STO for Plants with different excise registers

Dear All,
We have to transfer the materials within a company code. Two plants are different one for trading where we maintain RG23D register and other for manufacturing where we maintain RG23C register.
Can we use STO for stock transfer between the Plants. And how to maintain proper excise register in both the Plants.
Regards
Vikas Sehra

You can definitely have stock transfer between two plants: one a manufacturer and another a trader.
Maintain the proper assignment of registers in the corresponding excise groups.
The STO process followed is as for a depot transfer:
1) STO, OBD, PGI, VF01 and J1IIN in the manufacturing plant where RG23A/RG23C gets updated
2) GR, J1IG at trading plant, RG23D gets updated with the reference to the parent invoice from the manufacturer.
3) VA01, OBD, J1IJ, VF01 during sales, here billing automatically picks up excise duty paid to government by the manufacturing plant
Please note that though you can mark up during sales from the trading plant (sell as a higher price), excise will still be the same as that paid to the government by the manufacturing plant. In case, you want to charge higher excise as well, please look at my document: CIN: Capturing Additional Excise at Depots Due to Price Change – A Certificate

  • Multiple plants with same excise registration

I have 8 different manufacturing facilities/locations inside the same campus.  Due to business requirement I have to make each of these manufacturing locations as plants. But, this campus/location is given only one Excise Registration by Govt. This company is maintaining only single set of excise books like RG23 registers, etc not as per each manufacturing locations.
    *_My question is:*_
1.Can I assign multiple plants to the same Excise Registration in
    SPROLogistics u2013 GeneralTax on Goods MovementsIndiaBasic SettingsMaintain Plant Settings
    Will there be any issue?
    2.  Do I have to make multiple excise group or single excise group for plants?

If your Plants / Depos are Excisable then you have to create Separate Excise Group & Series Group. It will help you to see Excise Registers as per the Plant's different Excise Group.

  • STO for PLant abroad

    Hi,
Is there any specific steps to create intra company STO for plant abroad. In help i can see the below
    note. How to do this?
    Stock transfer
Replenishment deliveries between different EU countries are relevant for billing. The billing status is A.
Appreciate your quick response on this.
    Thanks,
    Suresh

    hi
if the plant belong to same company code, then you need to capture the duties etc that would come into picture cause it would also involve import duites for reciving countries. therefore you will have to change the calculation scheme and capture this. also if billing is involved you need to take delivery type NLCC.
    Thanks

  • How to create group bom for multiple plants with different company codes

    Dear all,
In my current scenario we have 5 Company codes with a plant with each company. The same kind of materials exist in all the 5 plants, so what i want is when i create any BOM, that BOM has to extend in all the company codes, as with GROUP BOM i can able to extend the same in only one company code.
    So how to do this?
    Thanks in Advance
    Bhushan

For that first extend all the materials to all the plants... In one plant create a BOM for the material..
In all other polants in CS01,   click COpy from .. There you mention the matreial and the plant in which the BOm is alerady available..

  • STO - Two plants within Different Company Codes

    Hello,
Kindly help me out with this case, i want to create a STO for two plants within DIFFERENT company codes, so i've created all the required configuration and master data including creating the supplying plant as a vendor and the ordering plant as a customer, also all master data is maintained in both plants and i tried the scenario on the IDES system and it works okay so i know i'm on the right procedures. The problem is that i create the PO, but when i go to Transaction Code VL10B to create the delivery it gives me an error ( Delivery with no Line item not allowed ) even though there is more than enough stock in the storage location. Kindly help me out.

  • Automatic STO for materials with split valuation

    Hey Gurus,
Our client uses plant-to-plant STO to do transfers among internal plants. The current process: Run MRP in receiving plants --> MRP generates PReq --> Release PReq --> Assign Preq and create STO(from here, buyers manually check stock at issuing plant to see if there are "New" or "Rebuild" stock available, Rebuild stock always take the priority. Buyers manually assign Rebuild or New to ME21N).
The client tries to automate the STO process, ie, using ME59 or ME59N instead of ME21N. The problem is how the system does stock check and automatically enters"Rebuild" or "New" for materials with Split Valuation, which are done by buyers manually?
    Thanks
    JM

    Hello,
Your client's request can be met with an user exit i guess. I have not used this but this is a suggestion that you can try if you wish.
The following things need to be done.
    1. New PR type needs to be created and assinged to the STO document type.
    2. When running a MRP at receiving plant, the system uses the special procurement key to create the STO requisition, hence we can write the relevant code in user exit in the MRP program. (please find the user exit for MD01)
    3. If the special procurement key is 40 in the material master (MRP view), then system has to create the PR using the new PR type for STO. Also for those PRs the default batch should be "Rebuilt" entered while creating the PR.
    4. As the batch is already entered in the PR, converting them to PO automatically will not be an issue.
if you feel that the above solution is little tough to implement, then please write a program to fetch the STO PRs and update the PRs one by one using the BAPI PR update or BDC with the batch "Rebuilt". This program you can ask the users to run before using ME59.

  • Urgent: Maintain std cost for plants under different company codes

    Hi all,
    Company code(s)/Plant(s): C1/P1, C2/P2, ..., CnPn
BOMs and Routings are maintained under P1. I believe that unlike BOM routing can't be made available across plants. So how does one maintain std cost across plants under different company codes?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You have to maintain individual BOM, Routing and varaint for all plants.

  • Look for files with different names

Do we have any utility or command in solaris 8 where we can check for files in two folders with different names and display them somewhere? Manual search for such files becomes very difficult when there are a large number of files in the folders. Please suggest.

Check with an Unix forum like http://www.unix.com

  • Stock transfer between plants- 1 plant with no excise & 1 plant with excise

    Dear Sir,
We have 6 plants working under SAP version 6.0 and in all the plants excise is applicable i.e. modvat can be taken. Now a new plant say X is coming up under the same company code in which excise modvat won't be applicable. In this scenaripo when we will do stock transfer from existing plants excise will be applicable on the material sent to plant X but at the time of receiving the material at plant X this excise amount must be inventorised on material as modvat is not applicable in this plant. Similarly when we despatch the material from plant X to other existing plants material cost will be with excise value.
Pl. guide me that how this scenario to be configuered.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rajiv

    Hi Rajiv
<b>Only you need to do is</b>
In plant X which is not registered with excise, there you have no need to maintain excise related data of material master record i mean in J1id. So this will post your exsice amount to your inventory cost.
Secondly if material is sent from Plant X to excisable plant this plant X can not levi excise duty as its not regeisetered one.

  • Search for Duplicates with different titles

Some of us ill organized users have thousands and even tens of thousands of pictures scanned in from old albums, 35mm slides, and shoe boxes full of loose pictures. The result is many duplicates with different names. In Elements one could search on 'similar photos' or some such nomenclature and it did fairly good. How is it possible that an organizer in Photoshop Elements can have a superior tagging and search system to that in lightroom. I realize Lightroom does a lot more, but you have come so close to the good things in Elements why not include them in version 1.2?
I asked about this in the forum and got some good answers, but basically told if I want to search on photo based color data, I need to use a program other than Adobe. Hope Adobe fixes that, it would be a great service to lots of us dis- or ill- organized people.
I love Lightroom, but sure hope for some real improvements. Talk to your buddies in Elements.

here is one way to find all matches first and then you can add a fine search/separation if there is more than one match
depending on the size of the sorted array it might be faster if you search for the first match and than look if the next still matches ...

  • Material number for chemical with different packing sizes

A same chemical that we purchase from supplier can be in 25Kg bag, 1000kg bag and 50 kg bag. When we receive the chemicals, the physical goods of the chemical are in 25 KG Bag, 1000kg Bag and 50Kg bag store in the warehouse.
When we sell to customer, it can be in those 3 standard bag size or in KG depend the order quantity from customer.
For the above Chemical what is the best way to catalogue the material number, should it be 3 material numbers for the 3 different pack size, or 1 material number only?

you can have two solution for this with both pros & cons with one material master:
    1. You can have three different unit of measure for 25KG, 1000KG & 50KG bag and you can maintain the relationship in the material master. This will help you to get the total stock in KG in your company and you can sell to the customer. Only problem is you will not be able to determine how much of each type of packaging you have.
    2. You can define the material relevant for batch management. Create three batches 25KG,1000KG & 50KG, also create three different unit of measures as explained above. Now whenever you are doing the GR just put the material in correct batch, by doing this you can easily track you material along with the type of packaging. Also you can sell the material, while delivery you can use the functional of batch determination based on some log. Only problem is manual intervention which can be covered if you use some exit while doing GR so that correct batch is selected based on the Order Unit.
    Hope this will help you..
    Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • BDC for MM with different material types.

Hi, Can anyone explain me how the MM01 tcode can be handled in BDC, when material with different material types are present in the flat file. Different material types have different views and hence different recordings....How to handle this scenario?

Based on different types of material, you can able to find out which all views are required to call through BDC. Try to find out views by using tables MARA, MAKT, MARD, MARC etc. Once it is confirmed you can call views using screen numbers.
Here I don't think so more than one recording is required. Record MM01 transaction using Basic Data1, once you go inside the transaction select all the views required to complete the MM01 transaction. It will record all the views (hence screen numbers), then you can switch/call views based on screen numbers.
Hope this helps you to resolve your query.

  • 2 Plants with different moving average price under 1 co code

    Hi,
I understand we can have different cost for 2 different plants under the same co code. How is it handle when 1 plant transfer to another and we need to add third party cost to showing the revised moving price.
    Pls help .
    Thanks
    YP

    Hi,
    Good evening and greetings,
Normally as per Standard SAP you can accommodate the process as per the link below
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/2e/3f20c2c1bb4780b29504c6e8378b2e/frameset.htm
The system accounts the price as per the receiving plant if a normal plant to plant stock transfer is executed, i.e. not through STO route.

    Thanking you

I'm getting an iPhone from work. I'm allowed to use it however I'd like. This will make a second iPhone. The other is up and running on my MacBook Air in iTunes.
Question: Am I able to set up a SECOND iTunes account to use this new phone with? It will have the same street address but I can give it a different email and credit card.
    Thanks in advance.

Ha. Wish I could speak for the world down under. But I would assume there would be no difference.
