Urgent: sxi_cache on the satellite systems

Hi every one,
The question basically would be how the transaction <b>sxi_cache </b> should behave on the satellite systems.
When I run the tcode <b>sxi_cache</b> on one of the satellite system. I get 2 error messages
1.Unable to refresh cache contents
2.Error during last attempt to refresh cache
Double-Clicking on each of them will give an error-id as <b>"BUSINESS_SYSTEM"</b> but no error-code. In the screen below, it says <b>"NO INTEGRATION SERVER"</b>
<b>PS:Delta-Cache Refresh and Complete-Cache Refresh are disabled on all the satellite systems. I am not sure if this is normal.</b>

  • Service desk RFC destination in the Satellite system

    HI All,
can any body tell me the RFC destination that is to be maintianed in the satellite system so that the message reaches the solution manager service desk.
I am creating messages they are being send to the service desk successfully but are not visible when I go into the service desk of the solution.
But they are visible through the transaction code CRM_DNO_MONITOR .Can any body help the RFC destination to be maintaned in the BCOS_CUST table so that the message reaches the Service Desk.]
Currently I am using the RFC destination to the service desk client in the solution manager ie SIDCLNT200
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
I think your expectation is not correct. I understood, you can create a message in a satellite system and you can see the ticket in SolMan service desk. Then everything is configured correct. What you are now looking for is to see the ticket in a solution when the sat. system is part of the solution. This is not working. If you create out of a solution a service desk ticket, these ticket get a special attribute that they belong to this solution, all other tickets can not be selected by a solution.
Sorry but I am quite sure that it is working like this.
There is only one option, that you define special variants so you can see only tickets from special systems, but these variants can not be assigned to a solution.

  • Create user both in the satellite system and in solman

    Hi
I wonder if I need to open all my user's that are in the satellite system (ECC) in the solution manager for the purpose of create support message or I can only create them as BP?
If I don't need to open them, What is the proper way to configure the RFC?
    Best regard's
    Lior Grinberg

    Hi,
in a normal service desk scenario you do not neet to create users in Sol Man. You just create business partners. If you want the users to logon to Sol Man and edit a document then they also need a real user there (linked via BP - employee):
For creating messages from satellite system you usually maintain RFC destinations from Sol Man (SMSY) to the connected systems. Then you use the generated *_BACK destination in your satellite system and add it to table BCOS_CUST.
All these steps and many more are described in IMG in Solution Manager.

    Hi friends,
Getting the below error in step 10 (configuration check) in managed system configuration.

The SMD log file referred to in the log above gives the same information and not anything much useful.
Any idea what could be the reason for the above error?

    Hi All,
Thaks for your suggestions. I chcked the note 182020, but the issue described in the note is for error byte code adapter installation whcih is not my case. The byte cde adapter intallation has been successful in our solman system All the steps from 1 to 9 are green. Only in step 10, check cniguration I am getting the above error.
The logon test wth the user id in step 3 "Enter system parameters" is successful. The message server port is also correct.
    Hi Khaja,
I went to the links as suggestedby you but there its about a ifferent error message "Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized.". I am not getting any such kind of error.
All I am getting is this -

  • CCMS alerts of the satellite system

Copying CCMS alerts available on the satellite systems to Solution Manager. Is this functionality workable to monitor from Solution Manager?
    Cheers
    Roger

Yes.. Please search for the documents related to System Monitoring funcationality in SolMan. You can get a lot of documents about that in SDN. As well as seach for a .sim file for this in service.sap.com/rkt-solman.

  • Report to pull kernel patches of all the satellite systems

    Hi Experts,
Is there any report in solman system to pull kernel levels of all the satellite systems or is there any process to find out kernel versions of all the satellite systems at a single glance in our solman system.
Our solman system version is 7.0 EHP1 SP6.
    Thanks,

    Hello Jared,
Fast forward a couple years now.  Is this kernel information a feature now in Solution Manager 7.1 SPS8?

  • Accessing the service desk message from satellite system

    gurus  ,
after creating a creating a service desk message to solution manager system via HELP->CREATE SUPPORT MESSAGE ,
how does the message creator from satellite system will view/change the message created by them at late point of time ?

    Susin,
the problem is a commonly asked one that I get when I present the Solution Manager to customers. There is always the question: How can the user see the status of the ticket?
From my point of view you can give them access to the worklist but I guess it is really a pain for the user to log on to SolMan and to access the information from there through a complex transaction.
Alternatively to provide the user with access to the ticket system, you could consider sending out an email on (all or only critical) status changes from the system bei assigning an activity to the status change. That might be much easier for the user (and for you).
After looking at and working with work centres I think it would be worth to install the neccesary patch level. It is really beneficial, for the user reporting a problem, as well as for your help desk monitoring their issues.
Since it is a very common question, and Ruediger seems to be close to the source, can you (Ruediger) maybe provide some information how SAP is going to handle that in the future? Is SAP purely focussing on the work centers in Solution Manager, or is SAP planning on a track & trace possibility within the satellite system for the users?
I guess there is no easy solution to your problem, but maybe I was able to provide some ideas how to provide more funtionality.
    Cheers
    Markus

  • How user trace the message created in Satellite System

    HI All,
I'm using Servide Desk in my company. Just wondering how user can trace the progress of the message created where email notification is not configured.
Remember when user send/save the message, there's a message number created. Just wonder any center/ transaction code user can trace the progress and have a visible view on the message ON THE SATELLITE System, not in SOLMAN.
    Thanks,

    Hi Nicholas
If you are using a "Named" user instead of the Trusted Relationship in the RFC maintained in BCOS_CUST for entry OSS_MSG then this is quite possible. In this case the "Named" user will be used to call the interface to create message and the calling user ie the end user creating the ticket will only be used as "Reporter" of the message.

  • To view the list of users in Satellite Systems from Solman

    Dear Friends,
We wish to view the list of users in a satellite system (say ECC5.0) from solution manager 4.0, can anyone help us to find the same.
    Regards
    Senthil

    Hello Senthil,
You mean the list of BP associated to the satellite users already created? If this is the case
in DSWP, choose a Solution that has your satellite as system and go to Edit->BP
Add the satellite system to the list and if I don´t remember wrong you will get the
BP for the satellite users already created in the righ chart.
Sory if I don´t get the correct question?

    SAP_SUPPDESK_ADMIN

  • Creating Support Desk message in Satellite System Priority & Trans.Type

    Dear Colleagues,
When we click on Help ->Create Support Message . Create Message screen appears, in this screen we can select the Priorities. I wanted to know where we define these priorities. Is it in Satellite System(R/3 ) or in Solution manager.
After creating the message, it will automatically  take SLFN Transaction Type. But I want use Z Transaction type for all support messages. Where i need do the changes.
    Regards
    PK

    Hi PK,
There is an IMG activity for defining a default priority. It work within workcenter and message creation from SolMan. You can test if it works when you create the message from R/3 backend.
Please refer to SAP Note 1362264 - Work Centers: Incident Create default Priority & Category, where the customizing is given (you only need to apply the note if you are using .the workcenters).
Edit : it is likely that the default priority comes from the basis notification when creating message from backend. You can try to change the default priority using the BAdI SBCOS001 in the satellite system.
    Best regards,
    Stéphane.

  • Error creating Service Desk Message in Satellite System

    Hi all
We have two satellite system from which I want to create a Support Message. With my current profile/role and can do it from one system and not from the other system. I get "Error in local message system, message xxx not complete". I dont think it is an Authotization fault, but not sure.
How should the Number ranges be setup for more than one satellite system?
    Thanx
    Jaco Snyman

    Hi Tina
This was my answer in a previuos thread:
    Hi all
I also struggled with this for 2 weeks. But the problem is fixed.
Do your "normal: config from the IMG and then:
    1) Make sure that you have selected for the system NOT to check for the User in SolMan
tr: DNO_CUST04, Go to Detail, Select the field NO_USER_CHECK, "X", this is very important, otherwise you will have to create a username for everyone on the satellite system... far too timeconsuming.
    2) In your satellite system under OSS_MSG: Col1:Application: OSS_MSG, Col2: + : W. Col3: RFC Destination: SM_"SOLMANRFC"_BACK. Col4: + : CUST620. COl5: + : 1.0
In the Solman side you maintain Col3 as "NONE".
    3) Make sure that ALL users in the satellite system has the following roles: SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE and SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN.
    4) Make sure that you have TRUSTED RFC to and from your Satellite system and Solution Manager.
The main one to be sure of is: SAP_ALL for all SOLMANxxx user in the Solution Manager system for every satelite system, because the standard roles from SAP does not work.
This should have your Service Desk Messaging working.

See some general information on Work Center here
[SAP Support Portal - Work Center|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000707406&]
    It's available as of ST 400 SP15.
Run transaction solman_workcenter to access Work Center.
Required configuration steps are documented in IMG (transaction spro). See activities under node "Cross-Scenario Settings -> Work Center"
See also section "Work Center Navigation Roles" in Security Guide.

  • Solution Manager EWA - cannot create session in satellite system

    "Hi,
I want to configure EWA self service using Solman 4.0. I succesfully did the following :
    a. Maintained SMSY and create the required trusted RFC connections from SM to satellite system. All connection and authorization passed in SM59. I used SAP_ALL/SDCCN_ALL role and assigned objects S_RFC*.
    b. Assigned the system to a logical system.
    c. Created the a new solution and activate "Solutions Monitoring > Earlywatch Alert"
    d. Activated and maintained required RFC in SDCCN in satallite system.
My problem is that the create EWA alert request (Red Flag with a specific session number ) coulnd be pass to the satelitte system even though all the trusted RFC and authorization is set. When i execute the SESSION_REFRESH in the satellite system, the session is not created.
Did I miss out any steps. Can any one share any help ?
FYI, there is no connection to SAPOSS yet, so i did not manage to run RTCCTOOL completed, but i doubt this is required for EWA self service."
I  have the same problem as Solution Manager EWA - cannot create session in satellite system
tried all of solutions,  but it does not help... Created the CM (high) for SAP, but get 1 response for 1 week from them:(

    Dear Sapbcer,
Have you tried the following option :
Execute SMSY and from the Server entry Execute the "Read System Data Remote" option in change mode.
Save the data captured and then try using Refresh Session Task from SDCCN of the satellite system. Do select the RFC for Solution Manager while performing this task.
    Hope this helps.
