Ensure that the postings in QM (within the usage decision transactions) are carried out.
    Please let me know what can I do to reverse the return delivery.

    You are trying to do the process which you ahve already transferred through Transaction QA11.
    The role of Cancel return Process has already been done by this transaction as the Stock has already been into Un- restricted.

  • Inspection lot problem during inbound delivery

    Hi,
    I am facing following issue during inbound delivery.
    I have activated inspection type 01 in material master for a packing material. Created a PO for the material through ME21N. PO created. Now I am creating inbound delivery through VL31N with reference to PO no and vendor. When I am entering the storage location I am getting the below error..
    Upon investigating the issue system is creating the inspection lot
    But inspection lot is not showing in QA32/QA02.
    checked various threads but not of much use. I am not able to proceed further.

    Hi Kumar,
    Plz check in PO history, if GRN is done. If yes then plz check in GRN quantity tab, if inspection lot is created. IN QA32, in dynamic selection enter the inspection lot and click on 'select all inspection lot' and check if it is created in system. If lot is prepared then as per the error message someone from your department must be processing it.
    In Your inbound delivery screen check your tab status overview if it is A: GR not made or C: GR completed.
    Also during inbound delivery  storage location is picked up in inbound delivery automatically from PO you need not to enter it again.
    Plz check else post screen shot of PO history and QA32.

  • Inspection Lot at delivery - include manufacturing date

    Hello,
      We have a requirement where for a Product which is being shipped to the customer the manufacturing date of the product on the delivery needs to be within a particular time frame (say 3 - 6 months). If not this is rejected by the customer.
    This division does not want to use Batch Managment, this would  be an ideal solution. I was wondering wether is there a way this can be done by using inspections lot during outgoing delivery ? I was tryng to research Inspection lots , QM is not my strong forte I am trying to understand this process.
    Any standard or customization suggestions would be welcome.

    "But if you are using make to order (special stock like sales order stock, project stock) you may be able to use material classification to select manufacturing date from material document number "

  • Deleted delivery and inspection lot  tracking

    dear all,
    i have an issue please guide me
    the senario is
    At my client , there is a delivery happening in  vl01n i will pick the required quanity  and  send the lot to the QM  for final doc audit then after the QC is passed it will released from the QM then i will do the Post Goods Issue .
    the problem is here in the client    i have created  a delivery document and i have picked the quantity and  issued for the final doc audit report , during that time the goods which have been picked will be in the Scheduled for delivery .
    Now if the quality check fails for( final doc auidit ( ie for pallletization ) or some nails and packing is not done properaly ) it has to go for rework for the final doc auidit .
    If the quantity is rejected and gone for rework.    i will have to delete the delivery document  and create a fresh delivery doccument .
    because only if i delete the delivery document  what ever the quanity is there in the Scheduled for delivery will be  moved backed to the Bonded store .
    and then only it is possible for the goods to be picked and send for QC and after QC pass  PGI will be done
    My problem is  is there any connection can be done from the deleted delivery document and the fresh delivery document
    so that
    i can able to track the inspection lot  generated in the both the deliveries   i.e ( the deleted one and the fresh delivery document for which the PGI is done )
    Based on this i can create a  zreport for the QCheck  , becasue the client wants to  have  a link between the inspection lots generated between the two delivery documents and based on that they wanted to track the inspection lot

    regarding  the link between two  delivery documents , as you are deleting the delivery the delivery document  is not there in any table so you wont get the link even in the document flow table. or delivery table .
    So its not feasible to generate link.
    I would suggest a different approach ,pl investigate more before you go ahead,
    You can have   seperate storage locations one with internal QC ,Other FG store and third final dispatch or BSR store.
    When material is transferred from production to quallity store a inspection lot is generated .once it is cleared QM will have stocks in FG store .Materials in FG store should be availble for final audit and only material which is approved in all respects in transferred to BSR store from where it is immediately dispatched. so QM and other departments can always access the stock in QM for internal inspection , rework an dfinal dispatch through store location instead of delivery tracking.

    Our client's requirement is whenever the delivery is cancelled with movement type 602 the inspection lot should be created and the material should be placed in the quality inspection stock.
    We have activated inspection type 06 in QM view.
    How to achieve this?

    Instead of activating 06( not stock relevant ), activate 05(stock relevant) inspection type & In cutomizing " Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type" - 602 QM should be active.

  • How to link a Delivery to an Inspection Lot a posteriori?

    Hello,
    we need to created Inspection Lots and make the analysis before the delivery. Thus we use Inspection Type Origin '89'.
    Afterwards, however, we would like to update the Inspection Lot and link it to the actual delivery. This would help in the reporting for example.
    Do you now how we could do that?

    Thanks but it does not fit our process.
    Here are more details:
    We create a sales order
    The sales order is sent to an external shipping system
    The truck driver check-in in the external shipping system
    A sample of the load is sent to the lab for analysis
    The analysis is carried out and gives its visa
    The truck driver can check-out in the shipping system and leaves
    The shipping is sent to SAP and a delivery is created
    The lab manager, at the end of the day would like to assign the delivery number to the inspection lot.
    This would help in administring/reviewing the inspection lot status, etc.
    Do some useful reporting with the actual quantities, truck id, etc.

  • Inspection lot not getting generated during SD delivery

    Hi QM experts,
    I am working on QM in SD function. I activated inspection type 10 in the material master in QM view as shown below.
    I created a QM info record SD through QV51 for the combination of customer and Sales organization and assigned the material and quality inspection as before delivery as shown below.
    Now I created a sales order for the material with sales organization and when I making the delivery system is allowing delivery and no inspection lot is generated and delivery is also not stopped. am i missing something..can u please guide..

    You have activated 10 and 11 both , any specific reason ?
    If you activated 10, then system will allowed you delivery check QM customization---> During Shipping. have you assigned inspection type against Delivery type in customization ?

  • Inspection Lot created before Post Goods Recept of Inbound Delivery

    Does anyone have experience of an inspection lot being created before a Post Goods Receipt is performed for an Inbound Delivery. This is preventing me from receipting the stock as
    1. When you try to post goods receipt, I receive a warning that the stock can only be moved in QM only
    2. When I try to apply a UD in the inspection lot and post the stock, the stock cannot post as the Handling Units are linked to the Inbound delivery

    Please clarify whether you want to modify th efield at item or header. Please check the Badi names Starting with LE_SHP* .These BADI' are for Delivery.find the Suitable BADI and Apply it. For custom tab at header BADI is  LE_SHP_TAB_CUST_ITEM

    The BADI does not allow the update of data. There is a common trick used to perform the job ...
    - in the BADI, export the data to memory (e.g. in TRANSFER_DATA_FROM_SUBSCREEN)
    - in the old-fashion exit like USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELDS_TO_LIPS, import the data and map it.

  • Inspection lot not getting cancelled after the inbound delivery is created

    Hello,
    The scenraio is like this.
    1. Material was procured in plant A.
    2. Using the stock transfer purchase order, transferred the material from Plant A to Plant B.
    3. Outbound delivery was created, Handling units were assigned and Post Goods issue was done.
    4. As soon as this was done, inbound delivery got created automatically in plant B and Handling units were assigned.
    5. Inspection lot was created with origin "08".
    6. Now I want to reverse all the transactions, so I did as mentioned below.
    7. Handling units were deassigned from the inbound delivery and inbound delivery was successfully deleted.
    8. Now tried to do the reverse post goods issue and got the error "Handling unit XXXXXX cannot be reversed"..Goods movement cannot be reversed for handling unit XXXXX because it has been changed or assigned to object since the last goods movement posting".
    The issue is that as soon as the inbound delivery is deleted, the inspection lot status should change, which has not changed. So kindly let me know how to make the system cancel the inspection lot as soon as the deassignment of handling units is done in inbound delivery or the inbound delievry is deleted.
