E-Recruitment : Talent Pool & Workflows

Hi!
Can some one please guide me with the below queries..
1) does the profiles of unregistered candidate or the candidate who's details have been entered by the data entry clerk become the part of talent warehouse ??
2) can be have a workflow between requester and recruiter ? i mean once a requester raises a requisition it should be approved at two levels and then be seen on recruiter's list ?
Thanks & Regards.....

Hi Sanjay,
Answers to your questions are as below;
1) What the Data entry clerk submits is a application and not a candidate profile. Only when the candidate registers himself and makes his profile available (Candidate Profile in "Released" status), his candidature becomes a part of the talent pool.
2) The requisition workflow is available when E-recruiting services are implemented in MSS. Standard ISR forms SRQ1(Without aspproval) and SRQ2 (With approval scenario) is available which can be used for implementing the workflow. The Standard ISR scenario SRQ2 can be cloned and cutom workflow with multiples levels of approval can be implemented before the Nb - Requisition is available with the Recruiter for releading the requisition and subsequently dong the job posting.
Hope this information helps.

  • E Recruiting- Ex employees into Talent pool

    Hi All
We want to access left employees in the e Recruiting Talent group. We are following two server architecture. Meaning we are a standalone system for e Rec and using ALE to pull the data of employees data (internal candidates) into e Rec.
Is it possible to assign the left employees into alumni? Is it a standard ALE or it is a development?

    Dear Radhika,
Since the employee leaves the company in one country, the candidate belonging to this old personnel number becomes an external candidate. This is important for employees, that are leaving the company
completely, so that their open applications can still be processed and that they can be found in the talent pool in case an appropriate vacancy comes up for them.
So if you distribute your employee using ALE, the employee is only set to inactive if he leaves the company in HR and the flag "inactive" is set in table HRP5102 in E-recruiting then the old personnel number becomes an external candidate.
Hopefully I was able to clarify your request,

    Hello eshwar,
whenever there is this "An internal error occurred, ..." message in sap e-recruiting you should have a look into T-Code SLG1 and check the application log. There you will find additional information.
If you cannot solve the problem with this additional information just post the log information here. Probably someone will be able to help.

  • Internal Error in Search for Candidate in Talent Pool in E-Recruitment

    Hi All,
I've problem in Search in Candidates in Talent Pool in E-Recruitment in SAP E-Recruitment. When I search with text, it just gives internal error. I digged into the BSP Application as well. In the funtion call "SDOK_INDEX_COMBINED_SEARCH_XML" returns error "document area not specified" and raises an internal error. Anyone faced similar issue??? Please Help!!!
    Thx,
    Anand

Well, obviously you never used any component of KPRO yet.
Just upload an attachment onto the candidate's profile.
An index category should automatically be created.
Also generate search profiles and plan the periodical service RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES. You can find the documentation about this report and search profile via IMG.
Also look if HR_KW is checked within transaction SKPR06.

  • E-Recruiting Search functionality for Candidate in Talent Pool

For search functionality of candidates in the talent pool, does anyone have any idea how the ranking percentage is calculated??  There is no clear documentation out there about what factors are used and how they are weighted.  I am aware that additional ranking that can be defined in the configuration and also questionaire results can influence this ranking as well.
However, in the absence of this additional ranking in talent management and questionaire results to job postings, are the selection criteria for the search the only items taken into account for calculation for this ranking percentage?
What is everyone else's experiences in the fact that search functionality tends to treat the various selection criteria as 'OR' conditions?  The client I am working for is unhappy that candidates who don't match every set of selection criteria are being displayed on the hitlist.  Would like to hear what other client's responses has been to this...
    Sandra

Had directed this question to SAP and did not get an adequate response to date with regards to how ranking is calculated.
However, SAP did respond to why search functionality treating the various selection criteria as 'OR' conditions for searching candidates in Talent Pool.  This is due to configuration values in tables T77RCF_SRCH_ATTC and T77RCF_SRCH_ATTR.  The field RANKING must be set to blank value.  SAP delivers this as 'X' - ranking percentage is calculated.  This change now makes the combination of various selection criteria elements as 'AND' conditions, and the ranking percentage is no longer displayed.

  • E-rec: talent pool integration w/ external vacancy board

    Hi,
Our customer is downsizing, which means 6000 employees will lose their jobs in the future. To help these employees find another job, our customer wants their e-recruiting application for internal employees to integrate with an external job postings/vacancies, example MonsterBoard. This way, management and also other employees can search for vacancies outside their business, and give advise/tell on employees what would fit their qualifications. This means that the customers Talent Pool, with all education, work experience and other qualifications,  should be open for external job postings/vacancies.
The integration is two-ways and the two parties must share databases. Mapping of qualification and other vacancy specific data is also a must. I also suspect we face a search engine challenge.
Does anyone have experience on an implementation with functionality as described?
Any competance on the topic is welcome!
    Kind regards,

  • Talent pool creation

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone guide regarding  Talent Pool Creation?
Is it possible in standard configuration or additional complexities are there?
    Regards,
    RK.

    Hi,
you have to logon to Talent Management specialist via enterprise portal. There you can create Talent Pools. It is only possible with the web dynpro UI! It is not possible from SAP backend.
But you need enterprise search up and running to assign employees to the talent pool as talent management specialist.
As a Manager you can assignt employees to a Talent pool.

  • Sap E-recruiting ( Talent Relationship Management )

    Hi
Why one candidate (internal or external) appears in the pool of talents and other no ?
I registered 20 candidates but only I can see 3 when i search in Talent Relationship Management
Can you show me the way please?

    Hello,
unfortunately there is no easy way to tidy up a complete e-recruiting.
While for pure HR components there is a way to clear all infotypes through a report SAP once delivered to get rid of database entries which were accidently transfered with a client copy including customizing tables (all infotypes are for any reason type C tables), the business partner integration of e-recruiting blocks that way.
Also doing it manually is not easy, e.g. deleting a requisition can only be done for requisitions marked "to be deleted" and this is only possible in the manager scenario.
We once developed a report to clear a complete e-recruiting system without touching process supporting data like process templates or questionaires for a customer who tested on production to ensure propper set up and a then wanted to clear everything. This took quite some days to get this right - unfortunately I cannot hand this out, I hope for ur understanding here.
Of course you can try to develop such report on your own. Other way would be a new system setup with importing all transports you did so far. Or third just clean up what really bothers ongoing project.
For a production system I would go for new setup. In best case there is a data recovery possible you only have to import the transports. Developing an own report might take you longer than this.
If it is only the dev system I would get rid of all things which could disturb my developments by throwing dumps or slg1 entries. If it is only dev full cleaning is not always necessary. But of course this need quite profund knowledge of the application and the project itself.
Sorry that I cannot offer an easy solution for this problem.

  • MSS for e-recruiting - error with workflow user since no candidate exists

    Hi all!
We are trying to set up the requisition request in MSS based on the new standard WF templates specified in SAP note 949625.
I can create a requisition request but the WF failes to create the e-recruiting requisition (NB) because our workflow system user does not have a candidate defined (No candidate could be found for US WF-BATCH).
How can we address this issue?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Mathias

    Hi Experts-
Im pretty much going through the same scenario now. On registration external candidate does not receive verification email. I am thinking this has got to do with WF-BATCH not behaving. Plz guide me through this. What values do we need to use in the report. RCF_CREATE_USER. I am giving the following values and not able to proceed further. I am using an exisiting PERNR and getting a msg
'A candidate already exists for the employee number'
    First name : workflow
    Last name : batch
    User name : wf-batch
Personnel number : existing PERNR (75481235)
Position : above PERNRs position number (2184)
E-mail address : as maintained on wf-batch user ([email protected])
    Alternatively if i give a candidate number in the place of personnel number its giving another msg;
'Enter a value for field langugage according to ISO 639. Not sure if some config needs to be maintained somewhere on this but entries on T002TX seems alrite.
    Appreciate your time!!

  • E Recruiting-Assign to a Talent Group

    Hi
As an applicant I want to assign myself to Talent group. I didnu2019t find how to assign. I have registered as external candidate and I created the profile and try to assign myself to a talent group but I didnu2019t find the way.
Can you show me the way please? Thanks in advance.
    Robin

A candidate cannot assign himself/herself to the talent group.
This Job has to be carried out by the Recruiter/ Talent Management team because they are the best judge of which Talent groups a candidate belongs to depending upon his profile and the criterias set by the talent management team.
A candidate should not be ideally aware of the Talent group he belongs to.
Thougha  candidate can select the Interest Group, to receive Jobmailers belonging to a particular Interst Group.
    hope this solves your query,

  • E-recruiting notifications queries

    Hi Gurus,
Please help me with the following queries regarding the e-recruiting notifications::
    1. How can we send an automatic notification while extending an offer to the refferer if the application came from an employee referral source?
    2. How can we send automatic periodic notifications to all the applicants with profiles in the Talent Pool, to remind them to confirm/update their resume details.
    3. How can we have an automatic notification after each completion of any of the recruitment activity.
    4. Is the automatic tracking of correspondence generated in e-recruiting possible.
    Regards

    Hi,
There are some standard workflows. based on the standard events which need to be modified to incorporate your logic.
    a) Extend an offer: For every activity created in the system an event is triggered in the system, a workflow is attached to it (you need to activate it) which is called... this workflow can be copied to a custom workflow where if the activity is extend an offer the referrer is identified and a mail is sent as a notification.
    b)Periodic notifications:
Approach 1: create a report which is scheduled periodically to send mails.
Approach 2: use a workflow and trigger the event for this workflow periodically.
    c) There is already a standard workflow for it available... explore the options........ some of the details i have mentioned in step a)
    d) Ya tracking is there but it is administrator tracking transaction is sost........

  • E-Recruiting - active on both central ECC + Standalone box and integrated?

    Hi,
Can someone tell me if the following landscape is possible with E-rec? (we are installing ehp4)
    a) Our central ECC system with the E-Rec component activated. Used for internal recruiting.
      +
    b) A standalone E-Rec box , connected and integrated via ALE to the above central ECC system. Used for external recruiting.
So we now have have E-rec activated on both systems with the standalone one integrated into the ECC6 one where E-rec is also active.
Will we have all the functionality of E-Rec/Talent Mangement availalble in this landscape? Will the manager via the Recruiter business packages and MSS be able to use all functionality seemlesly with all data merged between the systems? Do you think all BI reporting on E-rec will work as it suppose to?
We want to be able to integrate and use the data from both systems as a single unit with standard SAP functionality. We only want to physically seperate where the external and where the internal users log on to.
    Thanks

    Hello,
My suggestion to you would be to have the ECC server upgraded to EHP4, activate E-Recruiting and have it inside the firewall as the back-end server. Recruiters and Managers accessing through portal will access this system. You will have the other server as the front-end server with E-Recruiting. Candidates will update their information in this front-end server, which will in turn update the back-end server through an RFC. This can be achieved through configuration if you check in SPRO.
There is no such thing as external recruiting or internal recruiting to some extend. What you have is external and internal candidates in the same talent pool. It is when you post to candidates where you can select whether you want internal candidates only to apply or external candidates. The external will not see internal postings and vice-versa when they search for jobs. External candidates will login from the internet while internal candidates will login from the portal. Your candidate's information will be residing in both systems but the backend will be updated through an RFC.
In this case the BI will work as normal. I hope this will help you - but this is my opnion.
    Best Regards,
