STO-Within same company code and same sales organisation

hi freinds
i need steps for STO Within same company code and same sales organisation "xyz" with different plant "X " and  " Y"
with regards
dinesh

Hi,
Sales organization is linked to sending plant. It does not matter if receiving plant is using the same or different sales organization. The setup from sending plant is independent from that.
As for the STO standard setup, I suggest you search SDN first. Below example link.

  • Extend customer to multiple company codes and mutliple sales organisations

    Hi,
Customers with only general info. are getting created from CRM system to SAP ECC. Now we extend the same customer to differnt company codes and different sales organisations.
When I checked the BADI, CUSTOMER ADDDATA, in this S_KNA1, S_KNB1, S_KNVV structures are there only. So is it possible to extend it to mutiple company codes at the same time.
It is mostly appreciated for early response.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
You can use fm SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL to extend customer to sales are and company code.
Using this fm you can maintain all customer master data.

  • Account Determination for MM STO within One Company Code

    Dear all;
Can any one tell me what will be the standard OBYC setting for MM STO within the company code. What will be the Posting keys .Kindly reply me in detail.
    Thanking You;
    Regards;
    Joydeep Mukherjee

    Hi,
No extar OBYC setting for MM STO as you alreday have BSX key assigned with G/L account.
STO within the company code which is called Intra-Company STO. Here all Control is on Schedule Line Categories where movement type linked to it and Schedule Line Category with item category which in turn then links to general item category which are need to be there in a material master for STO process.
    You have process as
    A. Create STO in ME21N with document type UB at Receiving Plant.
    B. Create Delivery in VL10B from Supplying Plant
    C. PGI in VL02N from supplying Plant
    D. Goods Receipt in MIGO at Receiving Plant
No accounting document will be generated at GR but all the accounting document will be generated while doing PGI only. The accounting document as following:
At Supplying Plant: Stock Account : Cr
At Receiving Plant: Stock Account : Dr
If you maintain standard price at receiving Plant & if there is any Price Difference account will be triggered.

  • Add on Program to generate AP/AR for STO within a company code

I want to generate the add on Program to Generate the AP with referance to the Material Document.
Is it Possible to Create it and Update the G/L Automatically?
If yes , What are BAPI 'S can we use or Shall we use BDC?
Please share your ideas and Suggestions.

Assign plants c, d, e to same company code.
If you want to create a Stock Transfer Order,
maintain A as supplying plant. (create vendor master linked to purchase org and company code)
maintain c, d, e as receiving plants. (create customer masters linked to company code)
Ignore Plant B (if no changes to stock is happening there).
Do a 2 step stock transfer, when stock is in transit, after 1st step, you can assume stock is moving thru Plant B.
Settings For Stock Transport Order Without Delivery:
    Order type UB
    Item category U
    GI: 351
    GR: 101
    Delivery type: Blank
Settings For Stock Transport Order with Delivery:
    Order type UB
    Item category U
    GI: 641
    GR: 101
    Delivery Type: NL
If STO not needed, use 303 GI from Plant A and 305 GR in Plant C, D, or E thru MIGO.
If Plant B should be considered in stock transfer,
Just do a one or two step transfer from A to B, then from B to C, D or E.

  • STO processing within Same Company Code with Billing/Invoice

Hello Guru's,  I have been asked by our finance department to look at having billing/prices associated with our STO (UB) movements of stock within the same company code.  We currently use a UB order type but obviously no billing is associated with the delivery type NL.  We do have inter company STO's (order type NB) and have prices and billing associated with the delivery type NLCC.
I wanted to take a copy of the NB order type (copy to ZB) and attached to relevant elements in the IMG (assign doc type & define delivery types).  I have done this in an open DEV client and have got a new PO created (ZB) and created a delivery, picked and confirmed the picking.  I have got to a point of PGI and i get the following message ' Purchase order 45########## does not contain items for a stock transfer'
Firstly, do any of you trade via STO within the same company code and associate a billing document?  The reason we want to is that our manufacturing plants want to charge a premium to the packing and distribution warehouse for the goods to get profit visibility.  At the moment the standard cost of goods manufactured at our manufacturing plants transfers to our distribution plant at the same value.
If any of you have any ideas then please let me know.

    Hi,
    Pricing configuration for STO: -
In SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Define Schema Determination > Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders > Here assign Calculation Schema "RM2000" i.e. Stock Transfer Document to Schema Grp Pur. Org, STO Type (For e.g. UB) and Supplying Plant.
Calculation Schema "RM2000" has condition type P101 which will pick up the MAP of supplying plant automatically during creation of STO in ME21N ("Conditions" Tab).
You can create new freight / delivery cost conditions in M/06 for Margin and assign in pricing procedure "RM2000" in M/08 and also assign the Accrual Key to this and do the Account Determination for this Accrual Key in OBYC
    At the time of PGI, following accounting entry will get generated;
    Stock A/c - Dr - 110 INR (Receiving Plant)
    Stock A/c - Cr - 100 INR (Supplying Plant)
Margin Account - Cr - 10 INR (Supplying Plant)

  • MM STO between Plants under the same company code

    Hi experts,
Please guide on the configuration steps for doing STO between Plants unders the same company code.
We have company code 100 in that Plants A B & C are theie. Each Plant can do STO to other Plant.
    How to configure this scenario?

    Dear,
    Please follow bellow path
    1. Create a vendor for the Company code of the receiving plant using account group 0007 via T-Code XK01.
    2. In the purchasing data view assign the supplying plant and the schema group
    3. Create customer with the sales area of the vendor.
    4. The shipping conditions, the delivering plant and the transportation zone determine the route in the STO.
    5. In the pricing procedure determination relevant to the STO assign document pricing procedure and customer pricing procedure to get the pricing in the invoice.
    6. Maintain condition records for pricing condition.
    7. Maintain carrier as a partner in the customer master.
    8. In OMGN select the supplying plant and assign the company code and sales area. Similarly select the receiving plant and assign the company code and sales area (The company code to which the plant is assigned to).
    9. Assign the delivery type and checking rule to the document type.
    10. And finally, assign the purchasing document type to the supplying plant and the receiving plant.
    11. Create the STO using T-Code ME 21N and save.
    12. Check for release strategy if any and release using T-Code ME 28.
    13. Create delivery in background using VL10G.
    14. If delivery is created, it is an indication of correct configuration and master data creation.
Stock transfer between two plants in different company codes is known as inter company stock transfer.
Material should be maintained in both supplying and receiving plant MM01
Stock should maintain only in supplying plant MB1C
Create receiving plant as a customer in supplying plants company code and sales area XD01
Assign this customer number in receiving plant details OMGN
Assign supplying sales area in supplying plant details OMGN
Assign delivery type NB for in combination of supplying/ receiving plants.
    Create STO ME21N
As it is normal there in the item details we should get shipping date i.e. customer number
    Go for Delivery VL10B
    Shipping point *****
    Select PO go for execute
then select the delivery then go for delvy ............create delvy,,,, delvy number generated.
    Goods Issue VL02
    Delvy doc **********
    Click on picking
    enter the picking qty
    Click on PGI
in the mean time check in the PO history you will get the details
    Goods receipt MIGO
Stock transfers that include deliveries and billing documents/invoices are only possible between plants belonging to different company codes.
If you want to carry out a cross-company-code stock transport order with delivery but without a billing document, you must set the Relevant for Billing (data element FKREL) indicator in Customizing of the item type to "blank" (Not relevant for billing).
The following applications are involved in this type of stock transfer:
? Purchasing (MM-PUR) in entering the order
? Shipping (LE-SHP) in making the delivery from the issuing plant
? Billing (SD-BIL) in creating the billing document for the delivery
? Inventory Management (MM-IM) at goods receipt in the receiving plant
Invoice Verification (MM-IV) at invoice receipt in the receiving
Transfer of goods from one location to another location, it may be between plants within the same company code or in different company code's plants.
within the company code, but plants,
receiving plant will raise the STO in Supplying/issuing plant-ME21n,
Supplying plant will deliver the goods to receiving plants ,
then we need to pick n post the Goods Issue-VL02n,
now when we can observe that the STO qty will be added into receiving plant and reduced in Delivering plant,
To do this, we need do prior customization in SPRO-IMG,-
material should be created in both plants( receiving & Supplying)
-maintain the stock only in supplying plant
-create a dummy customer in supplying plant's sales area(if u have one sales area, create in tat comp code n sales area)
-assign this customer number to receiving plant's details along with the sales area,
-Assign the STO doc type(UB) to Supplying plant, along with checking rule
-Assign the Del type (NL/NLCC) to Supplying n receiving plant.

  • STO from Plant to Plant in same Company Code

    Dear All ,
Please give me brief idea about STO(with screen ) from Plant to Plant in same Company Code
    ganga

    Dear Ganga Mukerjee
    Welcome to SDN
There are plenty of threads available on this topic in both SD general,Sales and MM forums
    Please make a search
As this is your first qn i am giving here with some simple steps for STO from Plant to Plant in same Company Code via SD route
    INTRA COMPANY STO.
    1. There should be two plants in the given company code for intra STO to
    happen.
    2. Assign Purchasing org of the ordering to the supplying plant.
    3. Create a customer in the supplying sales area.
    4. Assign the customer to the ordering sales area.
    5. IMG > MM > Purchasing > PO > Setup STO > Define shipping data for plants
here go to supplying plant and mention its own sales area.
    6. In the ordering plant assign the customer created in the supplying sales area
and also the supplying sales area.
    7. Maintain checking rule as 01.
    8. Assign the delivery type NL supplying plant checking rule and PO Doc type
    UB.
    9. Assign document type UB supplying plant and ordering plant then decide up
on either 1 step or 2 steps.
    10. Create PO with doc type UB.
    11. Go to VL10B give the PO No. and enter, select the line item and click back
ground. (Where Del. Will be created in the back ground)
    12. Go to VL02N for picking and PGI.
    13. If 1 step no need of doing MIGO else for 2 steps do MIGO.
    Hence forth make search

  • Stock Transfer Between two plants within same company code

    Hello,
We are using scenario-'Stock transfer between two plants within same company code. Scenaro is like Plant A is receving plant and Plant B is delivering Plant.
Plant A release PO for 100 nos to Plant B
Plant B issues 100 nos (via delivery) to Plant A
But Plant A receives only 50 nos physically so they do Goods receipt for 50 nos , but document got generated for 100 nos (when plant B issues material).
Now Plant A do not want to receive remaining 50 nos physically, but wants to reduce material document which got created when goods issue posted by plant B
Now stock in transis (mb5t) is 50 nos.
How to reduce this material document. or any another alternative solution for this?
    Thanks,
    Shailesh

    Hi There
Reversal of partial is not possible ,
But you can use the Mov Type 557 and 558 to do the adjustments in Stock in transit qty
Few more details on STO adjustments
    Hi There
it can be settle in many ways,,,
    1. Receive the goods as 100 and Scrap the 50 nos from the received plant,,- If the receiving plant is responsible
2.Revert the PGI/Transfer movement(Vl09) and send the 50 nos again from the supplying plant- of the Supplying plant is responsible,
3.Also we have the movement type 557 and 558 without doing the above two steps you can correct the qty from stock in transit itself,,
    4. also you can check the below similar thread
STO - material lost during tranfer from plant A to plant B
    5. If above are not ok, then receive the goods as 100, And raise the STO as your plant as supplying plant and receiving plant is (Supplied 50 nos less) plant,, Do the process without sending the material.. in this way that 50 nos can be adjusted,,
    6.Here is some more details
557 Issue from stock in transit (adjustment posting)
Only use this movement type (also the reversal movement type) under the following circumstances:
Using movement type 557, you can correct purchase-order-independent stock in transit if
    - a good receipt cannot be posted to a purchase order without stock in transit, even though there is still stock in transit according to the purchase order history
    - stock in transit still exists, even though there are no open stock transfer orders for the particular material
This movement type may ONLY be used in the cases mentioned above after careful analysis, to correct stock in transit that has rounding errors.
This movement type may not be copied.
    Note!
Before using this movement type, note the following:
    - 392205 Analysis stock in transit / Correction if split valuation
    Possible special stock indicators:
    E, Q
    7. As previous post says if you have the note for this issue you can use that also
You can use any one of the way to solve the issue, Hope it helps
    Cheers

  • Consignment Process( site to site transfer within same company code)

    Hi All,
We  are having 98% items are the vendor consigned article. We are working in IS retail environment ECC5.0. Our scenario is as follows:-
We inward all the vendor consigened articles in Distribution center  and stock it in DC. From DC we want to transfer vendor consigned articles to Retail stores where we are going to sale  vendor consigned article. After the sale we get the payments from the vendor.
    My problem arise here :-
    1. How do I transfer vendor consigned good to retail  stores as vendor consigned goods  so that I can see the inventory of vendor consigned articles in retails stores and  monitor the stock.
    2. I am looking forward for temporory solution that I should use MB1B , Mvt Type 301 K ( consigenment). But problem is that It create internal documents (MM documents)  but I need transit document which will show the value of items,.
Since it is consigned artcles  it will not generate accounting documents. From Should I get the price.?
3.I tried as Stock transfer  (STO ) process but  for regular ( owned ) item it is working fine but for consigned materials it say" You can not have   STO process for Consigned articles with in same company code".Please suggest How should go? so thatI will have consigned stock
Looking forward for  your valuable  and earliest response
    Sanjay Rahangdale
    M09327162228

    hai
you can use 301 - K  in MB1B .it will not generate accounting document since the material belongs to vendor.but you have to maintain consignment info record in both plants .the price should be same in both plants.
    it will solve your problem

    Hi,
Can anyone please tell that whether we can assign same Excise Group to two different plants within the same company code in SAP.
    Regards,

Yes you can use but, you shouldn't use same excise group for two different plants in one company code, if their physical location is different.
As many excise report are fetched on the basis of excise group, there it will show combined values for both plants, whcih may not be acceptable to exices authorities.

  • Product Costing - Two Costing Variants - Mark and Release In Same Company Code Same Period

    Hi All,
We are currently handling a CO-PC project where client has requirement to use two different costing variants in the same period in the same company code. SAP standard does not allow use of two costing variants in the same period for the same company. We can have only One Costing Variant per Co Code for Marking / Releasing Standard Price.
There are some materials in Plant 1 or Plant 2 for which cost estimates using costing variant ABC1 calculated and than prices are marked and released (CK24), now same materials are received in Plant3 where mixed costing is used and thus need to have cost estimates from second costing variant ABC3 (second costing variant) marked and released. Object is to have ABC3 cost estimates in material master standard price field, but SAP does not allow to mark and release for second costing variant in the same period for same co code as ABC1 variant already ran for plant1 or Plant2 under same company code, therefore, business is not able update ABC3 prices in Standard price of the material master.
Purpose of this second costing variant mark and release run is that for some materials business would like to implement costing at Plant3 level also, where they get same materials from different production sites (Plants). At Plant3 level, business is using mixed costing where the standard price is a weighted Average standard price, taking the different production sites standard cost into consideration in combination of the volume split between those production sites.
Did any one worked on this kind of requirement? Is there any SAP standard way to handle? Or this will need some ABAP enhancement?
    Kindly advise.

    Hi Atul
    1. You dont need separate Valuation Variant in Plant 3
    2. Use Costing Variant ABC1 and ensure that it has the needed Valuation Strategies in Valuation Variant
Allow Complete Transfer in the Transfer Control i.e. Cross Plant Transfer in it
    3. Assign the Qty Str Type you have used in ABC3, to ABC1.. i.e. In the Costing Version, assign the Qty Str Type to the Costing Type and Valuation Variant from ABC1
After this, do CK11N and CK24 for Plant 1
Then do CK11N and CK24 for Plant 3, using ABC1.. You dont need to change anythiing before doing CK11N for Plant 3
To make it simple, you can use any one of ABC1 or ABC3 in both the plants.. You only need to ensure that Valuation Variant, TRansfer Control are set up as desired

  • Transfer with in same Company code with a fixed mark up

    HI  gurus,
here is the situation ,we purchase some unlabelled packing materials form vendor in the distribution center , then pack them up into many smaller packages with our own label , after that ,the DC transfer packed material to store for sales .
the requirement is that ,we want to manage both the stock of raw material and goods for sales in different article number ,and when doing the tranfer posting from DC to store ,the cost of package material can be included in the transfer cost of sales goods, additionally with a fixed mark up. BTW , the DC and store belong to same company code .
    any suggestion?
    thanks in advance !

    Dear Friend,
your scenario look like STO within company code
you can achieve your requirement by
Mark up or by paking scenario if you use packing scenario you can use that item category is relevent for pricing and you can add packing charges into your main product pricing
your SAP termilogy shows you are working on  SAP IS Retail

  • External processing in the plant as vendor under same company code

    Hi friends,
In our project under implementation we have following scenario.
we have 4 plants under one company code. one of the plant does powder coating as manufacturing activity. Other 3 plants sends components to the powder coating plant for coating purpose.
In IDES Standard scenario of external processing, a purchase requisition is raised thro info record maintained for the external operation. This scenarion works if the vendor is external.
In our case, the vendor is one of the other plant under same company code/client. Also the powder coating needs to be done without any profit margin for internal customers.
Our FICO guys have the opinion that, intra plant can't be a vendor; because raising invoices among plants under the same company codes is against accounting standars.
If anybody has faced this type of scenario nd found the solution, Please share it here.
    Thanx in advance

    Hi Shiva
    STO scenario
You can not create only STO as you need to send the unpainted components to another plant through SAP & have them painted back with only payment of paining charges without margin.
    Subcontracting scenario
You can not create the Subcontracting PO as this is not your external vendor.
    Does this involves excise?
Then the PR/PO ctreated should be of combination of STO and subcontracting. If so this is not possible, as item category is the only field in PR/PO that identifies it as STO and subcontracting. obiviously it cann't have 2 values.
    My suggesion on this as...
Create a BOM for painted component with sp procurement key as produced in another plant(paining plant). this will have STO cretaed for paining plant. This will inturn cretae a production order in painitng plant.
The BOM in painting plant will have the unpainted component with sp procurement key as produced in another plant ( fabricated plant) this will have STO created for unpainted components.
I hope I am clear & not confused you much.

    2. Will there be parallel reporting required in the new co code
    3. Will the Tax Proceduire be same?
    4. Will there be consolidation between the new co code and previous three co codes
    5. Will there be any sales/purchase transaction between the new co code and the other three co codes? If yes, how will they be accounted?
    6. Will there be any payment transaction by the new co code on behalf of other co codes and vice versa
    7. How will intercompany transaction should be posted?
