Reassign of components in planned order

Hi,
Client wants to change the components assigned to one operation to the other operation in a planned order.I didnot find any thing such in standard process. Please help me out . Is any thing i can do to do it.
Good answers are rewarded.
Kalyan

Hi ,
Dont write unnecessery comments If u dont know the requirement of client.
It is how the client wants bcoz he keeps the planned order one month before he converts to production order .
In standard i am unabel to find the components assigned to operation in planned order.
I know that in production order we can reassign it. I too didnt able to find it in anywhere in planned order. But i may be wrong right and no one knows everything in SAP.

  • Rounding components in planned orders

Looking for a solution for this issue:
We produce semifinished goods which can be components for several finished goods. The semis are produced in case quantities, and are only handled in case quantities. The BOMs for the finished goods are set up in each.
Since MRP adds up all the requirements coming from finished goods BOMs first, we run into shortages all the time.
For example, say our semifinished good is produce in case quantities of 200 (which, again, can not be split up).
Now we have the following FG requiring the following quantities:
    A - 2500
    B - 1300
    C - 700
So MRP adds them up to 4500, adds 100 to tell us to produce 23 cases.
We do that, and now distribute them to the various FG. A gets 13 cases, B gets 7 cases, and C needs 4 but OMG only 3 are left!
There must be a way to fix that one, so we get exactly the number of cases that we need. Is there a way to configure BOMs or planned orders to round up to full case quantities for their components?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks again for your replies.
Well in that case, maybe you would have to re-look at the way your BOM is structured. Keep the qty in multiples of the lot size, thereby preventing a rounding off at each requirement. As even the lot size EX totals up the day's requirement in MTS scenario.
I played around with that, and could not get it to work. I set up the BOM with the production unit (tray) and increased the base quantity accordingly. However, the finished goods don't appear as multiples of plug tray quantities, so in the end it doesn't matter how I set up the BOM. I can not affect the FG quantities, they are rounded according to their own case size.
The other alternative which i can think off is to use user-exit during MRP run, but that would not be advisable as your MRP run will become very very complex then.
Yeah, I don't want to go there. I wish this whole MRP thing would be a bit more flexible, and better accommodate some of the requirements for perishables.

  • BAPI to change components data of planned orders?

    Hi,
Currently we are using BDC to change components at planned orders.
Due to big data volume, we have performance issue now. Just checked
if there is any BAPI to replace BDC. But can't find proper one. Anyone has
any expeerience about changing components at planned order?
    Thanks.

  • PP - Phantom Assembly Alt Item in BOM not loaded in Planned Order

    Hi all,
I have a scenario where in my finished product, I have several components organized in Alternate Group, and for each group, I define a component as Prime (100% usage) and others as Alternate (0% utilization). Among these there are some components that are configured as Phantom (Special Procurement 50), and these Phantom items, when they are Alternate in the BOM, ie, 0% Probability of Use in Alternate Item Group, it is not loaded in the list of components in Planned Order. Only the Phantom that is as Prime in BOM is showed in the Planned Order, together with their subcomponents.
The other components that are not phantom, usually appear within the Planned Order, those that have 100% utilization, and those who have 0% utilization set in the BOM. Obviously, all requirement is pointed in the Prime Item, but I can change according to availability of material in MDVP or manually in CO02.
When the Production Order is created directly by CO01, without conversion of planned order, the list of components typically brings all the Phantoms, independently of the Probability Use %.
Someone tell me if there is some kind of configuration to allow the Phantoms Optional also be uploaded to the component list of planned orders without having to change the percentage of use in BOM.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello MCantos,
When you have maintained the usage probability as 0% for a alternative component, that means you do not want that partular material to be planned further. In short this is just an Engineering Relevant Material (is not required in Production activity).
When this alternate material with usage probability 0% is phantom material, you want its components to be proposed. But you yourself have answered that this phantom material has usage probability 0% and this means it is not required in Production and thus its components as well are not required. Thus system is not exploding the BOM and proposing the material at the time of Production activity.
Hope I answered your query. Please check your usage probability for phantom assembly part and if required correct the same so that you can achive what you want.
    Thanks,
    Rahul.

  • Order Processing - Capacity and ATP check with planned order

    Dear all,
is it possible to block the creation of a sale order based with PP strategy 81 (or similar) if missing components for planned order are given?
Is also possible to block the creation of a sale order with PP strategy 81 (or similar) if no alllowable capacity for planned order is given in the scheduled dates?

    Luca,
is it possible to block the creation of a sale order based with PP strategy 81 (or similar) if missing components for planned order are given?
Not in Standard SAP ERP.  You can block confirmation in 81 or 82.
Is also possible to block the creation of a sale order with PP strategy 81 (or similar) if no allowable capacity for planned order is given in the scheduled dates?
Not in standard SAP ERP.  It is possible to generate a notification popup during the capacity check.
The functionalities you seek exist in APO using either CTP or MATP

  • How to change the components of the planned order? (FM or BAPI)

I need to change the storage(LGORT) in the components.
I found only MD_PLDORD_CHANGE_COMP_ITEMS, but could not get the correct result.
Has anyone used this FM to change the components of the planned order?
Can you please tell how to use it. Or advise an alternative solution.

    Hi Anton,
There's a BAPI to change planned orders - BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_CHANGE, but it allows to change only header data.
Therefore you'll have to go a bit longer, and use a couple of other BAPIs:
First read the order that you want to change - BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_GET_DETAIL
Second, create a new planned order with the changed data, based on the read planned order - BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_CREATE.
Third, delete the old planned order - BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_DELETE.

  • Planned Order Components Table

I have a question. Is there a table that holds the components of a Planned Order?
When I see the technical data of a component field in MD13 it tells me they are in MDPM, but this is a structure, not a table.
that made me think that perhaps this is being fed directly from the BOM. But when I make a change to the BOM, the components in the planned order are not automatically updated.
So they must be stored somewhere. Anyone knows which table it is?
Otherwise, what FM can I use to fetch them?

    Fernando,
You can get the components list of a planned order in RESB table for field PLNUM = Planned order number and BDART = SB.

  • A Query for shortfall quantitiy of components in a Planned Order

    Hello,
I'm trying to create a query to report committed quantity, required quantity and shortfall quantity of components for a planned order related to a WBS.
When I run MDVP for a specific planned order I see values in FLMNG field.
But when I check the reservation of that planned order in RESB table FLMNG table is empty while other fields for required quantity and committed quantity are filled.
So I ran ST05 for MDVP and figured out that system is using a table called RESVDB( I cannot remember the exact table name) but result the is same.
Does system fill the FLMNG field only in the structure of MDVP with substraction of committed and required quantities and never updates it in reservation tables? If it does update tables where can I find this field?
And also, to get the same result with MDVP, is using these fields in RESVDB the right way?
    Thanks,
    Arda

    Hello Arda
The system design is explained on the following note:
423538 - MDVP: Missing part list in collective availability check
The following information is provided on this note:
For dependent requirements of a planned order, the system generally updates no
missing part indicators using the availability check in the corresponding
dependent requirements record of table RESB. SAP does not plan to implement
changes in the system design of the R/3 standard system that allow processing
the missing part indicator from the availability check.

  • Reg. Mass update of Planned order components

    HI all,
I have a requirement wherein I will come to know the raw material consumption from storage location only at the time of production.
Now what I am doing is before doing confirmation I am updating the storage location for particular component in the planned order change mode - md12.I am doing this because the  production confirmation is happening at External system and transferred via IDOC to SAP.So I cant add the sloc at that time.
I am doing the changes to planned order one by one. On an average I am doing this for say 50 Planned orders which is time consuming
Is there any option available in SAP to do mass change to the planned order components.
    Regards,
    MBN.

    Hi MBN,
You can use the LSMW, BDC program or FM MD_PLDORD_CHANGE_COMP_ITEMS to update the storage location in planned order components.

  • Components vanish after planned order in is converted into production order

    Dear SAP gurus,
please advise how to sort out the problem.
After update of BOM component in R/3 (usually change of the scrap factor) we observe that the component disappears after planned order conversion to production order.
Please advice how to track where exactly this happens.
Unfortunatelly it does not happen for all orders, some of the orders lose the component, others do not.
I desperately need a way to track or debug the order during conversion and CIF-ing from APO to R/3.
As far as I know there is an user exit I could activate to force BOM explosion at conversion, but would be interested to find the reason.
Your help and advise will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    BR
    Ivan

    Hi Ivan,
In R/3 CFC2 give user name of on which the SNP planned orders are generated, RFC mode "Q", Logging "D" Debug "R".
Then generate the Planned orders and flow them to R/3.
Go to SMQ2 in R/3 and debug. But it will stop all the queues whichever generated on that user name.
If you want to Debug the Production order whch is flowing from R/3 to APO, then Maintain the same parameters in APo at /SAPAPO/C4.
I hope this will help you..

  • Change Planned order components

When we change a component in a planned order that is different from the manufacturing BOM, is there a way to distinguish what component was changed.

    Hi Ramesh,
There is no transaction available to compare Production Order component list to BOM Component list. You need to create a Z report for yourself.
If it is just comparing 2 BOM's then you can use transaction CS14.
    Hope this helps...

  • Production order and planned order qty should not consider in MRP

    Dear All,
i do not want to consider the previous month production order qty and plenned order qty (Nothing but WIP qty) in the current momth MRP, but the stock has to consider in MRP.
    Example,
    Before MRP,
    material : XYZ
    Stock : 1000
    Prod Qty : 500 for 02.04.2008
    PIR Qty : 2000 for 02.05.2008
After MRP, the requirement should be as below said,
    material : XYZ
    Stock : 1000
    Prod Qty : 500 for 02.04.2008
    PIR Qty : 2000 for 02.05.2008
    Pld OrdQty : 1000 for 02.05.2008
For the above requirement ,i have done settings in the availabilty check like , for include planned order and include production order are "DO NOT TAKE IN ACCOUNT".
Even then also the planned order qty is generating for the "500" only.
please give the solution for the above said requirement.
    thanx in advance
    Regards
    Srinivas

    hi
MRP will always consider the prod order qty while doing nert req calculation. One thing u can do is TECo the prod orders and un MRP then it wont consider prod order qty.
The Availability check will check whether the components r avalaible or not based on ur scope of check

  • Error while creating manual planned order in apo

    Dear expert
While I am creating manual planned order i am getting error as message /sapapo/rrp251
Every thing is correct BOM and PV's no error after consistency check and it getting succesfully transffered to APO and it is also visible in APO
But while creating manual planned orders planned order are not getting generated  I am using BLock planning with PPDS
Please help How to resolve it
    Regards
    Virender

    Hi
The error message /SAPAPO/RRP251 - Error occurred while creating order means While creating an order, the system encountered problems, such as, for example, no available components or components that are available late, orders that could not be scheduled, and so on.
I think system attempted to solve the availability problems by using alternative procurement options. This was not successful. The order could not be created. Check the exceptional situations in the planning protocol, under Goto -> Planning log, and deal with the causes of the exceptional situations if this is possible or necessary.
    Thanks

  • User exit in planned Orders

    Hello all.
I have been search for a user exit in planned orders that allow me to define some code in it to triger some changes. this user exit should be at time of planned order is saved.
I have already search in this forum and I found out how to find the user exits by transaction. I have tried for transaction MD12 but did not found any suitable user exit.
Does any one know any user exit that could make my life easiser
    thanks
    Manuel Antonio

You can try the following BAdIs:
You can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) MD_PLDORD_CHANGE to change, before posting, data from planned orders, which have been created, changed, or deleted as a result of planning a material or manual processing.
The Business Add-In allows you to fill and change fields from planned orders in the PLAF table. It also supports filling of customer-specific fields in the customer include CI_PLAFDB.
You can execute the Business Add-In in the planning run in the following areas:
    Material requirements planning
    Master production planning
    Long-term planning
You can also carry out the Business Add-In in all applications, which execute manual planned order changes. Examples of this kind of application are:
The dialog transactions for creating and changing planned orders (MD11, MD12, MS11, MS12)
The Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPI) for creating and changing planned orders
all applications that explicitly or implicitly create or change planned orders, for example the planning table of repetitive manufacturing, repetitive manufacturing confirmation, capacity planning, assembly order processing and so on.
    Requirements
When planning a material or manually processing a planned order, you must change individual fields in the planned order or provide entries for customer-specific enhancements of the planned order structure.
    Standard settings
The Business Add-In is not active in the standard.
The Business Add-In cannot be used multiple times.
The Business Add-In is not filter dependent.
    Activities
To activate the Business Add-In, you must create an active implementation. To do this, choose the following path in the SAP Menu: Tools -> ABAP Workbench -> Utilities -> Business Add-Ins -> Implementation
For more information about this procedure, see the SAP Library under
Basis Components -> ABAP Workbench -> Changing the SAP Standard -> Business Add-Ins -> Implementing Business Add-Ins.

Documentation on the BAdI method CHANGE_BEFORE_SAVE_MAN
You can also call the documentation on the BAdI method via the menu, by carrying out the following steps:
    1. Choose the tab page Interface.
    2. Double-click on the relevant method.
    3. Click on the right mouse button and choose Component documentation.
    Update Planned Orders (MD_PLDORD_POST)
    Use
    Application components:  PP-MRP, PP-MP-MPS, PP-MP-LTP, PP-REM
    Function group: M61P, M61U
You can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) MD_PLDORD_POST to further process data from planned orders, which have been created, changed or deleted through the planning of a material or as a result of manual processing.
The Business Add-In allows you to publish the created and changed data from planned orders and can be used to update customer-specific tables or to connect to information systems and workflows.
You cannot use the methods of the Business Add-In to change the planned orders themselves. The planned orders are always posted in the communicated form.
You can execute the Business Add-In in the planning run of the following areas:
    Material requirements planning (PP-MRP)
    Master production planning (PP-MP-MPS)
    Long-term planning (PP-MP-LTP)
You can also execute the Business Add-In in all applications, which carry out manual planned order changes, for example:
The dialog transactions for creating and changing planned orders (MD11, MD12, MS11, MS12)
The Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPI) for creating and changing planned orders ( PlannedOrder Create, PlannedOrder Change)
All applications that explicitly or implicitly create and change planned orders, for example the planning table of repetitive manufacturing, repetitive manufacturing confirmation, capacity planning, assembly order processing, and so on.
    Standard settings
The Business Add-In is not active in the standard.

For more information about this procedure, see the SAP Library under
Basis Components -> ABAP Workbench -> Changing the SAP Standard -> Business Add-Ins -> Implementing Business Add-Ins.
Note that the Business Add-In can be used multiple times and therefore all active implementations are called and run through.
    Example
The following is a possible use for the methods of this Business Add-In:
When planning a material or manually processing planned orders, you want to log the changes made to the planned orders or the triggered subsequent functions.
The subsequent processing of certain planned orders or individual data from the planned orders occurs in an external planning system. In this case, you can log the corresponding changes to these planned orders in a user-defined table during planning. Using a separate report, you can select the data from the log table and process it further.
