Regarding document type in accounting

when we release billing document to accounting , what is  the document type which is 1st created in accounting...

Hi
When the billing document is released to FI, no documents are created - only posting of values takes places.
But when the Billing document is created the following accounting documents will be generated...
1. Accounting document
2. Profit centre document
3. Controlling document
4. Special purpose ledger
5. Profitability analysis

    Hello,
    SD invoice document types and FI document types doesn't depend to company code. You can not set different FI document type for each company code with using standart customizing. But you can use FI substitution or SD-FI integration exit, or business transaction event exits for this case. If you want detail, I'll give you some examples how can you change FI doc types while posting to FI.

  • Assignment of billing document type with accounting document type

    Hi
    I need one information regarding SD Billing Document type assignment with accounting document types.
       Here CRM people asking me where we can see if the Billing doc type is BV( Cash Sale)  accounting document should be RV
    Just go to T.Code VOFA for Billing document types. Based on this only system generate the Accouning documents RV, AB so onu2026u2026.
    But how it is determining this accouning document type they want to know.
    Pls advice

    In VOFA where it says Document type enter the FI doc type they want to post to. Otherwise it defaults to RV.

  • Purchase Order Document Type and Account Assignment

    Hi  ,
    We have a requirement to control Account Assignment in Purchase Order Item line based on the Document type selected on the Purchase Order header.
    Like if user selects Purchase Order document type "ZNB" (Customized created) , then he will only able to select "K" or Blank or "P" as account assignment and similary we want to limit other Account assignments based on the Purchase Document type.
    How can we make this Control settings?

    Hi,
    You can't really limit the account assignment categories per document type, at least not directly.
    You can limit the item categories that can be used for a document type via configuration:
    Materials Management > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Define Document Types
    Within this transaction you can define which item categories are valid for a specific document type.
    You can then define which account assignment categories are valid for each item category
    Materials Management > Purchasing > Account Assignment > Define Combination of Item Categories/Account Assignment Categories
    BUT
    limiting the account assignment categories that are valid for an item category will affect ALL purchase order document types that this item category is valid for. And you can't create your own item categories as this is a SAP standard table that can NOT be altered.

  • Query regarding document type

    This is a basic part of FI
    The Document flow in SAP-FI is categorized by the document types attached to them. All this document types differentiates the document flow, i.e. from where the accounting document was generated form SD, MM, FI etc. What SAP does is that for each Document types or rather groups of document types the data goes into four tables 1) Header table BKPF, contains the document type attached to the Document number
    2) The Document table ( the table name starts generally with BS*) that is actually contains document number and its transactional details (debit amount and credit amount) for e.g. BSID and BSAD which contains the Sales order open and clear items
    4) The Cluster table BSEG which contains the transactional amount of all the tables taken together, so it means that where ever the amount has come from it will go into the BSEG table and the transparent attached to it.
    So what the program will do is:
    1)     You will have a selection screen that will have a parameter entry for the Document type.
    2)     Select all the table names from DD02L table where TABNAME = BS* and TABCLASS = TRANSP
    3)     Think of the logic of how to connect the Document types to the BS* transparent table……….

    using document types u can fetch the revelant document numbers from the header table BKPF.using the fetched document numbers u can fetch the necessary data from the line item tables (BS*).

    I have many document types for credit notes in SD. When the accounting document is created they have the same doc type DG. Our requirement is to have different FI document type for each of the SD document type.
    Where is the config to link this. Please help

(f.16) it is calculating perfect and posting also perfect using TC FB01 when i run batch input session but the deflaut values i.e.. doument type is assigned DA but now the client want to change the document type from DA to DG.   • Document type AB needs to be changed

    Hello everybody,
    I have a question regarding document type. The document type AB is made by default for the transaction like f-30, FB1D and many others. I have a request that for the transaction FB1D on specific accounts on clearing a down payment with the invoice the document type to be other than AB precisely AV. Does anyone now a method to do this?

    I am working on a project where i have to implement SAP PS in 3 Company codes.
    I have a requirement that Different number ranges should be used in different codes for creating PRs.
    In OPTT,order category 20 is used with NB,here i can change 1 Document type.Is it possible in std SAP to create different Order cat for 20 and then we can link diff document types for diff order cat of type 20.

    The assignment of the PR document type in Account assignment is only one is possible you cant assign multiple document type here.
    The Automatic PR raised from the PS is only one assignment is possible,so you can inform your MM consultant to create the seperate document type say ex ZNB-- PR for the Project which is common for all the three company code & assign this with the PR assignment in account assignmet filed.

    The system does not check the authorization for document types that are not assigned an authorization group.
    Procedure
    In Customizing for Financial Accounting, carry out the activity Maintain Enter an authorization group in the document type. You then assign autho For each document type, you can specify whether users are required to enter.
    The same for check of the authorizations of gl accounts.
    PLease check in OMR4 and in OBA7 that for the document types the athorizations groups are maintained.
    F_BKPF_BLA Accounting Document: Authorization for Document Type
    F_BKPF_BES Accounting Document: Account Authorization for G/L Account.
    For example:
    The transaction FB01 includes the above objects - you can see this in Trx. SU24, also as transaction F-02 is a parameter transaction with the original being FB01 these objects would be valid for F-02 also.

    I would like to change the document type for excise invoice generated at the time of J1IIN. At present system is generating document type SA. I want to maintain different number range for these documents instead of SA document number. So I would like maintain different document type for these document.

Document type RV is assigned to billing document type in VOFA. But how I can check the document type for Excise invoice?

    Provide following information to your technical team and they should be able to help you out.
    1. The structure for Process receivable screen is FDM_COLL_INVOICE_ALV.
    2. Document type filed is BKPF-BLART.
    3. Reference fields is BSEG-KIDNO.
    They should be able to do it.
