Removing a job - user_jobs x user_objects

Hi everyone,
I have a doubt about removing a job. Using a script, I removed (almost) all objects of the database. But, querying the user_objects I found one register where the object_type column value is JOB, and in the user_jobs doesn't have any register.
The questions are: 1) Why the table user_objects is not empty? 2) How can I actually remove this job from the database?
Very thanks in advance.

Answering my own question:
1) The JOB is in the user_objects table because it was still scheduled (user_scheduler_jobs), so even when it is removed from user_jobs it still exists in user_objects.
2) To remove --> exec DBMS_SCHEDULER.DROP_JOB('JOB_NAME');
Thanks.

  • Trouble removing disabled jobs from oracle scheduler.

    Hi,
When I run the query :-
    select job_name,job_subname,program_name,enabled,auto_drop,state
    from all_SCHEDULER_JOBS
    where enabled = 'FALSE'
    and state = 'RUNNING'
I get the following results :-
    job_name     job_subname     program_name     enabled     auto_drop     state
    DAILY_LOAD     STEP30     EQUIP_STATUS_EXECUTE_SCRIPT     FALSE     TRUE     RUNNING
    WEEKLY_CHAIN_IMMEDIATE_JOB     STEP30_1     MONITOR_EXECUTE_SCRIPT     FALSE     TRUE     RUNNING
There are no entries on the 'ALL_SCHEDULER_RUNNING_CHAINS' table for these jobs.
How can I remove these jobs that are not disabled but have a state of 'running'.

    Hi DomBrooks,
    When I try :-
    begin
    dbms_scheduler.stop_job(
    'WEEKLY_CHAIN_IMMEDIATE_JOB',
    TRUE
    end;
    I get :-
    ORA-27475: "XXXXX.WEEKLY_CHAIN_IMMEDIATE_JOB" must be a job
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_ISCHED", line 164
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SCHEDULER", line 483
    ORA-06512: at line 2
I get the same when I try :-
    BEGIN
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.DROP_JOB (
    job_name => 'WEEKLY_CHAIN_IMMEDIATE_JOB');
    END;
    When I try :-
    select job, log_user, what from user_jobs;
    I get no rows returned.
From what I can tell it seems the oracle scheduler does not think the job exist even though it shows up as 'disabled' in the all_scheduler_jobs query.
I am wondering if a db recycle might fix the problem or if you have any other ideas?
    I really appreciate your help.

  • Remove eprint job with HP Connected

    Hello,
I'm really disappointed. I have launched a job with google cloud print by error (around 200 pages of a document).
I just want to remove this job in ePrintCenter.
ePrintCenter redirect me to HP Connected new website but I don't see in the UI any page to remove jobs.
How can I remove an ePrint job with the new HP Connect website ?
Thx in advance for your help
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Hi xblaster. The new HPConnected site has print jobs managed in the “Collections" tab. Before you can make use of it, you will receive an email from HPConnected asking you to confirm your email (orange button). This authorizes you to delete and reprint jobs. If the job is still stuck in the queue, you will have to wait until the job reports ‘failed’ before being able to actually remove it.
    I hope this helps.

  • How to remove scheduled jobs from Control Center?

    Hi,
My control center shows a bunch of jobs in the "scheduled" tab that no longer exist.
They do not exist in Control Center and they also do not exist in the Design Center anymore.
Is there a way I can delete entries from the list of schedule jobs?
    I am on OWB 10gR2
    Thanks,
    Sam
PS, I saw this thread that talks about my problem. However the solution provided seems to only work if the jobs still exist

  • How tto remove the jobs?

    Hi all,
hope somebody has already faces and given suggestions in this issue.
anyway i want u people co-operate with me in this issue.
y'day one of my friend has faced some problem in dba_jobs (i.e)
he has scheduled one job thru dba_jobs very long back.
for every ten mins it needs to be scheduled like that.
when he checked the same on y'day evng at 17.40 it shows job is going til 18.30 then he thought to kill that job but couldn't. so he tried to broke that job and then tried the same but the same prev.result only came. in the meanwhile there were several locks created in his database. then atlast he has set job_queue_process=0; and then remove that job and rescheduled the job is working fine till now. but the things is his seniors wants the root cause of the failure jobs and also in alert it shows that the job_queue_process=0 parameters. so he dont know what to do and how to proceed pls guide ?
what all are things to be check if the jobs is getting failure?
how to remove that job without giving trouble to database and changing the job_queue_process?
    pls suggest ..
and compare the dbs_jobs with dbms_scheduler which one is best ?

    Hi Balamulari
The following are the steps I follow to kill a job.
    1.First make the job broken
    SQL>exec dbms_job.broken(JobID,true);
    2. See if the job is running
    SQL>select * from dba_jobs_running where job='JobID';
    3. If the job is running you can wait till the job gets completed or if you want to kill the job then find the job's SID and serial#
    SQL>select sid from dba_jobs_running where job='JobID';
    SQL>select serial# from v$session where sid=' XXX';
    SQL>alter system kill session 'sid,serial#';
If the job does not disappaer from the queue then find the OS SPID and kill it ( kill -9 <SPID>)
    cheers

  • Remove Reschedule jobs from Developer Reports Sever 6i

    Dear All,
Please guide me how i can remove reschedule jobs from Developer Reports 6i
    Regards
    USMAN ALI

Install Forms in one directory (You can have reports in the same
    directory).
Install oracle DB in another directory.
Don't change any file and reboot.
The listener will start automatically as a service.
(If not from a command line write "lsnrctl start" to start it).
To connect from forms/report to the DB you need to activate the
sqlnet easy config tool from the directory where forms is.
Follow the wizard to define an entry in the tnsnames.ora file
    automatically.
Then you can use your forms with the DB.
(IF you get problems it usually helps to let us know the error
code you get so we can direct you in the correct direction).

  • Officejet Pro 8600 - Can't remove canceled job from print queue

    Hi there
I canceled a print job from the print queue, but it refuses to budge! Everytime I try to remove it, I get this message:
I can print other documents, but it's very irritating having this here all the time (and a big red blob on my dock icon announcing a phantom print job).
Can anyone help me rid myself of this spectre of print purgatory?
    Cheers!

Try downloading and running the HP Print and Scan doctor. This software is able to remove phantom print jobs for you automatically. The program can be downloaded from here.
As well, for Windows based computers, restarting the computer can also help with this issue oftentimes. Hope this helps.

  • Jobs are frozen as "Canceling" in Active queue.  How do I remove those jobs?

I have 3 jobs for the same vidoe stuck in my Compressor queue.  I've tried:
    1. Canceling the jobs individually,
    2. Reseting the queue (both cancelling all jobs AND restarting them),
    3. Tried moving the Compressor and Qmaster folders into the trash (Users-->Shared-->Library-->Application Support)
    4. Tried restarting Compressor AND my Mac MULTIPLE times.
    5. Tried trashing preferences for FCPX and Compressor through the Preference Manager app
I've resorted to "sharing" my videos to a ProRes file and converting them via Adobe Media Encoder CS6 to the proper formats. A LONG workaround.
I love using Compressor when it works but it currently does NOT.
    What else can I do?

There is probably a message in ~/Library/Logs/Compressor/jobcontroller*log saying there is a problem, but without looking I would:
    Turn off sharing
    Close Compressor
    Remove /Users/YOURNAME/Library/Application Support/Compressor/exports
    Restart
Otherwise, look in the log and post it here.  Its either that exports file or the mount point.

  • Hoiw to remove print job from queue?

How can I remove a "print job" from the queue.  Selecting "cancel all printing jobs" will not remove it.  It says it is deleting, it is not doing anything.   Help please.    As long as this job is showing the printer will not print anything else.

    Hi Betty,
    Welcome to the HP Forum.
The job queue may be stuck.
    Switch off the printer
IF you are running a notebook, first do this:
Create a Restore Point:   Create a Restore Point – Win7  OR  Create a restore point Win8
Close all your programs and Shut down the computer
Disconnect everything (little Unifier for the keyboard / external mouse can stay)
Perform the Hard Reset for your notebook model
Boot the computer and log in
    OR
If you are not running a notebook, just
Create a Restore Point:   Create a Restore Point – Win7  OR  Create a restore point Win8
    stop all your running programs,
    shut down completely
Boot the computer and log in
Switch on the printer and wait until it is all back up and running.
That probably won't fix the queue, but it will clear the rest of the cobwebs.
    Next, try this:
    Control Panel> icon view > Administrative Tools> Services>
Click on Name to sort the column alphabetically >
Scroll down and look for Print spooler> Highlight Print Spooler>
    Click Restart the service

    Hi,
the first remove sheduled records from target database via deployment with Deploy Action = Drop.
Then clear (unset) configuration property Referred Calendar on mapping/processflow (corresponding to scheduled job) - click on checkbos None.
Usually job has name in format <object name>_JOB (where <object name> - name of scheduled mapping or processflow)

  • Print Queue will not remove print jobs

I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. I have a Printer HP LaserJet P4015n set up as a network printer thru DNS.  The printer is working fine all print job will come
out. Each time I send a print job to stays in the queue with the Status "Sent to printer". If I send another print job to the printer it will print out however the job will stay in the queue. I have added the printer to a user’s machine and they were
able to see all the print jobs in the queue. I have stops and started the spool however it does nothing. I have already reinstalled the printer but it has done nothing to help.
After about 5 - 10min of the jobs are sitting the in the queue they delete themselves.
Does anyone know of anything I can do about this?

    Hi,
    Thanks for the post.
Here is something I need to confirm:
    1. Does this issue occur with other network printers?
    2. Does this issue occur when printing a text file?
If this issue just occurs with HP LaserJet P4015n, it is caused by the specific printer driver.
Now please perform the following steps to troubleshoot this issue.
    Clear spool file
    1. Stop the spooler by doing the following:
    a. Click Start , Settings , Control Panel , Administrative Tools , then Services .
    b. Scroll down the list of services for the Print Spooler.
    c. Right click Print Spooler and click Stop .
    2. Delete the spool files
    a. Open My Computer.
    b. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ .
    c. Delete all of the files inside of this folder.
    3. Restart the spooler.
    a. Click Start , Settings , Control Panel , Administrative Tools , then Services
    b. Scroll down the list of services for the Print Spooler.
    c. Right click the Print Spooler and click Start.
    Change the spooling format
Set the spooling format to RAW, and then try to print directly to the printer instead of spooling the print job. To do this:
              a.       Click "Start", point to "Settings", and then click "Printers".
              b.       Right-click the printer that you are using, and then click "Properties".
              c.       In the Advanced tab, click "Print Processor".
              d.       Set the default "Data type" to "RAW" for both "WinPrint" and "ModPrint".
              f.        Click "OK", click "OK" again, and then close the Printers dialog box.
    Does it work?
    Hope this helps.

  • SQL maintenance plan job problem - cannot remove a job

    Hi,
I have a SQL 2008 R2 server running SP2. I changed the start time  to hour A on a maintenance job under maintenance plan, a few weeks later I changed it back (hour B). The maintenance job still runs at the changed start time (hour A). I even completly
deleted the job, and I do not see that job under SQL maintenance plan and agent job anymore.  But somehow SQL still tries to start the job at the changed time (hour A), and sends out error messages saying the job fails.
I have restarted the entire server also. Same issue.
The job is not a special one. Just a db index optimize script that ran fine within the maintenance job before I changed the time. Actually, now I just set it up as a SQL agent job, not a maintenance job, and it runs fine.
    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance.
