Conditions type of category "Delivery Costs"(B) donu00B4t allow negative values
Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to munipulate a condition type with category "B" Delivery costs in such a way that it allows a negative entry in the Purchase Order.
Estandard SAP does not allow it. Message: 06259 "Negative Delivery costs are not allowed".
If the above is not possible, can anyone tell me how a can manipulate a Discount (fixed amount) in such a way that it not only points at a particlar account (accruels indicator does this job) upon MIGO, but also apears as a line-item upon receiving the invoice (MIRO). As far as I know, only Planned delivery costs can do this job. But they do not allow negative values!
If anyone has encountered a similar task, please tell me how they solved it.
Thanks,
AartHello Guys,
The scenario isas follows.
When one buys fuel, in Chile one has to pay fuel especific Taxes.
Version especific config does not resolve this because we need the tax in amount (value) not in percentage.
In our system we resolved this by creating a material "Fuel especific Taxes" which points at a tax-account with a special tax-indicator.
So far so good.
Now the government implemented a second fuel tax - "Fuel tax variable" which we might resolve in the same way, but the problem is this tax might be negative(!).
We cannot create a material with a "negative value" in our Purchase Order and discount conditions have inmediate efect on the material costs in the PO.
The ideal would be incorporate a condition type in the PO which upon invoicing (MIRO) shows up with the tax account (and a possible negative value!
The model we have developed upto now is using the tabpage "GeneralAccount" in the MIRO but in this model we have to indicate the account ourselves. The system does not propose it.
Thats why I thought of the "Planned Delivery costs" option.
Hope this clarifies a bit more the case we have.
Thanks for any feedback

Negative values to be permitted in Post capitalisation function.
Negative value adjustment required by the client.
Negative values to be permitted in Post capitalisation function in Asset Accounting.
Please show me the steps how to configure and how to complete the transaction with an example.Hi,
Generally negative values always be allowed for assets under construction.
Refer Below note you can get more information
Note 19048 - AA617 with credit memo on fixed asset / AuC settlement
Ex: Asset Value: $ 100

Now you want to post Manual Dep/ Credit Memo : $ 22 then you should select Nagative Value Allowed Check Box in Asset Maset Dep Area Level.

I have one requirement for my new depreciation area 93, the depreciation area 93 will take same value as depreciation area 01,
but using different depreciation key
my detailed requirement is :(1) any asset disposal only post to depreciation area 01 but not 93, how to configure this?
(2). depreciation area 93 need to run monthly depreciation area, we create accumlated depreciation account and Acquisition account for each asset class in depreciation area 93, but these accounts master are not defined as reconcillation account-asset
is it a issue when we run afab for depreciation area 20
(3), when we run askbn, it doesn't adjust accumulated depreciation in depreciation area 93, should we use fb01 to upload accumulated depreciation for depreciation area 93?Hi,
1) Use a limited transaction type.
2) Should be tested
3) When opening of new depreciation area via RAFABNEW you have the following flags:
a. Indicator: Leave values initial = not ticked.
Do not set this indicator if you want the system
to copy the values from depreciation area 01.
b. Indicator: Leave values initial = ticked.
Set this indicator if you want to open the newly created
depreciation area without any values i.e. blank.

Ramakrishna.KHi,
You should use the local rules for depreciation area 01 = local book and
set up your group rules in another depreciation area such as 30 where you can use different GAAP.

Change Value in Depreciation Area that does not generate posting
Hi,
We have a depreciation area for fiscal values that does not have any posting in G/L. Such depreciation area should have the same value as the posting area, but now some of our assets have 0 in fiscal area and we would like to have the same as the posting area. How can we change manually the value of the fiscal depreciation area? We would like to change only such depreciation area and not the others.
Thank you very much,
ArianaYou can create a new transaction type (a copy from 100) and limit this transaction type to your fiscal depreciation area.
Then you can make with this new transaction type and the transactions abso the postings in asset accounting -
No Depreciation adjustment after posting of credit note.
Hi SAP Guru's,
I have an issue regarding the posting of Credit notes in the current fiscal year for Assets capitalized in the previous year.
An invoice has been posted twice in the system with transaction F-90 in 2008. For this reason, two Assets has been created in the system and now we want to create a credit note for one in 2009.
What have I done in the system:
- I have changed the depreciation area's to allow all values for the Acquisition value.
- I have posted a write up for the depreciation that took place in 2008 with transaction type 721.
- And I have posted a credit note (F-90) with transaction type 160 in 2009.
What happened:
First the system generated the error message: AA660 "Transaction in area 01 contradicts the net book value rule"
I think this should not be the case, but I've have then allowed all value for the Net book value in all relevant area's and then the system allows the posting to take place.
The problem is now, that I have a negative Net Book value and this is because the depreciated value in 2009 are not corrected automatically. I would expect SAP to post (planned a next depr. run) with a debet posting (AW01N) which correct the depreciation in 2009 also. this would lead to a zero Net book value. Have I missed something & can you help me solve this issue?
Thank you in advance for your help. Kind regards,
ClydeHi,
You have capitalised two assets for the same invoice and would like to cancel the second asset---right?
Simple way of handling this issue is...
First scrap your second asset with transaction ABAVN in 2009 with posting date 01.04.2009. (according to FY start date)
By posting the retirement entry, system will post the NBV of that asset as on FY start date to LOSS account (P&L account)
The amount which is posted to the above loss account would be total of Acquisition value + Dep posted for FY 2008.
Then pass a manual JV to adjust the Acquisition value with vendor invoice, which was wrongly posted, and adjust the Dep posted in FY 2008 with depreciation P&L GL account.
And dep posted in 2009 will be automatically adjusted in the next dep posting run.
This will resolves the issue without doing any additional configs and credit memos.
Hope you got my point.
Thanks,

Parallel depreciation area not posted when trying to settle an order.
Hi,
We have requirement of using parallel currencies in one of the cocode. So I havee set up parallel currencies in AA as well.
We have three currencies EUR as Local currency, USD as Group Currency and CHF as Index-based Curremcy.
I have set up Depreciation areas

I have selected Indentical and TTr check box for dep areas 02,31,32, & 42.
I have done the consistency check and it shows no errors in depreciation area set up.
When Trying to settle an internal order in KO88 to a fixed asset I am getting the below error message.
*Data inconsistency: Parallel depr. area is not posted Message no. AAPO104*
Diagnosis
For chart of depreciation ZCH, you defined this area (or these areas) as parallel depreciation areas for depreciation area 01. In the current transaction, however, not all of these areas are posted. This is not allowed.
Procedure
Check if the transaction type is limited to certain depreciation areas. If there is such a limitation, add the missing depreciation areas for the transaction type.
Check if the asset that is being posted manages all these depreciation areas.
I have checked the transaction types and they are not limited to any depreciation areas. I have activated depreciatio areas in the asset class and maintained the account determination nad assigned g/l accounts.
Please help me if I have missed any settings.
Thanks & Regards
NirmalaHi,
AAPO104 is generally a customizing error: the check points to consider are generally the following regarding parallel currencies: I think you have checked most of them already...
* The parall. dep. area must have the same settings as the original area (e.g. allowing APC).
* The parall. dep. area must set for identical values take over.
* The parall. dep. area must set for identical parameter take over.
* The parall. dep. area must be assigned to the currency type which is defined as parallel in FI in trx. OB22 (e.g. 30).
* The parall. dep. area must be activated in the asset class (transaction OAYZ)
Furthermore, a problem can also be that in OABT you have a parallel area customized, taking value from another area, which is customized and seen in T093. If for example this parall.area is missing on your Asset Under Construction but is there on the final asset this obviously will create the error AAPO104, too.
In any case check your settings are correct in regards to parallel depreciation areas. They must manage same values as original areas. If they don't it cannot be a parallel area.
Maybe you also need to consider the information in SAP note 317806.
Also, looking at your different depreciation areas above, it looks that you have set up a ledger scenario (areas 01 , 02 and 29). I wonder, do you have a correct set up for the parallel currency for your ledger scenario? If I am not mistaken, I don't see a derived parallel currency area. Could this be the problem?

Creation of depreciation area for posting of parallel currencies postings
while i am posting f-90 asset e. auqsiation its giving error massage
"Customizing inconsistency (contact your system administrator)
Message no. AC496
Diagnosis
Company code BP01 manages parallel currencies in Asset Accounting. For each area that posts automatically online to FI, you have to define one dependent depreciation area that adopts both identical values and depreciation terms from depreciation area 01, and which is assigned to currency type 60 and currency INR. There is no depreciation area of this type defined for depreciation area 01.
Procedure
Check your Customizing settings."Hi Venkat,
Create a New Depreciation area with APC Values and Depn values identical to Value 01.
Then goto valuation> currencies
Specify the Use of Parallel Currencies> and assign the currency type and valuation view to the new depn area. tick the identical values
then goto
Define Depreciation Areas for Foreign Currencies> give the parallel currency against the depn area
Now try doing the transaction.
Please revert back if you still have any issues.

New Depreciation Area after go-live
Hi Gurus
We are on ECC 6.0 in a production environment having gone live in April 2008.
We had gone live with only Depreciation Area 01. Other depreciation areas were de-activated. We have a requirement now to create a new depreciation area 15 for Income Tax Depreciation. We have activated the Dep Area 15 & did the necessary configuration including activation of group assets. We have run the program AFBN for creating new Dep Area. We have created a couple of assets which are also working fine.
However, when we try to update the depreciation values for assets (using AS92) which are already gone live from April 2008, we encounter a problem. We cannot change the depreciation key for Dep Area 15. Also, the group asset field is deactivated for gone live assets. But it works fine for assets created afresh.
Please help.
RegardsHi,
You have to select specific asset classes for group assets via the config.
and you can set default dep keys at asset class level. via config. (maintain dep keys for dep area 15)
Please check and revert back.
Thanks,

Assets: synchronising two depreciation areas which post to G/L
Hi All,
For assets, I've three depreciation areas:
- Book depreciation (posts to general ledger),
- Spec.tax depreciation (posts to general ledger)
- Cost-accounting depreciation.
I have to make the depreciation posting in first and second areas synchronised. For example, If, for a ceratin asset, I set a percentuage depreciation of 10% in the Book depreciation area, and a percentuage depreciation of 10% in the Spec.tax depreciation area, I expect that the depreciation process lasts 5 years.
How could I obtain this way to do?
Thanks
GandalfHi Gandalf,
Use transactions OABD and OABC to achieve your purpose. In transaction OABD depreciation terms in the given depreciation area can be transfered to another depreciation area. In transaction OABC - one depreciation area adopts the value of another depreciation area.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Negative values should not be allowed for fields
Hello Gurus,
I have a table and right now the feilds f1 and f2 are allowing negative values to be stored as they are of type char4, now that i dont want those feilds to allow negative values. i am using these feilds in the feild catalog in the ALV as a result when the coloumn is editable, the user may enter negative values, which i dont wnat to allow it now. what will be hte best possible solution.
thanks in advanceHello,
You can set this in the domain itself.
Please check this SAP documentation:
Output with sign: If fields that refer to this domain can contain negative values, the Sign flag must be set. When the field contents are output to the screen, the first output location is reserved for a sign. If the flag is not set but the field contains negative values, problems could occur when outputting to the screen. Entries can only made in this field for data types DEC, FLTP, QUAN and CURR.
