Automatic Write-off Document in Dispute Case
Hi,
I was wondering once the dispute case is automatically written off, should the financial document should be updated in the dispute case, because technically the write off document is the resolved object in the dispute case.
When i performed automatic write off, the accounting document is not updated anywhere in linked objects in any sub folder, however the dispute case was confirmed.
Should it update or is there something needs to be done to update in the dispute case?

Thanks for your reply. In auto status changing, I dont have the option other than defining status for automatic reopen, written off and close. I did check the status, but its not relevant.
Here is what I am looking for, the automatic written off accounting document should be available or updated under resolved objects under linked objects.

Write off process in dispute management
Can some body throw more ligght on the write off process in dispute management . Including configuration steps(t-code), level of details / AR-table affected etc.

NikIn order to write-off dispute case appropriate confiuration needs to be done which includes assigning an "Escalation REason" to Write off a dispute case.
This means that you have an option of writing off all dispute cases with a specific Escalation Reason.
The impact of the write off would that the customer invoice is cleared and written off amount is debited to a GL account defined in the configuration. You also have the option of Cost Center to which this amount has to hit to analysis purpose.

When a document is written off using either FP04 or FP04M, a normal write off document is get posted. But in addition to that
we need a statistical document to be get posted in Contract Account for this write off.

Standard functionality - receivable adjustment - handles this scenario better than write off with statistical. Test transactions FPZW (single) and FPRW (mass). Using writeoff with statistical creates much more work, documents and overhead processing.

not understanding customized installation instructions , customized means tailored by user , what does the meaning of customized context here?Some times before patching you need to back some custom files and/or customization done to some files.
Using PAA, You can put these custom instructions.
You said "when you run adpatch with preinstall=y, it checks if all the pre-requistes are met or not" but the same from above link says.You are right, the preinstall=y is used "during an upgrade or consolidated update".

Pre-install mode is generally used during the upgrade process to update AD utilities,
apply family consolidated upgrade patches, or work around other patching issues.
AutoPatch asks all startup questions except those relating to the database.
To run AutoPatch in pre-install mode, include preinstall=y on the AutoPatch command
line. It performs the following actions:
■ Compares version numbers.
■ Copies files.
■ Relinks FND and AD executables.
■ Saves patch information to the file system.
It compares vesion numbers, meaning checks for pre-req and does the required copying.

Dispute Case - Write off multiple cost centers
Hi Experts,
I have a different requirement on automatic writing off of dispute cases. There is one collection specialist who handles multiple location customers. Each location/branch is created as profit center and in each location/branch there are many customers. So if there is a dispute case which needs to be written off for Customer A in Location A, the cost center needs to be A which belongs to Location A, similarly for other locations too, where ever the customers belongs to it needs to written off to that partcular location cost center.
In settings of automatic writesorry experts, fat fingure, accidentally pressed the enter key, here is the continuation of the message.
In customizing for automatic write off, i dont have the option except by person responsible and cost center. Location/branch is also equal to sales office which is assigned to the customer master.
Is there a way we can address this requirement, could you guide which direction i need to move.

Dispute Case:UDM_Dispute Attach document
Dear All
We want to attach document to dispute case. We know attachment function available when someone open the dispute case from inbox but in this way only a person who is assigned as processor can assign the document to dispute case. But if someone other than processor wants to assign any document from UDM_Dispute.

It is fairly simple,
This is done via linked objects.
In the other folder, you can add attachments.
There is config to be defined for the file type i.e. pdf, or xls.
Document types for Attachments for Dispute cases is the config task. -
Post Write-off from Disputes with Approval Process

we want to post write-offs using the dispute escalation process. before the write-offs are posted they need to go for approval. is there any functionality within dispute mgmt which can be leveraged to post write-off from the dispute with approvalHi,
When you set up the escalation proces with reason code write off you can do it in two ways. Set up a Workflow for the approval process. Escalations are specifically meant for that. This is possible with the standard workflow.
If you want to work w/o workflow. Then you can have the responsible person go into UDM_disputes query all specific escalation reason and e.g. change status or maybe create a different escalation reason. (E.g. Write off request/ Write off granted)
You can check if you can change the roles that certain functions can only set certain reasons.

Error - Dispute Case Data Could Not Be Read
I got above error while creating the dispute case in production server.

Thanks, while I create one document for dispute case system is not able to read the document. It is in productive client. we have cluster specific transactions in one cluster we post documents and another cluster dispute cases create. so when I tried to create dispute case in main cluster with ref to document system gives me below error.
Normally we post transctions in G cluster and after posting in G we process dispute case in G cluster and after it open in E cluster for details about dispute case.
Using UDM_DISPUTE transction code for look into dispute cases in E cluster, here we canonot proceed from G to E, In G Cluster we find this error and because of this we unable to create dispute case in E cluster.

FSCM-DM: Status of Dispute Case does not change

I'm facing a problem where i have a few dispute cases created in my worklist and, some of the invoices that are associated with the dispute case, are already paid.
The dispute case already disapear from "Dispute Case" tab but, when i check it again in the "Contact details" tab i notice that the status is still "In Process".
I customized my system like this:
On status Management,
SPRO=>Financial Supply Chain Management=>Dispute Management=>Dispute Case Processing=>Status Management=>Create Status Profile

Test:
I have a test where i created an dispute case and aftwards i paid the invoice.
Result:
The system generated an express mail requesting me to make a subsequent posting so i checked the SBWP transaction and i notice that there was an error and the system indicates to run the program FDM_PROCESS_BUFFER.
So, i run program FDM_PROCESS_BUFFER but i received the message that "Dispute Case 000000000222: Automatic close status 40 is not valid"

Lockbox write-offs and reson codes
Hi
I have been looking at implementing reason codes to apply different gl's for automatic write-off for vendor and customer payments. The tolerances are set and the reason codes and gl's are set, however we want to apply this change for lockbox processing as well. The file we are using is BAI2 and I have been advised that we can get a reason code added by the bank to process these write-off's automatically, however I am looking at the file format and I can't work out which field on the file relates to the reason code, I am not sure the format I have is correct. Can some one please advise the correct BAI2 format and which field should hold the reason code. Also if I then I manage to add a reason code is this the correct approach for differences with lock-box

Is it possible to report off of the dispute case logs?

I use work flow for dispute management to approve a case before writeoff.. currently the process is very manual: the user changes case status to 'routed for approval' which triggers the workflow.. upon approval from the manager, the case is returned to the initiator with an 'Approved' status. When in approved status, the initiator would put an escalation code on the case so it is picked up by the batch job for udm_autowriteoff.
Now I was thinking if there is a way I can run a report off the dispute case logs to see if a user puts an escalation code before the approval..
I'm currently working with SCMG_VLDT_BFR_STR_C (BADI) to check if case status = approved, before saving a case with a value for escalation code... but I was still curious about the reporting option..

Basically I want to cancel and rebill that particular customer whose account has already been written off.

There is no standard transaction for writeoff reversal .
It is only the document that you can reverse through FP08 .

Mass Write Off - When Funds Management is active
Hi All,
I am working for ISU project and we have a business requirment to do Mass Write Off. We are not able to do it as Funds Management is active.
We had to activate Funds management as we need to send fund related information to Peoplesoft, which is the reporting engine for the client.
We are encountering this error:
Write-off over several fiscal years
Message no. FKKFMCHK038
Diagnosis
You are posting a document similar to a write-off that writes off documents from several fiscal years. This is not possible with the transaction used if Funds Management is active.
If anyone can throw some light on how to slove this, it would grealy help me.

The reason can be a commitment item with a wrong financial transaction. Therefore please check
the relevant bank clearing account and the assigned commitment item.
The commitment item should have financial transaction 90 in transaction FMCIA.

important for the described situation.
