UCCX voicemail redirect

Good evening everyone,
I'm hoping someone can give me some assistance with this question about uccx scripting as I am new to scripting and can't follow the logic. I see in the script that there is a menu option then voicemail then a Dequeue, which I gather takes the call out of any queue it is in, then a 'redirect' invoked to the voicemail pilot. What I don't understand is that it's sending the call to the voicemail pilot (by the logic I'm looking at the script), which is the voicemail number for all users, but in all actuality the call is sent to a unity voicemail box that is also a route point. In this example the route point/unity box is ext. 5740. I have attached the piece of the script, but I can't understand how by looking at this script it "knows" to send to that voicemail box, when the "to strVMPilot" is the voicemail pilot. Also, under checking the properties of the 'Call Redirect' the called address is reset to a name of CBred, but the value is set to "". I was thinking it would be set to the actual unity- voicemail box, but it was not.I hope I'm giving enough info and that I don't sound to wildly inaccurate. Thanks in advance.

I dont disagree and of course the idea is to send the call to desired number, for example lets say I want to send the call to user with DN 2000 voicemail box without ringing it, the best solution is to redirect the call to lets say 11112000 which is defined as CTI RP on CUCM with profile mask of XXXX and set to forward all to VM. Keep in mind you cannot start the redirect string in UCCX with * or # hence 1111 or anything non-overlapping in your dial plan.
However if you simply point to the voicemail pilot (which the question is about) then the call when answered by unity will attempt to find a mailbox with the originally dialed number which is the CTI RP that was used to send the call to UCCX, so one can add that as alternate extension on desired mailbox.

  • Voicemail redirect fails

    Hi All
When external users are redirected to voicemail they do not hear the greeting message. I have noticed the call is established but it goes silent. All internal calls redirect to voicemail fine.
UM runs on Hub transport server running exchange 2007

Yep internal calls work fine with voicemail. MGCP is being used on our network. I tried calling my landline from a cell phone and once the ring timer expires, it looks like the call is being sent to voicemail but i cant here the greeting.

  • UCCX Voicemail Record Script

We created a UCCX script designed to allow callers to hit option 2 record a message instead of waiting in the queue. I have been asked by the supervisor if there is a way to make sure there isn't any stranded voicemail recordings to this trigger. I have checked the script and I don't think it actually stores messages on our unity box. So my question is this possible?

The only way it will store a Message on the unity box is for a Transfer to Occur to a User with Mailbox. I've "created" scripts of this nature which Stores a Recorded Message in a File Document and once an Agent is Connected to that particular "caller" in Queue the Message that Was Recorded is Played to the Agent (Play Prompt). Unless stored elsewhere that Recorded message is not persistent and will be collected by the Java GC and removed accordingly.

  • Uccx - call redirect

I have a script that is doing many call redirect.  One of my redirect to going to an outside line.
    example:
    13035554444
this can not be completed.  what am I missing?

    Hi Derrick
Have you checked the Calling search space assigned to CTI Ports and that the dialed number includes the access code to select outside line based on route pattern configured on CUCM?

  • Masking the displayed destination in Call Redirect situation

We have a Helpdesk script in UCCX that redirects the caller to a specific internal DN during on-call hours (after hours), instead of routing to the CSQ.  Helpdesk technicians change a call forward all setting on that redirect DN to reflect whatever external mobile phone number is on call during a particular week.
The problem is that we do not want to disclose the redirect destination (neither the internal DN nor the currently assigned call forward all external mobile number).  Currently, once the redirect is successful and the system calls the on-call mobile number, the original internal caller to the Helpdesk will see that final destination number displayed on the phone placing the call.
How can I manipulate the display of the called number for that call redirect?
Thanks a lot for any pointers,
    Matthias

Thank you very much, that did the trick!   :-)
I'm quite the newbie in UCCX so I wasn't sure if I just couldn't find it there due to my lack of experience...  I tried the translation pattern in CUCM instead and that worked without a hitch.  I now have UCCX redirect to the pattern configured in CUCM, which translates to my internal on-call destination.  What's nice is that I can separately control called name and number restrictions... I restrict the number only but can still display the name label of the internal extension.

Hello, my name is brad and I recently had a voicemail app that I was using and now i got rid of it. But now my voicemail for the phone will not work. I tried to reset the network settings and nothing happened. I was wondering if you could help me out?

When you set up a voicemail redirection, usually you have to remove that redirection from the account that redirected it.  Like Google Voice, if you activate Google Voice to receive your voicemail, you will have to log into voice.google.com to turn it off.  If you contact your carrier, they can tell you exactly what program has taken over your voicemail functionality just in case you are stuck, but if you know the name of that App, I'm sure you will be able to figure it out.  Hope this helps you out.

  • Outlook 2010 hangs when opening emails from a certain sender

I have a problem when we a receive a notification email from a certain sender.  The email is actually from an internal address within the company.  We receive email notifications when we receive a voice mail on our phone system and that email
is what is causing the problems.  The email we receive is very basic and just has a small amount of text saying "IP Office Voicemail redirected message".  When I try to open the email (or view when the reading pane is enabled) it hang Outlook
for about 20-30 seconds.  This happens with every notification email we receive from that address.  I tried locking up Outlook when it was hanging to see if I could get any error messages.  In Event Viewer I got this:
"The program OUTLOOK.EXE version 14.0.7113.5000 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel."
    Things I have tried:
Clean install (of both Office and Windows)
Removing and recreating the Outlook profile
Setting Outlook to "Read all standard mail in plain text"
    Updating Windows/Office
Setting our voice mail server to send from a different email address
    Opening Outlook in safe mode
We are on a domain with Exchange.  This started happening a couple of months ago.
Any ideas as to what I can try next?
    Thanks.

    Hi JW_IC,
    Does this issue occur OWA?
If OWA not hangs, it seems an issue on the Outlook client side.
I found that you have done all operations on the Outlook client side and still not worked.
How about following the error message, "To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel",
to check the problem in the Action Center control panel. Please paste the details without sensitive information for the further troubleshooting.
I suggest updating Outlook 2010 to the latest version for test.
    Thanks

  • UCCX forward to voicemail with additional information

    Hi ,
I'm just looking some other precision about the following question .
I will deploy a script with several languages and if no agent are logged or if we are on closed state. then to send the caller to unity voicemail . On this one there is no issues to perform the script .
My question is the following :
As all my agents are sharing the same CSQ and as we are working with skills ( languages skills ) is possible when the UCCX will forward the call to unity voicemail , to send also the language information collected on the menu via the variable to Unity and push this information into the subject as my agent will use voicemail to email to read/listen their voicemail.
I don't see any way how Unity can handle this information as we want to preserve also the caller identification ( if it was not the case , I was may be able to change the caller id in UCCX so that agents can look at the caller id to know which language is the voicemail )
The other way that I can see is to have 2 voicemail depending the languages and in Exchange/Unity to make an automatic forward decision from a voicemail to the other voicemail and try to present the information of forwarding ( ex: FW from Language_A - Caller ID )
Have you already encountered this question ?
    Many thanks
    Olivier

I would setup a mailbox for each language and send it to the appropriate mailbox based on the language in UCCX.
If you REALLY wanted all of the messages with different languages to show up in one mailbox, you could use Forward Routing Rules in Unity Connection to change the language of the call based on extension number and send it to one mailbox with multiple language greetings recorded.  Personally, I would separate them out.

  • UCCX Redirect Step and Local Route Groups

    Hello,
    CUCM 9.1.2
    UCCX 9.0
I have come across a situation in one of our UCCX scripts with the call redirect step where it is forwarded to a local cell phone for after hours calls. The number in the Call Redirect step is 9, followed by the 10-digit number of the cell.
While the call does redirect successfully from the UCCX script, the call always uses the local route group of the original calling party's device. So, if the call from an IP Phone to the cell is going out the gateway where the cell number is a local call, the 9 followed by the 10 digit number works fine.
If it's a site across the WAN, the call redirect to the cell fails because it's using LRG of the calling party's phone and thus it needs to be a long distance call.
I kind of thought the Service Parameter Local route group for redirected calls being set to "Local route group of last redirecting party" might have addressed this, like it did for call forward all situations, but it does not seem to be the case.
Would the recommendation be to use Call Consult Transfer instead of the Call Redirect step? This seems to work, but was wondering if there were other ways to approach it.
    Thanks for your help,
    Frank

    Hi Anthony,
Thanks for the reply. The Call Consult Transfer step did resolve my issue, so now the call is always coming from the local site and using the LRG of the DP of the CTI ports. I previously had it set up using the Call Redirect step in the script with 9 followed by the 10-digit number, and thus it was kind of not working when calling over the WAN from remote sites.
I should have mentioned that we recently did an CUCM / CCX upgrade. In CUCM, all call restrictions were previously done at the device level, nothing on the line. Now we have the line doing the call restrictions. So the Call Redirect step worked fine in the old environment with the 10-digit number, not so much in the new.
But I like your suggestion about +E164 even better, since we rolled that into the upgrade as well. I tried putting the full +E164 number in the script using the Call Redirect step. Works perfectly from all sites.
    Thanks for your help.

  • UCCX scripting ??? redirect step:

In our script we have a dequeue > redirect step that sends callers to voicemail.   If the caller hangs up within the first second or two of the voicemail greeting the call shows up as abandoned in the HRC.   If the caller waits another second or more before hanging up it shows up as dequeued in the reports.   Has anyone observed this and found a fix for it?
    Thanks in advance.

We actually ended up putting a two second delay before the terminate call step and it seems to work....not sure why though.   We had the set "handled" rule there already and it didn't help.   We also tried the 2 second delay after the dequeue step and it didn't correct it,  but we also didn't add the silence to the voicemail greeting.
Anyway,  thanks for the suggestions.   Hopefully if someone else finds a similiar issue they can use this information.

  • UCCX scripting, Voicemail?

I'm creating a new UCCX script and I have a question regarding voicemail fwd when no
agents are available. I know that I need to add the 'Get Reporting' stat before the menu,
but I'm not sure where to place it. Also, I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be using
to many uccx ports. I have attached the script . I will appreciate if someone can edit it for me.

    mislam2
I place my get reporting step right before a caller would go to the queue.  If not agents are available or the average queue time is too high I set a transfer string variable and send the caller to the voice mail box.
You should not have to worry about using too many ports.  Once the caller is transferred the uccx port is done with the call.

  • UCCX redirect external busy

    Hello,
I want to make in a UCCX 8.5 an external redirect in a script.
The problem is that when the external phone is busy the script should go on.
I 've tested this with a internal number and there i can use the busy case in the redirect step.
When I type in an external extension the call goes to this extension when the script come to this point.
But when the external extension is typed in and this extension is busy the caller hears the busy tone called the uccx application.
    I have a h323 Gateway and CUCM 8.6
In the q931 debug I can see the user busy.
Is there a way that on an external number the script goes on when this number is busy?
    regards
    Marco

    Use consult transfer step instead.

  • Problem with redirect script when calling from external - UCCX

    Hi,
I have a problem with external calls not being redirected when the call comes from an external that begins with a certain prefix on teh ANI.
The call path goes PSTN - VGW - UCM SUB - UCCX.
To give you info this should be redirected to a auto attendant on unity but it just hits the fourth option unsuccessful.
If i change it to match an internal ANI and test it works.
What trace and log do i look at to see the call coming in from the UCM and what is happening with it why this is failing when it trys to redirect a call coming from external?
I have also attached my script.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Martin Braun,
Go to GUI status which you set in the PBO of your screen,
    and open "Function Keys" part.
You should have set function key F4 for a button on your GUI status,
delete this button and create with another function key again.
    I hope it helps.

  • UCCX 7.0.1SR5 Redirect call 2 new CSQ if group of resources isn't available

I have a group of resources that will be assigned all multilingual CSQs.  If a multilingual call comes in, I want the script to check if there is a multilingual (ML) resource logged in before putting the call in the multilingual CSQ.  Once the call is in queue, I would like the script to continuously check to make sure that a ML rep is logged in.  If a ML rep is not logged into CAD when the call comes in or logs out while the ML call is in queue, I would like to redirect the ML caller to an English CSQ as a catch all.
The problem is that I don’t know how to distinguish between a ML rep and an English rep within the script.  I was thinking I could put them into separate teams but the script doesn’t appear to have the ability to see different teams.
    Thoughts?

You should be able to use the Get Reporting Statistics step to check the quantity of Logged In Resources in the multilingual CSQ. You can use this same step within the Queued branch of the multilingual CSQ Select Resource step to ensure there are still people logged in.
Follow that with an If step based on the quantity of resources logged in and act accordingly. Don't forget to use the Dequeue step before leaving the Queued branch of a Select Resource step though.
