Overtime hours

Hello Gurus
Please help me
The situation is like this....
At my client side the time recording system sends employees data to SAP.
The data involves no. of hours of attendence , emp absences and overtime. The hours of overtime ,attendence and absences are transfered to SAP system. No time events are transferred,I mean not the clock in clock out but just the number of hrs.
So I know, the employees attendences goes to 2002, absences goes to 2001,will the overtime go to 2002 or 2005.
Please help
Thanks

Hi sagarika,
First of all you have ask you client what type of time mgmt they want to follow.
As per your given info you are not evaluating any time events means you are not going to evaluate time events
Which tells you that hv to follow negitve time mgmt. In such cases you no need to input hour attended by employee. Unless untill there is a deviation
Here you hv to follow negitive Time Mgmt. Deviations you can record in IT2002 for example OT etc.
OT U Can do it on 2005 based on requirement
For the OT you need create seperate time type
Absences any way you going to record in 2001

  • Need to get the overtime hours worked for Report

    Dear Experts,
We have configured Overtime for client and it is working fine.
But for custom report development we need to get the overtime hours worked.
We have searched in B2 cluster and not able to identify exact overtime table.
    Request your suggestionsu2026u2026..

    Hi,
after time elavualtion use t code PT66,  in this t.code double click on the each month(period) then you can get the internal table like ZES, SALDO, ZKO. again double click on the each internal table, you can get the information through the time types.  Like , now you want the overtime hours, 0903, 0904 with this time types you can get the each employee no. of. overtime hours.
ZL, ZES, SALDO, TIP entries are internal table , you could not get any results from this table with using se11, se16.
With PT_BAL00 with this report also we can get the overtime hours with the help of time events.
    Good luck
    Devi

  • Exclude Holiday hours from overtime hours and add into regular hours

In our current scenario any holiday hours are included in Overtime hours. We want to exclude these holiday hours from overtime hours
    Two examples:
In one week an employee works 35 regular hours, with 8 holiday hours, for a total of 43 hours. Currently, the employee would get 40 hours of straight time, with 3 hours of OT. The change required is that it should have 43 hours of straight time, with no OT.
Another example - In one week an employee submits 42 hours of time, with 8 holiday hours for a total of 50 hours. Currently, the employee would get 40 hours of straight time, with 10 hours of OT. With the change, the employee would receive 48 hours of straight time, with 2 hours of OT.
In summary any holiday hours should be included into regular hours not in Overtime hours.
Which setup changes are required to achive this functionalty?

You can exclude the holiday hours from the OT calculation by excluding it from the earning group setup.

  • COMPUTING MONTHLY OVERTIME HOURS

    Hi guys!
I need your help in finding the right code to compute monthly overtime man-hours. I have developed to code below but the output under: (sum(a.workhrs)-(b.dailyhours)*30) gives -ve figures! What can i do to get +ve figures?
    select
    a.attendancedate,
    a.employee_number,
    b.timefrom,
    min(a.timeloggedin),
    max(a.timeloggedout),
    b.timeto ,
    sum(a.workhrs),
    (sum(a.workhrs)-(b.dailyhours)*30),
    sign(sum(a.workhrs)-(b.dailyhours)*30),
    b.public_normal,
    b.shiftcode,
    b.daychange
    from
    attendance a, mt_shiftdetail b, bio_employee c, employee d
    where
    rtrim(to_char(a.attendancedate,'DAY')) = rtrim(b.weekday)
    and rtrim(ltrim(a.employee_number)) = rtrim(ltrim(c.employee_number))
    and a.shiftcode = b.shiftcode
    and c.employee_number = d.employee_number
    group by
    a.attendancedate,a.employee_number,b.dailyhours,b.breakhours,b.public_normal,b.shiftcode,b.timefrom,b.timeto,b.daychange;
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Thanks for your input,
however, its the other way round: dailyhours represents the std scheduled hours/day (9) while workhrs represents the total hours worked in a day inclusive of overtime.
What am looking for is a way to collect the daily difference and sum it up at the end of the month.
2ndly i need to find a way of getting overtime hours on a week-day and that on a week-end+holidays separately then sum them up at month-end. The reason is, the rate of payment for overtime on a week-day is 1.5 while overtime on a week-end+holiday is 2.0
    please assist!

  • Urgent: Can Overtime hours be directly charged to a WBS, Project etc.

    Dear Team:
Can Overtime hours be directly charged to a WBS, Project etc.
Let me have a Business Solution as well as the SAP solution to do the same requirement.
    For example:
If an employee has worked for a Project - Instrumentation for 8 hours + 4 hours as overtime. The total 12 hours to be charged to Instrumentation Project.
Currently we are following as 8 hours are charged directly to the Project using Project Systems Data Entry Profile and 4 hours overtime using HR Data Entry Profile. These overtime hours are not getting directly charged to the Project but these are getting paid.
How the above 4 hours of overtime be charged against a project as well as to be paid as overtime. Please assist.
    Regards
    Mallikarjun P
    [email protected]

I didn't get you. Please could you explain me clearly.
Now my scenario is as follows:
If an employee has worked for a project he would be recording his man hours using the Project Systems Profile. For example he has worked on 24.03.2008 for 10 hours for an X project. He books the 10 hours in the project, but in this case 2 hours is overtime to be paid, so he goes to the HR Data entry profile and books the 2 hours as overtime for date 24.03.2008. These 2 hours are recorded in infotype 2002 and payment is made as per the calculation.
10 hours which went to Project Systems will be based on some fixed amount per hour as per the settings. But these 2 hours cost which was paid as overtime in HR should be reflected in the project instead of the normal cost which was set in PS.
    More clear:
Project Systems - 1 hour rate is Rs.30.
Human Resources - 1 hour overtime is Rs.100.
    If 10 hours worked in Project, 8 hours * 30 = Rs.240 charged to a project.
But 2 hours overtime = 2  hours * 100 = Rs.200 should be charged to the Project and also should be paid as overtime.
    Please update on the same.

  • Upload Overtime hours alongwith diffrent cost centre

    Hi,
This is my first question to you guys and I hope that you will not disappoint me. I am working for the UK client, so on monthly basis I received a file which includes the employees pay number, hours, Overtime claimed date and cost centre different with the default cost centre of the employees. So I used to put all the entries manually one by one in IT 0015 or 2010 because I am unable to do the bulk file upload as the Cost centre is diffrent. I know that we can upload the hrs through "zchrnew" but dont know how to upload them with the cost centre.
Could you please let me know if there is any way to upload the Overtime hours in SAP with the Cost Centre.
    Thanks
    Naveen

    Hi Sikinder,
Thanks for the reply. But with the CTRL+F2 we can change the cost centre for only one entry and my concern is regarding Bulk Upload for Overtime. Do you have any idea how we can upload (more than one entry in one go) the cost centre alongwith the overtime hours? What I wanted to upload in SAP is Employee ID, OT Start Date, Wage Type, OT hrs and cost centres. Please let me know if you have any suggestions as how we can upload the same in SAP and under which TCODE.
    Thanks

  • Very Simple Overtime Hours Calculation

I have no experience with JavaScript and need help with a calculation for a simple Acrobat time sheet.
I have a timesheet form that adds and populates a "Total Hours" box, and I would like to automatically populate a "Regular Hours" box and an "Overtime Hours" box (based on a standard 40 hours week).
ex: if "Total Hours" = 55, "Regular Hours" should read 40, "Overtime Hours" should read 15.
ex: if "Total Hours" = 30, "Regular Hours" should read 30, "Overtime Hours" should read 0.

Use this code as the custom calculation code of Regular Hours:
    event.value = +this.getField("Total Hours").value > 40 ? 40 : +this.getField("Total Hours").value;
Use this code as the custom calculation code of Overtime Hours:
    event.value = +this.getField("Total Hours").value > 40 ? (+this.getField("Total Hours").value - 40) : 0;

  • Employee overtime hours calculation

  • Overtime compensation by time off.

    Dear Experts,
I am using TM00 for time evaluation, I want to compensate the overtime perfomed by employee by time off only (no payment for overtime), I am using PCR YO16 for determining overtime (Copy of TO16 Determine overtime without approval), I have set the compensation type 3 (Compensation time off) using PCR YO16, I have created one absence quotya type 02 called as "comp off" with "INCREASE" mode in customizing, I have kept base entitlement for this quota type as Day Balance 0410 (Time off from overtime), the issue is that the quota type 02 is geting accrued twice if employee works overtime this is because PCR for compensation of Overtime TC10 updates the quota 02 by UPDTQA by overtime hours and QOUTA function also increases the quota type 02 by overtime hours,.
Since my quota type 02 should only get generated if any employee works overtime I dont want it to get processed by QUOTA function so could you please let me know how to achieve it.
If there is any other solution for my requirement then also please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Javed

    Hi Okan,
For accessing the quota in time evaluation should be in increase mode.
Still I tries as you said be it is also preventing it from getting updated by UPDTQA.
I am having one workaround...if I remove the UPDTQA statement from TC12 I am getting correct results since the quota is getting updated by QUOTA function only...but I think this would not be the correct way to get the solution since SAP has provided the UPDTQA statement in TC12 means there should be some purpose behind it...right...the correct way would be to avoid the quota getting updated by QUOTA function...I think we are missing something...bevause of which we are not able prevent QUOTA function from updating our quota..please suggest...
    Thanks,
    Javed

  • OTL Overtime Message

    Hi
I've a requrement that in the Self Service Time card. If the Overtime > 60 hours in a month then it should display a comment or message saying he has exceeded the overtime hours.
Is that possible. Please advice how can we able to achieve this functionality. We are having CRP next week for this
    Regards
    Ramesh Kumar S

I believe that you haven't created the messge which you are trying to use. Please create the message through Application Developer > Applications > Messages and then refer to that in your rule. Check the seeded rules for Tokens available like for the message text "The following time entry rule has been violated (RAD Daily Minimum Hours)", the message name is HXC_WTD_PERIOD_MAXIMUM and passed token is TER name.
Let me know if you are still having issues.

  • OTL Overtime Implementation

    Dear All,
We need to implement overtime. What is the best way to achieve this in OTL.
Should we define the Overtime Hour type and employee should enter the overtime separately using this hour type. And overtime payment will be given as per the rule to this overtime.
    OR
We will use the shift differential policy for separating extra hour worked and treat them as Overtime. And overtime payment will be done to this hours entered.
    Many many thanks in advance.

OTL provides the facility to calculate OT based on your setup, hence always use that. If you allow users to manually enter OT, then someone will have to manually verify all the timecards for OT calculation, that beats the purpose of automation.

  • Rounding of attendance hours

    Hi experts,
In the system,  rounding of the attendance hours is done.  If a person works for two shifts in a day,  the rounding is done individually.  But the requirement is the rounding is to be done  after taking the total of these attendance hours.
For example    attendance hr in first shift is 8.20 (rounded to 8)
Attendace hr in second shift is 6.15 (rounded to 6)
                            Total is 14 hours
    But the requirement is                8.20  +  6.16 =  14.36 (rounded to 15)
Because the range 0.25 to 1 will be rounded to 1.
How can I achieve this in table TIP in Time eval? Please advise.
    Thanks

    Hello Mohammed,
Straight answer is no, reason is there is no such concept of rounding in time type. As we are aware TIP table is used for pair formations based on the working times which is further processed for determing the processing type / time types for the time pair. Once we do this determination Balances are formed in Time TypesThis all depends how are you treating the work hours, to be more clear what are the total planned hours / overtime hours for the employee. Whther the employee is working 1 shift or 2shifts for one single day.
    Hope this clarifies your doubt.

  • COST DISTRIBUTION on OVERTIME

    Hi All,
We have a issue in cost distribution on overtime. We use FLSA Overtime calculation in time. The OT is calculated after meeting the thershold and OT payment is paid in PY. Since the time is passing the accumulated numbers as wage type after thershold is met, we are loosing the cost allocation in Payroll. The attendence is entered in CAT2 as 24hrs format. If the employee knows that the OT belongs to different Cost, then the Employee enters the hours based upon the Cost center.
Finally when it comes out -of Time evaluation, everything is lost after thershold is met by FLSA standards.
Query 1. how to capture the Cost distribution for overtime hours in FLSA overtime calculation.
    Thanks in Advance
    arbindo

    Hi Krish...
Very first  thanks for your reply. Answer to your reply is ...there are chances for both.technically speaking multiple cost centers can be there for Overtime worked. since the WS is open sun to sat ,workimg hours are 00 to 24 hours employee can be called by different agenicies/ costcenters to work at any time.
In that case how to capture the CC after thershold.

  • Workflow issue for Overtime Payment

    Hello All,
Scenario: Employee enters his overtime hours through ESS.
His overtime gets approved by his manager. Once approved it updates the IT0015 addtional payments with the respective wage type & hrs.
Problem: The employee has applied for overtime for dates ex: 16.04.2008. HI overtime has also been approved by manager.
As per the workflow, it should create a record in IT0015. But its not updating/creating any record in IT005.
It gives error message: "personnel number(s) could not be locked:
My logic: As per my understanding, the personnel no has been  was locked by some other process in system.
I chekced the status of the workflow through SWi1 in graphic, here it shows as " Completed" with no errors.
Kindly advice me as what needs to be done in this case.Shall we ask the user to apply again? or whats the solution?
    Thanks & Regds,
    Nithi

    Hi Nithi,
In this case you probably can add the entry in infotype 0015 manually. But you should also take a look at the workflow. There should be check after the step for adding the entry if the update was succesful, if not you could wait for a certain period and try again. Us a counter in this loop so after a certain amount of tries you could send a task to a HR administartor (or someone like that) who should do the update manually.
This way you could avoid these kind of errors.
    Regards,
    Martin
