Stock Write Off

Hi All
I need some help on which movement type to use to write off stock directly to a GL account without assigning a Cost Centre.
Vishnu

561 Initial entry of stock - unrestricted-use stock
563 Initial entry of stock - quality inspection
564 Initial entry of stock - blocked stock
During initial entry of stock balances, you enter the physical warehouse stock frigures or the book inventory from your old system into the SAP System for productive operation. This data entry usually takes place by means of batch input.
Possible special stock indicators: E, K, M, O, Q, V, W (565: only E, K, Q)

  • Ref in MBIA for stock write off required to be reflected in GL

    Dear Forum,
We have a scenario where by the Approval is obtained before the stocks could be written off and the users want this manual approval no. to be recorded while creating the transaction for stock write off thru MB1A, such that this approval no. appears in the Stock Write Off GL against each of the line items for write offs. How could we achieve this? Is there a way to handle this.
    Thanks!
    Regards,

    Hi Shukitz,
Thanks for the prompt response. Are you referring to the Doc Header Text, I tried putting the approval no. there but it does not get reflected in the GL Account. Is the item text different and where can I find the same in MB1A?
Thanks once again for the help!

  • Stock Write-off Report

    Dear Friends,
Is there a transaction or Report available to see the write-off stock by plant or through any movement types ? Please suggest
    the requirement is as fallows:
Report needs to be selectable by IPC or ICC. Or plant
The report will need to show the stock that has been written off in Quantity of the item, the cost of this stock. And where the stock was written off.
The report should provide a total cost per plant and a total cost per item. At that plant. Where multiple locations are viewed the total cost sum for the plants should be provided.
    Regards
    Prakash

    Hi Prakash
Could you please clarify the following
    1. Is this write-off stock means stock posted to scrapping (551 mvmt)?
    2. What do you mean by IPC and ICC?
If you can able to bifurcate the write-off through mvmt 551 (or any other) you may get all your requirements in MB51 report itself.
    Thanks/ GVRR

  • 711 PI write off question

    Hi All
To speed up the PI process I have tested that you can move the 'lost stock' quantity from one storage type and bin to the 999 storage type using LT01 and then write off using LI21.
It creates the correct 711 movement type for stock write off.
What are the pitfalls in adopting this method?
    Thanks in advance
    Darren

    Hi Jurgen
    Strange but true!
I counted the actual clicks and key presses it takes to process an individual stock adjustment for one part number using LICC, LI11N, LI20 and LI21. It took less clicks and key presses using standard SAp PI than any other write off process I have tested. They included writing off to a cost centre and my previous test of moving the stock difference from its bin to a bin in storage type 999 that just needed LI21 to write off. (even when the processes I have tested have less T-codes!)
I was going to use the LT01 and LI21 process that I tested for just writing off stock adjustments as and when the warehouse staff find a discrepency.
I have a company reluctance to use SAP PI as it "has too many transactions and is too complicated".
Thanks for your suggestion Jurgen, I will enlighten the necessary people.....

  • Write off Stock at Subcontractor End

    Hi Experts,
We want to write off the stock lying at stock subcontractor end in SAP thru Physical Inventory Adjustment.  No storage location is assigned to subcontractor stock in SAP. Therefore we are finding it difficult to do it thru MI01, MI04, MI07.
Please guide how it is possible
    Regards
    ( Rajneesh Gulati )

Why do Physical Inventory, presumably the SC is telling you, you aren't physically checking.  Why not just process a goods issue to destruction, Movement Type 551 etc., through MIGO for O stock category ?
    Cheers,
    Nick

  • Write-off the MM inventory stock

    Dear expert,
I want write-off the MM inventory stock which is expired, please give the step & procedure.
    Regards,
    PK

    Dear Learn New,
    PI Process -
Creation of Physical Inv Doc by MI01
Entering ZERO COUNT (Tick of ZC Box in PI Document by T CD - MI04
and posting the document by MI07 (individual document) or MI20( List of documents)
System will adjust inventory automatically by 702 movement type as a issue and financial impact will be in Loss Account as loss due to Physical imbalance in stock.
You can alternatively withdraw stock for Scrapping by movement type 551.
    Thanks

  • Write Off Stock Provided To Vendor

    Hi all
Could anyone please tell me what movement type to use to write off stock that is showing as provided to vendor.
    Thanks

If you are using Physical Inventory route you can create an PI document using T Code MI01 do the rest of process as usual and then post difference with Mvt Type 702.

  • R12 - Accounts Payable & PO Accrual Reconciliation Report - write offs

    Hi,
As a relative novice to Oracle I need some help.................
My question regards the above which is essentially a "goods received not invoiced" report.
I have a number of items on the report which I would like to write off for two reasons:
    (1) I have a small balance left which is basically the difference between the PO and the accounts payable column - in the region of 1p to 5p (therfore a housekeeping exercise)
    (2) Items that we've never received an invoice for (we've received the stock for free!). ie there is only an entry in the PO column of the report.
For the above I would like a method of writing off these balances from the report.* This should therefore create a credit in my P&L account.
    Your thoughts please.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Write off process--BAPI/FM ?

    Hi All,
I've a requirement to do write off goods using a program.
    I've gone through this thread: [write-off the MM inventory stock;
However, I need a FM or BAPI to pass movement type 551 and cost center?
I understand to write off, that has to be 'borne' by a cost center..so, should I pass cost center also?
Also would appreciate what other implications/ considerations I've to make while carrying out the write off process?
sorry, if am re-posting and this has been answered already..I did some searching but couldn't find hence posting.
    Regards,
    Raghu.

thanks! I was in the wrong direction I was looking for an Inventory Adjustment process which is done using cycle count and differences posted using MI07 which uses movement type 701/702. So decided to use BAPI_MATPHYSINV_POSTDIFF with phy inventory document and fiscal yr etc..

  • Write Off Quantity and value

    hi,
How do I write off the value and quantity for the stocks?
For stock materials we do the physical inventory - entering count adjust qty and posting adjust vale . But how can I adjust for value only articles?

    Hi,
That will be easy for you to post MI10 document .This will write of the quantity and value of that quantity.
If you want to change the standard price of the material post a MR21 document.

  • Write off loan balance in SAP

    Dear friends,
We have custom infotype to store employee loan balance and trying to set up a write off to clear the loan balance using IT0015.  I am not able to reduce the loan balance which exists in custom infotype.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

    1. Custom infotype is for Stock purchase plan.   And it has Original loan amount, current loan balance, fees, commisiion.  Loan balance stored in a wage type.   Deduction amount is entered in IT0014 per pay period.  If employ pays the loan, there is option to enter loan repaid amount manually in custom infotype then deduction, pay period amount and reimbursement wage types were automatically  created in IT0015.      When we run the payroll , we can see loan balance wage type in payroll results.     Now they want to write off loan balance.     Can you please advise how we can achieve it.   I need to complete this issue by end of tomorrow.  Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Write-on/Write-off Vehicle

    Hi All,
      I am new to VMS..
My Requirement ---write-off the vehicle. using  movement type and cost center...
Is there any standard transaction available for Write-off/write-on...
      Please provide valuable Suggestion ..
Moderator message: please search for available information/documentation.

    I am getting confused
    You and me both!!
I am as certain as I can be that after doing my 702 write off there were no TOs or TRs created and the WM stock is sitting in the exact same storage type in LS26 as it was before I wrote off the stock and there doesn't appeart to be any other negative stocks in LS26 corresponding to my write off.
I have discussed it further with the business and for the write-off issue, they are happy to write stock back on using a 701 movement and then write it off correctly using the 712 movements. e.g.
    Current
    WM 10
    IM    0
    701 Write On
    WM 10
    IM 10
    712 Write Off
    WM 0
    IM 0
This will satisfy them for the write offs as from an IM point of view it will be a write on followed by a write off and from a WM point of view the stock will then leave correctly.
However, we can not do the same thing for our stock that was wrote on as it has already been moved on from an IM point of view so the orginal question is still there. Is there a way we can write on stock from a WM point-of-view without updating the IM stock.

  • Write-off (Mvt type: 551) in batch

Hi experts, as titled, I am looking for ways to do write-off using movement type 551 in batch, as in doing write-off for a couple of sites (stores) at the same time.
I have come up with below.
    1. Either to do stock adjustment (e.g. MIGO, MB1C, MB1A) in batch, but the standard only supports doing adjustment one site by one site
    2. Use T-code MI31 which supposedly can support adjustment in batches, but it has predetermined movement type of 701/702.
Would you have other greater methods for this scenario?
    Thanks and BR
    Dom

    Hi Dom,
what do you mean one site by one site? Each document line has it's own plant, you can have different plants in different lines...
    regards,
    Edgar

  • Physical Inventory IM write off report with values

    Hi All
I am having difficulty in finding a standard transaction that will detail IM write off with a value/cost.
I can see tha values in the LI20 trx which is at WM. However, when you write it off at IM (LI21) it only shows material and quantity and not value. I cannot bring the field in using the layout.
The only way i can currently get the info is to export the data from MB51 (711 and 712 movements) and merge the table in excel with a material cost table and calculate the vaule written off that way.
I need to know the cost to be written off at IM level before I click on the Write Off button.
    Any ideas?
    Darren

Not really clear what you want or why you are complaining.
LI20 is clearing WM differences. Which is a madatory step in the physical inventory cycle. This one will show you the value. and this one is before you post the differences to IM.
LI21 will not show costs. If you wait with LI21 then you  might get other costs than shown in LI20, however, more critical is the stock inconsistency that you have between WM and IM  until you execute LI21.
MB51 has the value within, no need to export to Excel and valuated it with a price from another download.
