XI Page Header conditional suppression not exporting to editable RTF

I have a report that I don't want the page header to print on the first page (using the report header instead). It works great exporting to everything except editable RTF.
If i have a suppression condition on the page header, it doesn't print on any of the pages on the rtf. If I have no suppression, it prints on each page (including the first). Is this 'by design'? Is there a work around? Is it slated for a future enhancement? Bug Fix? I can't find any information on this situation. I'm assuming it's similar to the 'Page # of #' problem.
The customer insists on an editable RTF... as they want to edit it before sending it out to their customers!
If anyone has any ideas, knowledge, workarounds... I'd love to hear about it! Thanks!

Here is a workaround that I just tried and it works:
1. Create a "FakeGroup" formula:
WhileReadingRecords;
2. Insert Croup by "FakeGroup" formula
3. Move it to the top grouping level
4. Go to Options in Group Expert and click Repeat Group Header On Each Page
5. Go to Section Expert and conditionally suppress Group Header 1 (onfirstrecord)
6. Move all content of your Page Header to Group Header1
7. Suppress Page Header

Hi Steven,
the database kernel checks with every read the header trailer. If it got a mismatch during read the error message you got is logged.
The same checkes will be executed when you create a backup. You told us that the backup could be executed without any errors and that the system where you created the backup is ok as well -> you executed a Check data?
Now everything looks like the error is in the backup and happened during writies to the external backup medium. Or the backup is ok and then the error happens during read from the external medium.
To get closer to the reason where the problem is located I need to have some more information.
1. You did the restore several times?
2. Did the bad Data Page shappens always on the same page -> Check knldiag.err
3. Did you do your backup on tape?
4. Did you try to create a backup into a file?
5. Does the restore from file got the error as well?

I created reports in Visual Studio 2008 with crystal reports basic, i then upgraded to Crystal reports 2008 so i could be able to export them as EditableRTF. My first problem was i could not open my reports in VS 2008 anymore, but i do open them in The CR 2008 IDE. My problem now is when i export my reports my report header appears underneath my page header and my page number stays one. I noticed this happens when i export a report as EditableRTF.How can i Export my report to be editable without having this problems?
using cr 2008 v1 (for cr server) i was not able to reproduce this issue when exporting to RTF.
when exporting to Word, Editable, i can see this issue. mostly because the word export has the cr page header info going into the word page header.
as the word export is essentially an RTF export anyway, i would recommend getting the latest patches / service pack for your cr and the RTF export should be what you're looking for.

You should be getting an error message that PS CS5 requires a higher version of ACR with two options "render using Lightroom" or "open anyway". You should choose the first option. If you are not seeing the error message then go to your Lightroom prefrences >General Tab> under Prompts> select "Reset all warning dialogs", then try the edit in function again.

Cannot export to Editable (RTF) export format Crystal Repor 7

When I try to export the Crystal Report to the RTF format is presented the following error message:
"The Report was not exported. The selected export format may be disable on the server"
Someone knows how to solve it?

Of course, we use Crystal Report 7, the application is based on the web and was developed by ASP, it is on 2 servers, one of them operating normally and the other displays this error, the environments are identical.

Character disappearing in export to editable rtf

When exporting a report to "Microsoft Word (97-2003) - Editable (*.rtf)" from the Crystal Viewer in my .net 4.5 project, any time a field contains just an 'I' it gets left out. When I view it in Word, it appears that [tab]I[tab] is merged into a single tab during the export. Any other export type, it seems to work fine, but the frames make editing the exported report a real pain. If I don't want frames, I don't get to keep the letter I. Anyone have any ideas what this is happening, or how I might get around it.
If you look at the attached image, my problem is on line 33, with a blue box highlighting the actual issue.

That fixed it. Thanks. Kind of feel dumb as that's the kind of solution I would have suggested to someone else, but didn't think of it myself.

Master page: header changes are not reflected in existing topics

A few months ago this forum helped me to troubleshoot and fix problems with the Show More | Show Less command that I inherited from a previous writer. I chose to use the Single Button approach and used this code, on the Master Page, for "onclick":

This worked fine until recently when I changed the logo in the left cell of the header table. Today I discovered that the img src = line had gone away. And so I re-entered it, and it works fine on new topics, and on some, but NOT all topics.

SubReport Data not Exported to Excel Crystal Version10

Hi,
I have a main report and subreport in page header which displays Company Name ,
When I export the report data to excel only the main report data is exported no subreport data is exported.
Please can anyone let me know if this is a bug ... or am I missing out anything.
I am using crystl reports version 10

Hi Rahul
As the subreport is placed in the page header, it will not export the data of the subreport to MS Excel Data only. This is an export limitation.
In order to display the data of the subreport you can either use MS Excel (not Data only) or place the subreport in other sections of the main report.

Can pricing requirement be used for manual header condition

I have a manual header condition ZCR1 which will be entered in a sales document with doc type ZAB1. When this sales document is copied into another sales document ZAB2, I want that the manual header condition ZCR1 is not determined. Can I do this via pricing requirement? Or should I use alternation formula for condition base value and make the value of condition ZCR1 to zero when the document is copied into ZAB2.
Both the document types are using the same pricing procedure. In copy control for all item categories from ZAB1 to ZAB2, pricing type G (Copy pricing elements unchanged and re-determine taxes). ZCR1 is a manual condition in the pricing procedure used.

If you want the ZCR1 manual header condition should not be determined then you need to change the pricing type in the copy control but if you assign a requirement in the pricing procedure for ZCR1 condition type then you cant enter the ZCR1 condition type manually also as you are not meeting your requirement.
Another option is you have to create a new requirement with the help of Technical consultant ans assign it to the header condition type in the pricing procedure requirement feild . giving inputs to your Technical consultant that The condition type should not be determined

Very Urgent--Adding Header condition amount in Net order value of PO

Dear friends,
Our client has following requirement.
---In Purchase order ,Header conditions related to delivery costs are using.
--Currently when we add the header condition,that amount is not adding to the Net order value and not adding to the total value in the PO print document.But proportionaly distributing to the line items.
--Because of this two problems one is not adding to net order so not considered for release strategy,secondas it is not adding in the net order value,header condition amount also is not coming in the total value in the print out.
--Currently, this header amount is splitting and posting seperate line item for GR/IR clearing act in MIGO and MIRO..
I have removed the Statistical tick and accrual tick in IMG, then header amount is adding to the Net order value and adding in the total value in the PO print. But in MIGO/MIRO, This amount is adding to the GR/IR clearing act ,instead of seperate GR/IR line item in MIGO/MIRO documents, But client wants the postings shall be made similar to previous one.
I have checked with removing only Stastical key and not removing the accrual key.But header condition is not adding to Net order value. I have searched for User exits/BAdis,suitable are not found.
How the Header condition amount can be added to the Net order value without removing the Statistical key in IMG.Are there any User exit/BAdis,
Please suggest.

Asper your suggestions i tried as follows.
1) We have got condition types like surcharges/discounts before "Net inc dis"
and Delivery costs/accruals/frieghts after "Net inc dis".
2) My requirement is that whatever conditions types after Net inc dis like Del costs/Frieghts are not included in Net order value in PO,so amount is not included in Release strategy and print.Currently this amount is coming as seperate line itemGR/IR Clearing account in MIGO/MIRO.
3) Asper your suggestion,i tried with Surcharge condition existing before "Net inc Disc"--This is a header condition(Cond.cat is Insurance),but stastical tick is not there in Scema. I tried as it is ,amount is adding in Net order value.But seperate line item for this amount is not coming in MIGO/MIRO
4) When i ticked the accrual key and statistical tick and added Accrual-FR1,then PO created ,amount is not adding in Net order value.
5) When i removed only Stastical tick only even though amount is not adding.
6) When i removed the Accrual tick also i.e both the ticks then only amount is adding in Net order value.But Line item of the header condition is not dispalying as a seperate line item in MIGO/MIRO
For these Header conditions ,seperate line item shall come ,at the same time amount shall add in Net order Vaue for the purpose of including in the amount for Release strategy and print.
Please suggest how to do it.

Automatic PO and automatic header condition determination

Dear all,
We have business transaction where PO is getting created automatically. In real time, user is entering header condition manually, because header conditions are not allowed to have access sequence. It is difficult for users on tracking header condition manual entry details.
Can anyone throw some lights for using routine to have automatic entry of header condition while PO is created automatically ? Which routine to be explored to achieve automation of header condition value in PO ?

Header PO discount, not apportioned to line item

Hi MM Gurus
My client wants to create a multi line item PO and also will like to include the header discount (value based). The client does not want the discount to be apportioned to each line item. He wants the line items to be received and paid at its original cost. Can someone suggest if this can be done and how?
Here is the example:
PO with 3 lines
Line one 100 each @ 25 = $2500
Line two 200 eaxh @ 30 = $6000
Line three 150 each @ 10 = $1500
Header discount = $500
Line items still remain at their actual values. The discount is not applied to line items. Upon LIV, the PO line items received at actual price, but the overall discount adjusted.
Any guidance will be appreciated.

But how about to set the "Condition is used for
statistics" flag V_T683S-KSTAT?
You can set it in your pricing procedure and
for your condition type.
As far as I know, the header condition is not reflected to
the net price.(Though reflected to the "effective price".)
When GR, GR/IR will be from net price.

Header Conditions for New Purchasing Organization

I have configured a new purchasing organization for our company. We have also created new purchasing groups, number ranges and doc types for the new purchasing orga and the related release procedure. However, when we tested our configuration, Header Condition Types in ME21N do not appear. Where can we check or configure it?

Conditional Suppression Page Header

My report contains one subreport placed in RFb. The data in the subreport is unrelated to the data in the primary report, so each report requires its own set of column headers. When printed, the subreport requires at least several page. Subreports have no page header section. In my subreport the column headers are placed in the RH section of the subreport, but these headers do not show up after the first page of the subreport. In addition, the headers in the primary report appear in the subreport, though they are inappropriate.
To workaround this problem I placed the primary report headers into PHa and the subreport headers into PHb, both in the Primary report. I want to use conditional formatting (suppression) to control the appearance of these headers WhilePrintingRecords.
The objective is to suppress PHb until the SECOND page of the subreport. (The subreport has a title page, so that MUST be the first section on page 1 of the subreport). PHa is suppressed AFTER the primary report is done. The last section in the primary report is RFa (or is it? See below).
Using Basic syntax I placed the following formula into RFa of the Primary report.
'Determine last page of Primary report.
WhilePrintingRecords
Global nLastPgSec1 As Number
nLastPgSec1 = PageNumber
Formula = nLastPgSec1
However, I have found that the value of nLastPgSec1 increments by one as each page of the subreport is printed. The only way this can occur is if RFa of the primary report is evaluated with each page, even though the subreport is placed in RFb.
I know this is probably difficult to follow without a visual of the design.
Can anyone tell me how to control the conditional formatting to accomplish what I need?

After a night's sleep I saw my problem. The solution was to set the value of nLastPgSec1 by placing it in the DETAILS section of the primary report (not a report footer). The formula is:
WhilePrintingRecords
Global nLastPgSec1 As Number
If OnLastRecord Then
nLastPgSec1 = PageNumber
End If
Formula = nLastPgSec1

Export excel setting Page header once per report not working

      I am having a java web application which creates the predefined template reports in pdf or xls or rpt format. I have a requirement where in case of XLS format, the page header should be displayed ONCE PER REPORT. I have Crystal Reports XI release 2 and Java 1.5.
    I am setting from java code
     formatType = IReportFormatOptions.CeReportFormat.EXCEL;
     reportFormat.setFormat(formatType);
     IExcelFormat formatExcel = (IExcelFormat)reportFormat.getFormatInterface();
     formatExcel.setExportPageHeaderFooter(IExcelFormat.CeReportExportHeaderFooterOption.ONCE);
I have installed a patch named Excel Export patch which basically sets some registry entries
Set HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal
Reports\Export\Excel\PageAreaExportType to 0 for default behavior, 1 to display no page area, 2 to display page area once per report, and 3 to show the page area once per page.
Set HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal
Reports\Export\Excel\ColumnWidthBaseArea to 0 for default behavior, 4 for column width based on detail
section.
I have set PageAreaExportType to 2 and ColumnWidthBaseArea to 0 and 4.
Still i see the page headers repeating on every page. Could you please help me in resolving the issue?

Currently in our new version of java application, we are not using DHTML viewer. Predefined report templates are published on crystal server and from Java application, we send the report parameters to the crystal and also specify the format type.
Exporting excel from the crystal template is working fine with the page headers repeating only once (have set the page header show once per report option before exporting it to excel). But the same is not happening from the Java application. i have attached the required files to the message that i posted. If you have the access you can take a loot at them.
