Unity Connection 8.6.2 report error and issues

Hello,
I found some other hits on this error and tried the workarounds (restarting tomcat, and report data harvester) but am still getting "Unable to find any report data based on parameter(s)" for a certain timeframe on multiple reports when I know activity occurred in that timeframe.
User Phone login report, Outcall Billing Detail Report, others.
CUC version is 8.6.2.20000-2
Problem is during this timeframe someone dialed into system and changed the transfer extensions to various LD numbers throughout an entire day and the reports aren't showing these outcalls. Call Manager CDR data show the calls being placed from Unity VM ports and the Unity Conversation Manager traces I grabbed for the timeframe show the calls to those numbers to.  I'm just trying to match up with a report and figure out if there is some other log or trace file I can look to determine for sure the caller logged in to the voicemail box and changed the transfer extension on it. (guessed the voicemaill password). The failed log in report doesn't even show the failed login attempt in output from traces below. The transfer extension dest addr was different on the transfers on this same mailbox.  Have locked down the system since but want to get better grip on this with the reports and traces.
I looked over the CUC 8.6.2 SU1 and SU2 release notes and not seeing any resolved bugs for these matters either.
Here are some samples lines from Conversation Manager traces:

Hello ebergquist,
As advised we could try to run a report before an upgrade was performed to verify if it will pull the information, which in the event it does we would be matching the bug, therefore access the CUC CLI and type the following command:  file get install *
You will be required to have an SFTP available for the file transfer and port 22 open on the sftp client.
Once you receive the files you would need to check system-history.log, below is an example.
=======================================
Product Name -    Cisco Unity Connection
Product Version - 8.5.1.12900-7
Kernel Image -    2.6.9-89.0.20.EL
=======================================
02/24/2013 13:35:02 | root: Boot 8.5.1.12900-7 Start
02/24/2013 16:03:45 | root: Install 8.5.1.12900-7 Success
Once you check the  time stamp and date of the upgrade try to gather a report for a time range before the upgrade was performed, even though they might be overwritten, there still could be a possibility that it succeeds.
If this bug is not the issue then you might want to take into consideration:
1. Make sure that the service ReportDB is [STARTED] in the output of the command: utils service list.
2. If you have Digital Networking on your server make sure there is no stalled replication. Go to RTMT (Real Time Monitoring Tool)> Syslogs> Select on the dropdown your server> Doble click on Application logs> CiscoSyslog. You can then do a manual search or sort with the filter option:
Severity: Error
App ID: CuReplicator
Hit apply. Below is an example:
Date: Feb 19 08:01:15
Machine Name: LAB1111
Severity: Error
App ID: CuReplicator
Message: : 1151681: LAB1111.corpnet2.com: Feb 19 2013 08:01:11.662 UTC :  UC_UCEVNT-3-EvtReplicatorStalledReceiveReplication  %[ClusterID=][NodeID=LAB1111]: Detected stalled replication receiving from location LAB1111. Waiting for missing USN 2222. This situation may indicate network connectivity problems.
3.Make sure that replication is working properly in the cluster. You can check them via the following commands:  showcuc cluster status    and   utils dbreplcation runtimestate
For the TransferEx that you state changed to ceros ->  TransferEx=0x00000000=S_OK , this is just a hexadecimal value that is returned stating that the transfer that took place during the call was successful, in this case the actual transfer was to the following destination -> TransferEx destAddr='715551231234', and was during a call to ->calledID='555123' , this does not have to do with the actual change of a transfer number performed by a user.
Those traces won't be enough you will have to additionally set: ConvSub, level 3   and  CDE, level 16 so that you may see output in the traces as the example posted in the previous thread.
Traces would be the path to follow in order to verify the user that changed the transfer rule, as this is as i understand the goal your pursuing.
However if it is of any help, another way to get on hold of the numbers that were updated on the Transfer Rule is to use the User Data Dump tool, this information reflects changes regardless of whether it was done via TUI (Telephone User Interface) or GUI (Graphic User Interface). For more information on the tool go to:
http://ciscounitytools.com/Applications/CxN/UserDataDump/Help/UserDataDump.htm
Traces are extensive to be reviewed if done manually, however you can do a text search with a tool as Notepad ++ to look for keywords as "NewTransferNumber =" or "CDE,16,Transfer allowed", once you find this you check the call GUIDwhich is the reference number of the call and that exists during the entire length of the call, whether it is while a person is leaving a voicemail or the user is accessing his/her's inbox.  This would speed up your search.
So as explained in the first thread you would then do another text search returning all possible matches with that callGUID.
Now if you get to the very beginning of the call you would see something like:
Line 13712: 18:58:05.156 |24720,CCIE-1-001,0C9C97BDF5F444F0B535D231C32DDCB4,Arbiter,-1,Incoming Call [callerID='2199' callerName='' calledID='6789' redirectingID='' lastRedirectingID='' reason=1=DirectlastReason=1024=Unknown] port=CCIE-1-001 portsInUse=1 ansPortsFree=1callGuid=0C9C97BDF5F444F0B535D231C32DDCB4
In this example you see my test user callerID='2199'  calling the Pilot number 6789 which is the voicemail button
calledID='6789, and the what type of call is it whether Forward or Direct, when logging to voicemail you are going to see Direct which is going to match the Direct Routing Rules and send the call to the attempt sign in conversation.
The other approach is a rule out method between the Audit traces and the User Data Dump tool.
So let's say you have a baseline document that states all of the Transfer numbers for all users.
If the User Data Dump reflects a different number and the Audit logs do not show any change, starting from the time the baseline was created and the point of time where the number was changed, then you could deduce the change was done via TUI (Telephone User Interface). Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to tell who did the change in this case.
Nevertheless, remember that a user may have for example an Alternate Extension so the change might not necessarily be done from the office phone: "Alternate extensions can make calling Cisco Unity Connection from an alternate device—such as a mobile phone, a home phone, or a phone at another work site—more convenient. When you specify the phone number for an alternative extension, Connection handles all calls from that number in the same way that it handles calls from a primary extension (assuming that ANI or caller ID is passed along to Connection from the phone system). This means that Connection associates the alternate phone number with the user account, and when a call comes from that number, Connection prompts the user to enter a PIN and sign in."

  • Vista got corrupt after power failure. sfc reports error and Event log service is unable to start itself.

    Hi,
After a sudden power failure, I guess vista file system is corrupt.   I am able to start vista in normal mode, but it seems there are errors like Event Log service unable to start itself,  when I start IE, it closes automatically ,
Norton antivirus does not start itself.  and so on.
After Bing search, I went to safe mode and executed sfc /scannow and it reported error as below.
"Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them"
Unfortunately I am unable to upload log file, so I am pasting CBS.log content here....   Please advice.
Some parts of logs are removed due to limit of 60000 characters.
    Please advice.

  • Unity Connection 8.5(x), single inbox, and smartphones

If the customer sets up the following environment:
Unity Connection 8.5(x) WITH SECURE MESSAGING
    Single Inbox with Exchange 2010
    Customer has smartphones (blackberry, etc).
We're trying to figure out if this is set up, will the smart phones be able to play the voicemail message or not?  Based on what I see, I'm thinking they may not, but would love to hear from someone with eyes and ears back in the BU.
    Cliff

They would not be able to play the message. From the Unified Messaging Guide:
To play secure Connection voice messages in the Exchange mailbox, users must use Microsoft Outlook and Cisco Unity Connection ViewMail for Microsoft Outlook. Without ViewMail for Outlook installed, users accessing secure voice messages see only text in the body of a decoy message; the text briefly explains secure messages.
In other words, the Blackberry phones don't have ViewMail and can only see the decoy message.

  • Im trying to use itunes and it keeps saying i need quicktime when downloading it stops install and reports error and to go to windows/installer/quicktime.msi

Im trying to download itunes it says i need quicktime that keeps coming up with error saying to go to c;/windows/installer/quicktime.msi what does this mean

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATION" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up").
In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC. Now try another QuickTime install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Cant sync songs- numerous errors and issues- anyone up for a challenge?

okay so first a bit of backstory
So about a month ago i downloaded the new itunes (10) for windows.
It could have been connected to it and could not have been, but my 160GB ipod classic started going funny. it will skip songs halfway when playing them, and not play other songs.
So i decided to try and restore it, going by the book. so i first took out all of my extra stuff i had on it (I have been using it as a storage hard drive for pictures and movies round 10gigs) and restored it.
However, when i tried to resync it with itunes, it would only sync to about half way through, and say Itunes could not sync (name of song) to the ipod (ipod name) because the file cannot be read or written. alternatively, because an unknown error has occured (-50). so i will only have about half the songs (usually less) on my ipod or non at all.
    I tried these solutions :
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1539 and tried resetting the ipod, restoring the ipod several times and reinstalling itunes but non helped.
all i got was more problems, such as sometimes when i plug it ,my computer will also pop up with a message saying "windows was unable to save all the dad for the file F:, the data has been lost. this error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. please try to save this file elsewhere"
and "The specified I/O operation on \Device\harddisk1\DR9\ was not completed before the time out period expired.", together with the old ones.
also comes up "The Ipod (name of ipod) could not be synced. a duplicate filename was specified" and a few other varieties of these messages.
so evil ipod 1 itunes support 0
would anyone like to take the challenge of trying to help me????

While you may have got away with skipping the disk checks for some time it is there for a reason. iTunes may well decline/be unable to properly restore a disk which is in an inconsistent state. Have you yet checked via diagnostics mode (see link my earlier post to this thread) to see what the SMART stats are for your drive?
To check your disk for consistency connect your iPod and open a command prompt (Start > Run > CMD) and enter ChkDsk X: /R where X is the drive letter of the iPod. (If it doesn't have one disconnect, stick it in disk mode and reconnect) This will perform a full scan of the drive which attempts to read & write to every sector. Depending on how the drive & the operating syetem handle things it may that no "bad" sectors will be detected during the scan, but any that can't be reliably accessed should be added to the "pending sector" count. Following the disk scan you should again check the stats (see earlier link) to see where things stand. Restoring the iPod via iTunes should release the pending sectors so they can be taken out of service and become reallocated sectors.
With luck there is a fixed number of problem sectors and once these are mapped out your iPod will behave normally. Worst case is that the drive is deteriorating with use which would be apparent if repeated attempts to restore and populate the drive leads to increasing values of pending & reallocated sectors.

  • Robotics error and issue within SL24 Tape library with Solaris 10

    Dear All,
Kindly may any one help me with this issue or at least give me a hint about where to begin thinking about the solution from
I have a tape library SL24 which is attached to the server V240 my backup server on which the robotics is not seen by the veritas net backup and when I try some commands like
    #sgscan
    the robotics isn't discovered
the Veritas docs says that this is issue is related to the Solaris OS
so can any one give me what are the possible causes to that error ?
knowing that there is no zoning in this datacenter

Did this configuration of your V240 and the SL24 ever work?
Here's the documentation for the SL24:

Here's the documentation for the V240:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19088-01/v240.srvr/index.html
I have a tape library SL24 which is attached to the server V240 ,,, attached to what? I don't think the integrated SCSI port is compatible and therefore you'll need to buy and install an appropriate HBA for the computer.

  • Pop Ups, Silverlight, Windows like errors and issues last coup

A couple of weeks ago while at a hotel, I kept not being able to connect to wifi and receiving message saying my IP address was in use and to create another one or try again later.  I also did an update to yosemite as well as a silverlight update that I had pushed off for months.
Since the updates, My home page when opening google chrome is set to google, but after I close it, it goes to a trovi.com site even though I have gone to google settings and check that google is the only site it is to open too, somehow this trovi.com keeps coming back  and is nothing but adds and starts with pop ups and system warnings like on windows laptops.  I also receive a message and phone number to call indicating I'm at risk.  What is going on?  I own an apple because I don't want to deal with windows crap
Other issue is my silverlight plugin, since updating it crashes, so I disable but then can't use all the features that go with the program i am trying to use.
Everything worked fine 2 weeks ago

  • Cisco Unity Connection single inbox and viewmail error

Unity Connection 8.5.1 single inbox with Exchange 2010 and viewmail 8.5.4.  We arein the process of migrating from Unity 7.0.2 to Unity Connection.
We are a lawfirm and many of our admins have full access to their attorney's exchange mailbox to manage their messages and voicemails.  With Connection those admins can no longer access voicemails in exchange accounts other than their own even if they have full access.
A message pops up stating "the requested voice message is no longer available" and only dead air is played whether playback via phone or speakers is selected.  This is a huge issue for our end users.
Has anyone else experienced this or hav eany suggestions for a work around?
I have tried assigning the mailbox access delegation role to an end user but this did not grant access via vewmail.
    Thanks
    Liz

    Hi Liz,
This is expected behavior because VMO has certain dependencies mapped between users and messages, so when a different user tries to access the message, it can't find the mapping which is why you receive that message.  However, VMO 8.6(4) introduced the ability for this exact group mailbox access feature you're after.

  • Unity Connection LDAP Error

I'm trying to setup a Unity Connection server with an LDAP directory and when I save the configuration I get this error message:
Error while Connecting to  ldap://172.16.1.2:389, null
The UCONN server is connecting to a Windows 2000 DC running Exchange 2003.
I think I'm missing something simple but I'm not sure what.
    Thoughts?

    Hi,
Sounds like you may either have an incorrect IP address and/or port # for your DC or GC.  Port 389 for a Domain Controller, and if the server is a Global Catalog, you'll need port 3268.  Another possibility is that port 389 may be blocked by some sort of ACL or firewall.  I would try the port change first and re-verify your IP address and if that doesn't get you anywhere, setting up a network capture to see what may be happening during the bind request is your next step.
    Hope that helps,
    Brad

  • Counting number of errors and generating a report

    Hi All
I am fairly new to PL/SQL and I have a bit of a problem that I can't work out.
What I need to do, is take a file that has a 6-digit store code, and a corresponding date, that indicates that the store made a particular error on that date. That table only has 2 columns, the STOREID and ERRORDATE. If a particular store did not make the error, they will not be included in this table.
This table is provided to me monthly, .CSV format which i can import and place in a table with no problems.
I also have another "master" table that contains a list of all the store codes, and their corresponding name & address details, so something like MASTERID (number), STORENAME, ADDRESS1, ADDRESS2, ADDRESS3 ( all varchar2(200)). STOREID will be included somewhere in the MASTERID column.
I need to check each store and see if it has made the error. If it has, it needs to be placed in a table which is then used to issue an error noice. The part I'm finding difficult, is that if the store has made the same error in the past 3 months, it needs to be placed in a table so it can be issued a 'second notice' and if it has made the error twice previously in the past 6 months it needs to be placed in another table to be issued a 'final notice'.
So I somehow need to keep track of which stores have made the error for the past 6 months and then check against it to see if it should be a first, second or third notice. I thought of using another table, call it HISTORY, with the columns STOREID and ERRORDATE, which indicates the store id code and the date the error was made
The way I thought of doing it was to use the MASTERID column from the master detail table, and check each store code against the provided monthly file (STOREID). If it is in there, check the past 6 month history, count the number of previous errors and issue the notice accordingly IE-
Store code is in the monthly file but not found in the previous 6 months in HISTORY - first notice, put store code and date into HISTORY table
Store code is in the monthly and found ONCE in the previous 6 months in HISTORY - second notice, put store code and date into HISTORY table
Store code is in the monthly file and TWICE in the previous 6 months in HISTORY - third notice, put store code and date into HISTORY
Store code is in the monthly file and THREE+ times in the past 6 months in HISTORY - put store code into a table for further action, put store code and date into HISTORY
If anyone could help it would be appreciated! I will be using this in Application Express, just as an anonymous pl/sql block, and I really am not sure how to do it.
Importing and exporting .CSV files from tables is not an issue, that part I can do.
The versions are ApEx 3.0.1 and Oracle 10g 10.2
    Thanks

  • How to delete users in unity connection

    hello all,
I have a unity connection cluster on version 7.1.3 and a cucm cluster on version 7.1.3
when i try to delete a user in unity connection I get the following error
This user is integrated with a Cisco Unified Communications Manager end user. Some fields may be disabled.
I deleted the user in cucm, however the user is still in Unity connection and i can't delete it,
what's the best way to delete a user ?
    thank you
    Cris

When the CUCM End User is deleted, the corresponding CUC user should  automatically be deleted as well. Sometimes this isn't the case and the  CUC user still exists and cannot be deleted due to other database hooks.
First you will need to find the ObjectId for the user that you want to remove from Connection:
run cuc dbquery unitydirdb SELECT ObjectId from vw_User WHERE Alias = 'alias of the user you want to delete'
Now you will want to delete that user as such (this will fail if there are database hooks still on the orphaned user):
run cuc dbquery unitydirdb EXECUTE PROCEDURE csp_UserDelete (pObjectId = 'objectid from above')

  • Unity Connection 1.2(1) which has SCCP ports with CallManager 8.5(1)SU1.

For 24 hours I’d like to run Unity Connection 1.2(1) which has SCCP ports with CallManager 8.5(1).  Unity Connection 1.2 isn’t supported anymore, we are migrating to Unity Connection 8.5(1) but I wanted to do CallManager 4x to 8x upgrade the first night, and Unity Connection 1.2 to 8.5 upgrade the second night. All new hardware so using DMA and COBRAS.
I'm not looking for it to be "Supported" just want it to work 24 hours while migrating...
Unity Connection 1.x Compatability Matrix will likely never show CallManager 8.5 since UC 1.x is EoL

The primary factor in the integration here for SCCP is the TSP version.  You can verify the version of TSP running on Unity Connection with the procedure noted here:  http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/1x/release/notes/121sr2ucrn.html#wp37944
It's a Windows box so the procedure is the same as with standard Unity.  Check the properties of AvSkinny.tsp in the \Windows\System32\ folder path.
If you don't care about official support and it's only temporary then I'd say check to ensure that TSP is fairly recent and, if needed, upgrade to the latest release available for install on CUC 1.2(1).  Run a number and tests and make sure 1) things function as expected and 2) you don't get a load of TSP errors in the system/application logs.
Cisco notes that product support is based primarily on testing and since Unity Connection 1.2(1) is outdated and CUCM 8.5(1) is brand new, it's not likely that this combination will be tested anytime soon ... but the TSP compatibility between 8.0 and 8.5 is likely to be similar if not the same.

  • Unity Connection 8.6 call transfer to non-unity extension

I have converted from Unity to Unity Connection and am looking for a solution for transferring an incoming call to a non-unity user extension.
Here is the scenario:  An PSTN caller calls in and is directed to a Unity Connection Call Handler or a Subscriber greeting.  In the greeting they are advised that if they know the extension they want to call, they can dial it at any time.  Here is the rub, if they dial an extension for a user listed in Unity Connection, the call gets transferred to the extension.  However, if the extension dialed is to an extension that is not a Unity Connection User, the attendant comes back and say the extension is not understood.
In Unity before conversion, I would make an internet user that did not have a mailbox but was listed with an extension.  However, with Unity Connection, I am using LDAP integration with Microsoft AD and I don't see a method of doing the same thing.
Is anyone else doing something like this or know of a method to do it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Gene Keel

In the greeting check this box:
Allow Transfers to Numbers Not Associated with Users or Call Handlers
also make sure the number entered by the call is allowed in Default System Transfer restriction table.

  • Unable to load report error

    Hi
This started with an asp.net application which I have been maintaining for several years, on an XP 32-bits box. Alas, the box died, and I have acquired a new Development machine, now with Windows 7/64-bits. I have installed Visual Studio 2010 and Crystal reports (13.0.,9), including runtime for 32 and 64 bits.
I got the "unable to load report" error, and I think I have tried everything I could find on the web related to solving this issue.
Finally I got Down to creating a new dummy asp.net application with a dummy report just displying the text TEST. This report Works fine when run from within VS, but if I deploy it to the web server on the Development machine I also get the unable to load report failure.
I believe this is a configuration issue. The application has run fine for years, I just can't get it to Work on the new development machine.
    Please help
