Budget Check by Internal Order

Dear all,
My settings for budget checking is working fine for year 2007 (current). Once budget is created for year 2008, there will be no budget checking for year 2007. Is budget checking only applied to either 2007 or 2008? More information on budget checking by IO is much appreciated.

In OKOB tcode check what u have maintained in the avalibility control block:
Activation type select '1: Automatic activation during budget allocation' from the drop down menu.

Try to restart your portal after creating <b>ServiceUser</b> in both UME and KM.
One more major difference between ServiceUser and normal portal user is that a ServiceUser does not have a UserAccount (IUserAccount)

Check on internal order

Hi,
I am using internal order as a settlement receiver for capital maintenance order.
But some times accounts department closes the internal order before capital maintenance order settlement on this internal order.
I want to apply some check on internal order so that during closing of internal order system should check all the capital order maintenance order whether they are fully settled or not.
Plz suggest how to achieve this.

You need to check with your FICO team for a suitable user-exit or BADI relating to internal orders.

Budget removal for Internal Order

Dear,
I had assigned budget to an internal order for year 2007. But now i am trying to remove that budget using Tcode K026. While selecting time frame system is giving error and asking me to select period only between 2008 to 2014.... Why this is so?

Hi,
I guess, your budget profile does not allow to touch budget 2 years after the current year. You can change the budget profile in customization (IMG - Controlling - Internal Orders - Budgeting and Availability Control - Maintain Budget Profile) and then modify your budget.

Budget Check in Purchase Order Delivery Schedule

Hi there,
I have created a Purchase Order with 50 units to be delivered in year 2009 and 30 units to be delivered in year 2010. An internal order is assigned to the purchase order, system prompt error message due to no budget maintained for year 2010.
Just wonder if it is possible to have the budget availability control check deactivate for year 2010, but still active for year 2009?
Please advise.

The overall is not selected. It is now checking annual budget, but due to year 2010 has no budget assigned, therefore, system prompt error message due to budget exceeded. I.e., 0 budget in year 2010 vs. the planned delivery of 30units or $30,000.
Anyway to set the system not to check budget for year 2010 but do check for year 2009.

Budget checking for Purchase Order

Hello All Experts,
Project Availability control: Tolerance limits
on All activity groups - warning message for 101%
on Purchase requisition - warning message for 101%
on Purchase Order - error message for 101%
1. Now we created a project with 5000 budget and Availability control activated.
2. We assigned material to activity and created Purchase requisition for 6000. Here system issued message there is error in commitment and allowed us to save the project.
3. We created Purchase order for 6000, system is allowing to create, that is any thing less then PR value, even though it is more than 101% and suppose to give the error.
How do we over come this situation and make the system to look Budget value not the PR Value.

Hi,
you have maintained activity groups ++ so system is considering All activity groups first for budget check instead of individual activity groups(PR,PO...). remove the ++ activity group and maintain individually(PR,PO,GI...) and check.

When I am trying to save Maintenance Orders after including reservations (in PM Module) which are raised against WBS Elements , I am getting an error specifying u201CError occurred during budget check, see cost protocolu201D.

Check in CJ30 whether any budget is allocated. And if it is, try to increase budget amt.
Check the assignment of WBS element in the order. Just try to remove WBS element assigned in order & try to save.

Budget control for Internal Order

Can any one tell me the setting for budget for internal order to avoid excess processing for procurement ?

You have to configure your GL accounts.
While creating GL a/c you will have to maintain Field status group as R017 Expense Accounts -Internal Order related in Control of doc creation in co code subscreen in tab Create/bank/interest.

Maint Expense Budgeting througg Statistical Internal order

Friends,
We are using statistical internal order budgeting purpose. We made internal order field mandatory for Account assignment category u2018Ku2019.
There is a requirement of budgeting maintenance expenses which have account assignment category u2018Fu2019 (used for Main. Order).
Do we have any option where I can provide account assignment Maint. order as well as Internal order (Statistical) for purchasing documents/ or any workaround for this situation.

Hi,
No, maintenance order and internal oder could not be entered simultaneously into one document. You might use statistical WBS for this purpose; then, you can enter maintennance order for assignment and WBS for budget control.

Budget check for purchase order

Hi everyone!
We have NO problems with budget check for the SC. But when we create a PO and exceeds the budget no message are displayed. The only thing that happens is that the PO gets status "error in process". But if we change the PO (still exceeding budget) we receive a correct message. Is this a program error?

Can cash advance check against internal order budget?

I thought only cost elements can check against budget or statistical asset elements. But for AP balance sheet (cash advance via special GL), is that even possible?

No Padmaja, Down payments made can be checked against budget using PS module
you specify a cost element in IMG to be used in the case of down payments and this is used to update PS module

Budget check for PM orders with main and sub-projects

Hello
We have a scenario wherein we have created a main project and a sub-project. We have linked the sub-project to main project. We have also assigned budget to the main project. We have created a PM order wherein we are trying to enter the costs by entering the hours of work. We have configured the budget profile and set the tolerance limites and assigned to main project. The requirement here is we need to have have costs check againt the budget that been available in the main project. But the system is checking the budget of the sub-project. Please share if any specific setting is required to check the budget of main project instea sub-project.

I also double checked, you are right there is no forum for PM, I dont think I could suggest much since there isnt a dedicated forum, but you can try posting this query in the ABAP forum probably some abap'r who has worked with PM module should have a look. Also if possible try to connect with one of the moderators out here and ask for assistance in starting something for PM
