Absence Quota Carry Forward without Time Evaluation (TQTR)

Dear Experts,
The client requires the left over from 2 quota types to be carry forward to 1 quota type next years.
e.g. from Annual Leave and Casual Leave is to be carry fowarded to following year's Annual Leave. As well as the total quota for Annual Leaves cannot exceed 60.
Now the problem is, if we were using Time Evaluation here, i know i couldve done it through TQTR, which woudve been very convinient. But we arnt generating quotas through the rule, neither are using TM00 or TM04.
Your help and input in this regard would be highly appreciated.

for #1..assuming your quota follows calendar year 01/01 to 12/31. Refer to above link for more details. The idea is to do the following 3 steps in order to generate a carry forward quota bank.
1. Setup a quota type "17" in the quota configuration and attach a daily balance time type to this quota type. E.g ZQ17
2. Write a custom PCR...to read remaining balance for current year's quota ban on 12/31..and store this in a different time type. ZREM
3. in the same PCR...on 01/01 (next day)...read the previous days balance in ZREM using HRS=LZREM...and assign this balance to ZQ17...this will generate you quota bank for 17 for the next year.
for #2...
instead of update program locking the previous years quota banks...its better for update program to create a IT2013 adjustment to 0 out the balance of the previous years quota. This can be an LSMW upload. You can get remaining balances of current quota banks for all applicable employees and then load IT2013...with reduce entitlement as radio button option.

    hope you are doing well. I was looping around for carry forward remaining absence quota from one year to next year
    Requirement:
    Absence Quota  for 20 days generated from 01.01.2012 to 31,12.2012, deducted 4 days on december 2012
    but absence quota to next year i.e from 01.01.2013 to 31.12.2013 is showing as 20 wherein actual should be 16
    Followed Woods documents at Carry Forward Absence Quota but failed
    Configuration of Time Types, PCR and Schemas as folows, request your kind attention at earliest as its business critical
    Configured a constant at T511k
    Created two time types
    For Quota
    For carry forward
    PCR as follows

    I just had a quick look at the PCRs and I think some things are wrong.
    First of all ZCMO controls if it's the last day of last month or not. If it is the schema will go through ZCFL.
    ZCFL reads the remain part of quota type 20. Please make sure you quota type is correct. I mean it's 20. I assume quota type is correct. PCR checks if remain of quota is equal or great than 20 then it put 20 into time type 0904.
    Until here you will have remain part of quota at last day of last month in time type 0904.
    Now you need a PCR to control if the date is first day of first month (01.01) reads value of 0904 and through a quota generation rule of V_T559L generate quota.
    I don't understand what ZCFT is for!

    When i try to generate the absences quota for employees without time evaluation using program RPTQTA00, I am not able to generate it.
    And i am getting "E You have not selected any generation rules".
    Kindly if any one come across this issue please throw some light and do a favour.

    Pls check the follwing tables if u have made correct assignments
    v_t559l
    v_554s
    v_556c
    Check Quoma Feature
    Check what status u selected in IT7
    Check if ur using correct Schema
    If ur Using RPTQTA00 then use No Generation,and if ur using PT60/RPTIME00 change it to Increase.
    Check if u have maintained correct quota groupings.
    Revert back if its not solved

  • Absence Quota Change ( Without Time Evaluation )-Change in Holiday Calendar

    Hi Experts, We have scenario where we need to change the holiday calendar. Add additional holiday. This can be done through SCAL and after that we can generate work schedule through PT01 for the month where the holiday is added. We are not using time evaluation. Our time manangement status is 0 in IT0007. The input I require is how to correct the absence quotas of employees for which they have applied leave for the period where the new given holiday is created. Please advise. Thanks in advance.     Hi,
    Standard SAP provides TCode PT_UPD00 for this purpose. It calls program RPTUPD00 which creates a batch input session for revaluating absence and attendance records. You can use this program to resave all the leaves which overlap the given date which is now a public holiday.

    hello gurus,
    can i get a solution on how to carry forward balance leave quota to the next year, if the balance is negative or positive. Am working on negative time. i went thru many threads but still confused as how to go about it. Do i need to write a PCR or only customization will resolve the problem??

    Thru Tcode PT50 u will be able to see the carry forward quota both positive & negative. If the dedcution to is 31.12.9999 then the carry forward is done automatically

    Pls share how to carry forward Earned Leave
    i.e our client having el 14 days and cl 12 days for everyyear.
    For example if x emp having opening bal of 14 el and 12 cl for 2007 01.01.2007 to 31.12.2007
    he availed 12 days of el and 10 days of cl
    my question is
    cl is not to be considered for carry fwd and 2 days of el should be carry fwd and the new el days becomes 2 (old)+14 days (new) =16 day for the year 01.01.2008 to 31.12.2008 .this is to done this for a large amt of emps

  • Need to carry forward absence quota

    Dear All,
    please help me....
    i need to carry forward leave from last period and generate new entitlement for the next period, by keeping last period remain quotas to a certain time type (ie : 0099),
    the leave period is 26 Dec - 25 Dec next year,
    but why everytime i run function P2006 in PT60, system keep updating the data in 2006 to be zero (0) ?
    ex :
    -i'm running PT60 for period 26/12/2009 - 25/12/2010 in order to generate 26/12/2010 - 25/12/2011 absence quota
    -all employee only have one abs quota data which is last period 26/12/2009 - 25/12/2010 with certain remaining quota --> PT60 always update this period's data to be zero everytime i run func P2006

    For Quota Carry forward, please refer the
    consulting note nr. 411854.
    In this note you will be able to find a very detailed description of
    the solution for your issue. More precisely the:
    "Scenario 1): a positive remainder exists at the deduction end date
    of an absence quota.
    An example for this is an absence quota of type 'Annual leave' the
    employee has not used up completely.
    Possible procedures:
    1.1) The remaining quota should be transferred to a new quota"

    For ex: Sick leave quota for this year is 30 days.
    Utilized sick quota is 15 days in this year. Remaining I want to tranfer to next year quota.
    Totally quota for next year should be 45 .

    For the Quota Carry forward process you require two write two PCR'S and then insert them.
    Please let me know what is the Time Evalution (+ or -ve) that you are following i.e TM04.

  • Absence quota zero after Time Evaluation

    Dear friends,
    We are generating Absence quota automatically after Time evaluation. But CL/PL/SL leave quota generated is zero after TE.
    Even I am not able to edit Absence quota(IT2006) manually or through IT2013.
    Please guide me, what needs to be done.

    Thanks for your response. No am not able to simulate the situation, it happen just once in PRD server.
    I do agree that some one might have chaned the value. But if the quota is generated by time evaluation then you cannot changed the record directly in infotype (2006). Time evaluation generated quota can be changed on through infotype 2013.
    I do request all the expert please share your thoughts.  Please do let me know what could be the problem here.

    Hi,
            I have many doubts about Quota generation with time evaluation. I need to discount two hours,for example,to a certain quota type at one particular situations and employees.
    I think I can do it using function QUOTA and operation UPDTQ. To do it I have to select the option "Increase" or "Replace" in table V_556A_B,isn´t it? .But my problem is that I need firstly a quota entitlement generated with RPTQTA00,for example:
    •I have to generate a entitlement of 30 hours for all employees of a certain personal division ("No generate" selected in V_556A_B and RPTQTA00 ).
    •After that,when I run time evaluation on fridays for example,I have to discount 2 hours of this entitlement of 30 (Increase or replace in V_556A_B,and use then Quota and UPDTQ).
    My real problem is to generate the quota by RPTQTA00 because I´ve checked "Increase"or "Replace" (V_556A_B) to permit quota generation (modification) with Time Evaluation.
    I hope my explanation was ok and somebody can help me please.

    I need to Generate Absence Quota Prorated Monthly on the following criteria.
    4.5 days Per month.
    0 - 5 day = 0.5
    6-10 days = 1.5days
    11- 15 days = 2.5 days
    16-20days = 3 days
    21 - 25 = 3.5 days
    26 and above = 4.5 days
    54 Quota Yearly entitlement
    Negative Time evaluation -
    Time evaluation run at end of the month.
    If use Base Entilement as .15 / days and daily accural in Table T559L ,
    then without any PCR quota is generated but for 31 days it generates 4.65 days and people joining middle of the month is not as per the criteria mentioned above ie as per number of day worked.
    Can any one guide me with the steps and PCR's required if any.

    As per my earlier thread description when i make it daily accural and assign this rounding rule then for 31 days it calculates 4.65 days and for people joining middle or last week of the month it is not prorating as per the requirement,

  • Absence quota changed to 0

    Hi,
    we generate  the absence quota through time evaluation. but after executing the time evaluation absence quota of EL lchanged to ZERO. How ever it has been corrected after executing the time evaluation once again.
    I just wanted to know, how it has changed to zero? is there any bug in the application or there some other reasons.
    Please let me know what could be reasons.

    Your Question # 1 - so if i want to just record the absences i shouldn't use time evaluation.
    Yes, If you are recording only absences and not recording any attendances, its not required to go for Time Evaluation. You need to maintain the Time Management Status as '0' in IT0007
    Question # 2 - if i want to record absences and the actual times of employee attendance just for reporting, without any payroll effect then i should use +ve (Time evaluation without payroll integration)
    Answer for this question is YES. But, there is a possibility of using -ve Time Evaluation also for this scenario (this can be achieved by making few modifications to schema -ve time schema)
    Question # 3 - if i want to do the same but with payroll effect, then i should use +ve (Time evaluation with actual times)
    YES. (But as is said for the above point, there is a possibility of using -ve time evaluation as well, this depends on client requirement)

  • Generate absence quota through RPTIME00

    Dear Gurus,
    I have to generate absence quota of 2 days every month for all employees and the generated absence quota for the current month will be added in the quota of previous month e.g (2+2=4). I use negative time management and want to use RPTIME00 for this purpose. There are two conditions for quota generation
    1. If the employee leaves by any reason and termination date is greater than 15th will be allowed 2 days
    2. If the employee leaves by any reason and termination date is less than 15th of the month will not be allowed
    Similarly in case of joining of new employee
    1. If the employee Joins by the date is greater than 15th will be not allowed
    2. If the employee joins by the date is less than 15th of the month will be allowed
    What type of schema can I use for this purpose and what will be time management status in infotype 0007 as I am using negative time management. If any expert can explain the source code of schema for this purpose.
    Furthermore can I use the Report RPTQTA00 for generation of remaining annual absence quotas at the same time?

    Hi,
    You can copy standard SAP schema for quota generation and customize. Quota name TQTA.
    You can read schema and see comments, help (F1) to understand what it's doing.
    Those quotas that are generated via schema cannot be generated manually.
