Entering Angular Values in results recording
Dear All ,
My incomming inspection is done for a prism , where angle of the prisim is measured.
I will get the results as 30 Deg , 60 Min and 10 Sec . ie 30D60"10' . If we enter 30.60.10 or 30'60"10 system is not accpeting. How to enter this type of values in a sisngle character.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Srihari
You can also convert them all into decimal degree and the update the MIC.
Formula;
dn = d + m/60 + s/3600 where Dn is decimal degree..
hope this helps.

Table for Original Values in Results Recording
Hi,
Where are the original values of the results recording of the inspection lot (inspection type 04) stored?
Or, is there any function module to fetch this data?

Dear all,
My requirement is such that if we enter a value in result recording and if it is rejected system should automatically propose a field where I will enter the value after testing it again.
We do not want any manual addition of same M,I.C
Thanks in advance

venkatA controlling char is best suitable for this type of requirement but
Just a suggestion ...........May be you can use the Inspection point concept .
for first inspection point you can enter results.Suppose you find that results needs to be recorded on same set of char/MIC's then you can create next inspection point & record another set of values.

Dear Experts,
In QA32 when we want to enter result for particular inspection lot, there is column for result and original value, whenever a user enter some values in the result text field, the original value column automatically inserted.
My questions are:
1. I found some inspection lots that had all the result value filled in but the original values are blank, what may caused this situation?
assuming that the original values are updated automatically each time the result columns are filled in.
2. Where do I found the table column to store this result field? because I can't find it in QASR or in QAMR tables.
Please help, any help will be highly appreciated.
Sincerely,
SammyHi
Original Value Before Input Processing
In this field, the system saves the original value that was actually entered during results recording. Attributes that may have been entered are also saved (for
Means
1.suppose you entered 10.200 value but the data you have maintained allows you to only aceept 10.2 as a vlaue.
then Measured value: 10.2 & Original value will be :10.200
Original Value : This is what you have entered during result recording.

Chaneg log for QM results recorded
Guys,
Is there a way to track/view the changes to the results that are recorded for an Master Inspection Charateristic?
ThanksHi Ameya,
In creation of Master Inspection Charateristic, please check the control key setting.
In that miscellaneous, "RR change Document" check box to be flagged.
Then u have to assign the MIC to some Plan.
When Inspection lot is created using this plan, u can change the value during result recording.
All changes with their change log can be captured.

Single result recording valuation based on min and max values
hi,
Our client requirement is as follows:
While entering the single results recording the system should not calculate the average , we need the system should valuate based on the Minimum and Maximum values in result entry. Is it possible?. can anyone explain in details.
Regards,
Ramu.Hi
This is a standard SAP functionality available in SAP
As
Variable Inspection by S-Method
If you set this indicator, you define the valuation mode for the variable inspection according to the s-method (ISO 3951).
For a sampling procedure with this valuation mode, valuation occurs using a sampling plan consisting of sample size and k-factor. A quality score is calculated from the measured values of a sample and compared with the k-factor.
Now you want Both limits should come into picture while valuating then Check valuation Rule :31 -Variable insp. s-Method (two limits)
so select the Valuation mode : 310- Variable insp. s-Method (two limits) in sampling procedure.
I hope this will add some value.

Result recorded values not appearing in printing the Inspection lot
Hi all ,
Using QC21 i am printing the Inspection lot but the Result recorded values are not appearing in printing the Inspection lot .
while creating the certifacte profile i had maintained the MIC for which i had saved as Summary for recording . if i change this to Orginal value it says that this doesnt exist in the Inspection plan .
can somebody help me on this .
thanks ,
ksrHi
1.Make sure that you are using same MIC in Task list & certificate.
2.make sure that you have done RR & taken UD.
3.make sure that MIC is reference MIC.
4.Make sure that profile is attached to material

Prevent entering result recording after the production order closed.
Hi QM Gurus,
I want to prevent entering the result recording (we used inspection point) after the corresponding production order was closed.
Please help.
Cheers,
Sunhi all,
Enhancement QEEM0015 is only used for individual result, it can not be used for summerized result.
Enhancement QEEM0011 is the right one for my case.
It works before the system valuates the inspectoin characteristics' result for both individual and summerized result.
Thanks all for your help.

VALUATION NOT APPEARING IN RESULT RECORDING
Hello....
I have created an inspection plan where i have assigned all the characteristic to be inspected with quantative data.
Upon goods receipt inspection lot is generated,
while doing result recording when i enter the result for eg. if the characteristic value is 1-10, and i enter the reult as 1, the valuation has to be set automatically as accepted but its not appearing, could anyone please let me know am i missing any settings.
Suggestions will be worth appretationHi sarfrazbaig ,
If you are using sampling procedure, check the "Valuation Mode". It must be "Manual Valuation" to achieve the valuation Manually.
The trx code will be QDV1/2/3 for Sampling procedure.
Regards,
Shyamal
=================================================================================
Okey if you are not using the sampling procedure then,
Set the value as "Automatic Close" / Close, Navigate and save automatically" in the IMG settings at Quality Management->Basic Settings->Maintain Settings at Plant Level, here for the relevant plant select the "Result Recording" Tab and set the mentioned vales for the field "Recording configuration"
Revert for for further inputs.

Shyamal

Entering charct. values at the time of GR
Hi All...
We have a Issue regarding raw material receiptu2026
We r getting Ores (ROH) from different parties, they send test certificate with every lot. We need to enter the % of nickel or Chrome etc at the time of GR for PO. After that stock will move to quality stock where they will check the parameters and record. Purchase dept will compare the results.
I tried this by giving Material class (001) for the material, but itu2019s not asking the characteristic value at the time of GR.
My requirement is at the time of GR, system should ask the characteristic value..we dont want to manage stock in batches..
Please share ur thoughts.
sriniDuring GR U can only enter Characteristics Value for Batch Class under Classification. For which Material should be Batch managed and use calss type 022 (if batches are at plant level) or 023 (if batches are material or client level). Create a class type of 022 or 023 and assign to Materail master and also activate batch management for the material and then try to create GR, it will allow to enter the values for characteristics.

Results Recording through QE 11 - Determine one MIC w.r.t another MIC
Hi All,
While doing Results Recording through QE11, one MIC (Say 'T') )needs to be automatically calculated ,whereas it was manually entered until now.
The value for 'T' should be picked from some Z table depending on some key fields , of whiich another manual MIC (say 'A' )value is a key field.
I can create the Function module and assign it to the MIC in formula. But I am not sure how to pick up the value for MIC 'A' at run-time.
Before saving itself, when 'calculate' button near 'T' is pressed, the FM should be triggered and it should use the value for MIC 'A' for picking value for 'T' from Z table.
Please advise if any FMs/BAPIS are there or any other method.
An F1 at 'A' yielded field QAQEE-SUMPLUS in 'Result' field and QAMKR-ORIGINAL_INPUT from 'Orig. Val' filed of which both are structure fields.
Thanks,
NeethuI'm a maybe little late, but i will try to explain my own problem.
I'm also working for QM.
I want read data from QAQEE-ORIGINAL_INPUT and i cant and i did succed when i going to see inspection report.
I just have to make some marks in field Accessories for report and u will get data from this field.
But, if i want to read the same data in another place in sapscript i have problem.
It simple i cant get data from structure, is this because the program for form is writen for specific point when it must be write out?
Sorry for my english.
Tnx. -
Hi friends,
I am using upper & lower plausibility limit in MIC, while result recording for this MIC a warning message is issued when user enters value which is not in the defined range, now i want to convert this warning message to error message.
The mesasge is
The input value 14 is too large. Check your entry
Application Area: QE
Message number : 405.
Please guide me how to go about it.
Regards,
Amit Shirsath.
Edited by: Amit Shirsath on Jul 15, 2008 6:36 AMWhy would you want to change this to a warning only? If the value is to large for the test being performed, it shouldn't be allowed to be enterred.
Unless you have done something strange with your master data, (like setting a spec on the characteristic itself), you should be able to enter an out-of-spec value but you should not be able to enter one that exceeds the capability of the test, i.e. the characteristic.
With a max value of 14 this sounds like a pH test. You shouldn't ever have to enter a value over 14..

Short Text Display of Insp. Char in Result Recording (QE01) Screen
Hi All,
I have created Inspection plans with MICs. MICs Short Texts are maintained in multiple languages. (Ex: EN & FR)
I have created an Inspection lot with Login Language EN. When I want to result record this inspection lot (QE01) with login Language FR, Display of "Short Text for the inspection characteristic" in QE01 is in EN rather than FR.
Is it a standard SAP behaviour? If yes, what is significance of maintaining short texts in multiple languages?
If not, How can this be corrected?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Pradeephi
Not very sure but
In Su3-->Parameters Enter
CP13 BC Sets: List of languages for language-dependent values
DYL Screen language
HLG PC translation interface help language
This might solve you problem

User Exits for QE11 Results Recording
Hi Experts,
I'm having the scenario for results recording as follows.
I'm using variant configuration, while creation of sales order user will enter the configuration i.e. Manfacturing range. Based on the manfacturing range system will calculate the remaining parameters like burst pressure maximum and minimum based on the dependencies we written.
While doing the results recording, the system is giving error if out of the range values entered.
But here, if suppose Manfacturing Range = -5% range
Then the Burst pressure Maximum = 15 psig
Burst Pressure Minimum = 12.5 psig
For this range, they have some calculation while doing results recording.
For this range +/- 2 % will be allowed i.e.
Burst Pressure Maximum = 15.3 psig
Burst Pressure Minimum = 12.25 psig
This range will be applicable in Quality Department.
So, while doing the results recording system has to give the error out of this range means.
For this is there any User Exit or Enhancement is available or not.
Please help me.
NarenHi
I think you can use the multiple specification for the mareal function to meet this.
Step1 : Quality Management -> Basic Settings -> Maintain Settings at Client Level
Inspection Specification -> Multiple Specifications check box to be flagged.
Step 2: Quality Management ->Quality Planning -> Inspection Planning ->General -> Multiple Specification->
Define Object Types for Multiple Specifications e.g.Manufacturing range
Step3 : Quality Management -> Quality Planning > Inspection Planning > General > Multiple Specifications
> Define Objects for Multiple Specifications e.g. 5%, 10% etc
Step 4 : Activate Multiple spec Quality Management > Quality Inspection > Inspection Lot Creation > Define Default Values for Inspection Type
Step 5 : flag Multiple spec check box in material master inspection set up
Step 6 : In quality plan header data click on multiple specification
step 7 : Assign the material to the task list
Step 8 > Enter the depedent characteristics for the specification
