Virtualization of Business Attendant Console

Hello
Somebody knows if i can virtualize the application of business attendant console, working in the same physical server with other application as wireless control system, doesn't??
I would appreciate any help with regard to it.
Best regards,
Alexis Munoz

There's no technical limitation prevent you from doing that.  But you'd better check with Cisco for supportability.  ie. you might lose Cisco TAC support on virtualization environement.

  • Unified Business Attendant Console not syncing user directory

I have a customer that has CallManager 8.6.1 along with the Unified Business Attendant Console 8.6.1.9.  They are not syncing their user directory with LDAP.  All end users are put in manually via the CCMAdmin page.  This system has been in place since January.  In the past few months, around eight or so new users have been added to call manager, but they were not showing up int the attendant console.  I tried everything from restarting services to eventually restarting the server and the new users finally showed up.  I thought the reboot had fixed the issue, however I had them add a new user to call manager and even after waiting a few hours the new user did not show up.  This is my first time dealing with the attendant console server so any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you have setup a schedule in the WebAdmin for the sync to run, I normally set a schedule of running this Every 1 day at 02:00, this is when the sync will be done and the new users will show.
Restarting the server is forcing a new sync, this should not be needed if the schedule is configured correctly.

  • Business Attendant Console Client License

    Dear All,
I have a license for CUBAC Server and the software is fully activated to full version. However my CUBAC client is still on evaluation mode. Do I need a seperate license for the CUBAC Client?
    Thanks.

I have met on this before.
Can't remember exactly but if you restart the client workstation and it doesn't fix the problem try to reinstall the client and see if the evaluation goes away.
But definately you do not need a license for the client seperately.

  • Unified Attendant Console - License and Remote Site

I need  an Attendant Console solution for a 6 site IPT design.  I have CUCMBE at the corporate site with 5 remote locations.  I want to have an Attendant Console in each location.  I was going to use the Business Attendant version, but  see it only support 3 Queues, thoguht I had read it was 6 queues, so I guess I need to go with the Enterprise version.
    1.  To support 6 active clients, I need to order 6 licenses at $2950.00?  Seems awful expensive compared to the old Attendant Console...
    2.  Queues would need to be created for each site, Business only has 3, but Enterprise has 50?

Hehe Chris, you're right. I've always thought that this is only the language for the installation details, but I've just tried it on my PC.
    Thanks a lot.

  • Cisco Unified Attendant Consoles for Be6000

    Hi
I would like to know if there is limitation in teh directory sync from Cucm, ex, do the user need to have a directory number to be synced.
I have a setup and right now I have about 100 users but only 2 users have a directory number and these are the only 2 users I can see in attendant console, but in Cucm users I can see all the suers.
    Regards Bjørn

    Bjorn,
It depends on the CUAC Edtion and the source you are using.
If you are using Departmenr, Business or Enterprise Edition then the sync is done with the CUCM and therefore the telephone number field against End Users must be populated in order for the contact to be seen in the CUAC directory.
This is the same for Premium Edition if syncing with CUCM but you can also sync directly with AD, in this case the telephone number field or IP Phone field (or whatever field you are using to pull through the contact number) must be populated.
I agree with your point about there being a use case for people in the directory without a telephone number, I will raise this with the product team and request an enhancement.

  • High Available Attendant console for BE6K?

    Hi Arun and team,
Where is it documented whether or not BE6K supports the new release 9.0 High Available Premium Attendant console?
The BE6K data sheet says supports "Cisco Unified Attendant Consoles" and then gives a specification of 500 max users and 12 attendants (implying Business Attendant) and that cant be right since BE6K supports 1000 users.
The Data Sheets for the Attendants dont really say if they are compatible with BE6K.In fact, the CUEAC implies it wouldnt work on BE6K since its says it needs 'specs based support'
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucmac/arc/CUACDE_Rel_N_9_0_1_10.pdf
This should be an easy thing to find ;-(
Anyone know where I can find it?
    Thanks,
    Steve

May I suggest kindly cleaning up the documentation so that this is laid out clearly to all of us. This one gives you the impression no change is to be made to the OVA no matter what the console is.
    http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Business_Edition_6000_OVA/OVF_Templates#Unified_Attendant_Consoles
Then we move to the data sheet
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps11369/data_sheet_c78-638921.html
Cisco Unified Attendant Consoles is designed specifically for customers with a maximum of 500 IP phones and 12 operators concurrently logged in
So does that mean even if you have premium we can only do 500 Phones and 12 operators? That doesn't sound right.
Next I have this deck from Cisco that says only 25 operators supported. Screen shot attached. So what are the maximums for each type of console supported by the BE6K BU(CUB, CUD, CUE and CUPAC)
    Thanks

  • Setting up attendant console for spa525g

I am trying to set up my attendant console (spa500) for my spa525g. We use intermedia.net as our hosted pbx and they are not willing to help on this issue. I have tried and tried to set it up and i keep getting the same errors. See attachments for settings. I know there are inconsistencies with the settings but that is because I was trying different settings to see if any of them worked. Can someone please help me out with this?
    Thanks!

  • Attendant Console "failed to make a new call" error.

I have a problem with the error message "Failed to make a new call" in multiple instances with Attendant Console. The first time this error comes up is if the first hunt group member does not answer the call and it goes to the next member. It only displays on the first member console. If I change the hunt group order, it still comes up on whomever is first on the list. This message also comes up whenever any Console user makes an invalid call which is expected but irritating to the users.
Can I disable these error messages completely? It is highly annoying since these error messages can stack up and have to be cleared by pressing "OK" before the user can click on the screen again.
TAC has not resolved the first error yet but everything works fine.

    Hi Luigi,
Thanks for the update. Even i had opened a TAC. In my case, we have configured Hunt Pilot, from where the call is routed to the members in the hunt group. But TAC says that the Attendant console never uses HUNT PILOT to take calls. So it has to be PILOT POINT which has to be configured for Attendant console to take calls.
We had configured in this fashion, because the AC stops working often. Even though it shows, 'activated in the control center. Manually the service has to be restarted on all the nodes. And all the callers will get busy tone when they try reaching the reception.
As an action plan, we need to revert to PILOT POINT configuration and do the testing again. So If found that the pop-up is not coming anymore, then TAC will work on fixing the AC service failing issue.
Hope this helps and will keep you posted on the updates.
    Regards,
    Karthikeyan.

  • Attendant Console Forward status

In AC (CM 4.1), it does not properly show their forward status. Only some extensions are accurately displaying wether the phone is forwarded to a cell phone, VM, etc. I reset the Telephony Call Dispatcher service, and the firewall is locally disabled. Any other ideas?

Attendant Console does not show phone status of Call Forward All
    Feature request
Customer wants to request the feature of showing the phone status of Call Forward All on
the Attendant Console client screen. So that the operator can desire what to do before
    call transfer.
So, business unit team has mentioned that this is an expensive operation since database
queries have to be run and hence the compromise is as follows:
    1. This will only be shown in the directory window and
    2. When the number of entries displayed is <= 10
You may check the TCD detailed traces to see if Call status is being sent to us

  • Unified Communications Attendant console: queue does not show in the client

    Hello,
I have Cisco Unified Attendant Console - Department Edition 9.1.1.10 in conjunction with CUCM 9.1.1.
My problem is that when I login with the operator account to the client the queue does not show up as expected.
I have configured the queue, synchronized with CUCM, i can see it in CUCM under device/CTI route point, i have associated the queue to the operator in user configuration queue association.
but when i login as the opeartor to the client i can not see it.
    any help is apreciated.
    thanks

    Hi,
This is working correctly, as you can only associated a single queue (department), this is not displayed in the operator console client.
You only see the queue list in Business, Enterprise or Premium Edition.

  • CME attendant console "lite" application?

Does anyone know of Windows-based software that will act as a busy lamp field for up to 100 phones in a CallManager Express environment and (as a secondary requirement) provide simple attendant console capabilities?
We are running a trial of Arc Solutions' ArcExpress software, and while it looks to be excellent software, it's overkill for this install. It's very restrictive on how the receptionist's phone must be configured, and it pretty much requires you to use the PC to handle all calls.
There are 75+ phones in this office, so a couple of 7914's wouldn't be enough.
    Thanks

Standby, I'm working on something. I would appreciate if you can send me the requirements to the email address in my profile.

  • IP Phone call forward to Attendant Console - reach Attendant Console Voicemail

    Hello,
I have an old Attendant Console based on CUCM7.1(5) with CUC 9.
Most of my user have voice mail box.
My issue is following: Users forward there phone to AC pilot point during lunch time or meetings.
When a call is then transfered to Attendant Console, if it is not answered, it is redirected to Unity connection and reach User Voice Mail box.
This is the good way of working for all users (to reach first redirect number mailbox), but my customer wants in the particular case of calls forwarded to standard, to reach standard voice mail box.
    How can we achieve this?
If I setup a Translation Pattern on CUCM to translate a dummy number into attendant console Pilot Point number, and forward user to this dummy number, does Translation Pattern replace the first redirect number?
    Thanks for your help.
    Thibaut

It is likely that they are transferring a call to the operator on a line they are not logged into instead of the queue.
All calls should be routed through the queue in order to receive full CTI control of that call, I would suggest you create a speed dial with the DN of the CTI Route Point for the operators queue and then transfer the call to that instead of the operator directly, this way the call sits in the queue with any other callers.

  • Attendant Console 6.1.2 (yeah, I know it is unsupported)

So knowing full well that this is an unsupported software, I am reaching out anyway.  I find myself in a pickle at my new company.  We are still running Call Manager 6.1.5.11900-13 (don't ask) and we have many users using Attendant Console.
Last week, the line status of all the consoles changed to blue question marks.  The phone control function of the application works great, just no line status.
We have restarted AC and CTI services on entire cluster, pointed the AC clients to multiple servers for testing, and uninstalled and reinstalled the AC client.  Tonight we are punting and rebooting the Publisher.
Anyone out there unfortunate enough to be running this, and maybe have a suggestion to fix?
A suggestion to upgrade would be sound, but won't be happening for now.
    Commence the laughing!

They usually do not simply "die" like this.  Id check for any replication issues with your cluster first off.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a00809643e8.shtml
Next, I would simply build an entire new AC in CUCM and try to use this one.  I have had luck in the past with this where the only way I could get it to work was to delete everything off it that AC used.  Pilot points, RPs, etc.  Then rebuild it.Sounds odd, yes.
I find it odd though it stopped working with no changes in the network, CUCM configurations, etc.

  • How to identify inbound location on a centralized Attendant Console?

I'm trying to find a way to be able to identify for our centralized receptionists the location of the inbound calls.
We have 16 sites set up with Cisco routers as h323 gateways each pointing all incoming calls to the main phone line to a separate AC pilot point in CCM 4.13sr3b. Is it possible to have the dialpeer put some sort of description tag that the receptionists can see on attendant console when the call comes in that says where/which site this phone call is coming in from? Or display the queue it is coming in on?
Any ideas on this would be appreciated. I'm trying to avoid going down the IPCC path to provide this functionality since Cisco won't support IPCC and attendant console running simultaneously.
Bottom line is we have a multi site CM deployment where all inbound calls going to a central group of folks running attendant console and we need to be able to discern which pilot point or voice gateway the call is coming in on.
I appreciate any thoughts on this!!
    Ryan

One way to do this if you don't care about the caller ID of the calling party, would be to tranform the calling number to DN of the Pilot DN by using Translation Patterns. Basically the GW's CSS would not have access to the AC Pilot, but to a TP that transforms the calling party and redirects to the AC Pilot.
    HTH, please rate all posts!

  • Attended Xfer on A SPA500S 32 Button Attendant Console

I have a CISCO 504G with a SPA500S 32-Button Attendant Console.  I had this all configured just the way I like it, when I had to remove the Attendant Console for a recent move.  Now I have my console all programed with all my speed dials (employee extensions and cell numbers) but I can't transfer a call.  When I called my VoIP carrier, Vocalocity, they said it can't be done.  When I first got my sidekick, they told me the same thing.  I then called Cisco and they told me exactly how to configure it to be able to perform an Announced transfer so I know its possible.  I need to be able to let my employee know who is calling before I transfer the call.  Can anyone help me?

We just installed an new system with the SPA508g phones and the SPA 500s Side Car and are having the same monitoring issues. We have notified our support and they have been tweeking our system quite a  bit. If this is a known issue why is CISCO not resolving it. Does CISCO monitor these forums?
