Component backfush at each confirmation

Hello All,
I am using CO12 transaction for time reporting and operation cinfirmations. The first operation has backflush indicator. Some times 2 operators( employees ) work on the same first operations and their time is reported in CO12 on separate lines with only one of them has the yield quantity and other line has a yield of 0.
SAP system is suggesting the material to be consumed for each line of activities to be confirmed . Is this a normal behavior and should the system suggest component consumtion even though the yield quantity is 0.

Thanks for your help. I chcked and recreated transaction. System posted 2 GI for 2 lines , One with yoild of 1 and other with yield of 0 .

It posted 2 document . I checked Goods movement tab and it did show 2 lines. The component to be backflushed in batch controlled .

Dear All,
There is a production order. it has two operations. i have made three confirmations of each operation for that order. now i want to see the planned and actual consumption for each confirmation. how is it possible.
However i know that on order we can see planned and actual consumption but it is for total order but i want to see planned and actual consumption for each confirmation. Actually client wants that on 2nd confirmation what is planned consumption and what they consumed on actual. thanks

In standard SAP this type of report not be there, but u can make it by using BOM,Confirmation table, & material document table.
Use AFRU to get posted document no for confirmation & detail by joining it with MSEG by mblnr & MAZHR.
now u get plan component qty by using mast & stpo if ur bom not changed in Production order , if in order component may be change then use afko & resb table & by comparing base qty or order qty & confirmation qty get plan component qty for confirmation.

Can it be a seperate cost component structure for each company code?

Company Code No 1 Setting:
Company Code XXXX with Chart of accounts X(Quantity + Value updation in material type)
In the existing company code(XXXX) ,Cost component structure is defined as
All company code---->All Plants----> All Costing Variants -
>Cost component Structure AA
Company Code No 2 Setting:
Scenario:
Now I am creating a new company Code YYYY) which is is allowed for quantity updation alone and trying to create a product cost collector to carry out Production confirmation through Repetetive manufacturing (."Error = Cost object component split costed with Value of Zero"
Can it be possible to have a seperate cost component structure for each company Code?
Company Code YYYY with Chart of accounts Y which is different from Company code 1(Quantity alone in material type)
If possible ,Can anybody provide a procedure to do the configuration of Cost Component structure

As I understand your question, All the thing which are releted to costing are done only at the controlling area level not at company code.
As your req diffrent cost componenet for diffrent company code is depend up on how you define the controlling area.

Using a different default component state within each page state

I am using a custom component in multiple page states but would like to have a different default state (for the same custom component) within each page state.
Is there anyway to use a different default component state within each page state .
When I change the default state at a component level it seems to go across all my page states. Any solutions?

Rounding up component quantities during Production Confirmation

Hello gurus. I have the following situation.
I have a BOM for finished product "X" that contains a component "Y" and a box "Z". The box fits 16 of these pieces. So in the BOM I type a usage quantity of .062 for component "Z" (I'm limited to 3 decimals).
Then I create a Production order for X for 32 pieces. The component overview correctly shows me requirements of 32 pieces of "Y" and 2 pieces of "Z".
The problem is; when I confirm this order in CO11N; as long as I report 32 pieces, I get a required quantity of 2 pieces for "Z", but if I want to report a partial quantity of 23 pieces, then it tells me I only need 1 piece of "Z".
I still need to use the 2 boxes but the system is rounding down to 1 piece. Only if I type 24 pieces or more, it puts it up to 2 pieces.
Is there a way to make SAP always round UP these quantities. Instead or rounding down/up depending on the quantity?

I had the same problem.
If u keep the component quantity in fraction, the system will create more procurement proposal.
We need to keep the base quantity of the BOM header more and avoid the fraction in component qty. This will increase your accuracy when high amount of quantity requirment.
Anyway for the small amount system will do round off.
By practically also for 23 quantities you need 2 Boxes. ( as you said for 16 qtys one box).

Preventing additional component consumption after final confirm in PM Order

Hi,
I am trying to block the consumption of additional components after the final confirmation in a PM order, this is causing erroneous component consp. especially in orders with multiple operations.
The user may choose a confirmed operation while recording a component, system gives an error but it does not prevent the recording of that component, I want the users to get an error and stop there in such a case.

OK once more I thought I should add screens to better tell what I was trying to ask, I could not do that with the old forum layout. Anyways, could I get that result (in the screens) thru customization. There have been other comments relying on Orders' user statuses but with multiple operations they are not usable, every operation is confirmed individually and order status does either let or deny material movements thru the whole order (all operations)

Component quantites change during confirmation

We are having make to stock scenario ,components are issued as per bom to production order ,but while confirmation of production order the issue quantities are changed manually ,due to this miss match in inventory quantities occur.
How can we prevent quantity changes during confirmation of production order.

You can use transaction SHD0 to create transaction variantvariant for CO11N and hide Deletion button and make coponent quantity as out put only.

Issue in setting IBASE component of service confirmation item

Hello Experts,
I am facing a problem while creating a service confirmation item with reference to Service order items. I am using CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
bapi. Issue is in the Ibase component of the service confirmation items as it is always taking the Ibase component of Confirmation Header even though
i am explicitly passing the Ibase component of service conf item of with IT_SERVICE_OS parameter. I am making sure that i fill up MARKED_OBJECT correctly.
in CRMD_ORDER i can see the Ibase component of header and item both but Header one is the marked as main reference object.
Any idea why Component can not be set explicitly for for service confirmation item.

To achieve the above, try the below fix:

Confirmation of activity on material GR (MIGO for PO)

Hello Friends,
For non stock items, I am generating material requirement in network with item category "N". Based on my project requirement, I am putting requirement date for the material on "General Data" tab of component overview. I want my activity to be confirmed as and when I am making GR for this material. Please assume that there is single component planned for each of the activity.
Can anybody help me ?

For this kind of scenario you need to go for development !!

How can I delete an old Development Component (DC)

Hello,
We've a sca-package with Java-WebDynpro Code and try to deploy it, but unfortunately the deployment doesn't work.
Therefore we analysed the package and remarked, that two sda-components exist.
An DevelopmentComponent with our current sources and an older DC, but nobody knows wherefrom the older DC comes.
We wanted to delete this od component, but we can't delete it in any way.
A) We tried to open the DTR as WebDav and try to delete the folder, but only the error message "Unable to delete ..." appears.
It's only possible to delete the "ative"/"inactive"-folder, not the folder of the subtree.
B) If we import the configuration of the track in our NWDS, and create a DC of it, the component isn't shown, so we also can't delete it in our NWDS.
C) I didn't find a flag to delete it in the NWDI in the CBS, CMS or DTR-websiteu2026
D) Following the link /people/daniel.wirbser/blog/2005/07/27/how-to-delete-development-components-in-netweaver-java-development-infrastructure-jdi it's not possible to do Step 2, because the action for the folder is disabled.
This Dev component exists in each folder: dev/inactiv, cons/inactiv, dev/active und cons/active-Folder.
(You can see it in the NWDS in Perspective "Development Configuration", but it also isn't possible to delete)
I would be glad, if you have some more suggestions.

Try below steps to remove the DC from DTR...This will asnswer your A point.
1.Open the NWDs and go to DTR prespective.
2.Select the DC that you want to delete->inactive->dcs->.dcref
3.Delete .dcdef and then delete Sc folders
4.Expland all the folders select the files and right click+delete.
5.It will ask you to checkout the files before deleting.
6.After click on delete check in the activity.
7.Finally go to DTR workspace(http://,hostname>:port/dtr and delete the entire folder strucutre.
8.Go to NWDS ->DTR prespective,Delete all individual files uder src folder by making an activity.
9.After check in all the files will be deleted
10.Go to DTR workspace remove the DC folder.
Delete DTR workspace folder:SapNote:855537
After removing the Dc from DTR workspace,delete the deployable object from SDM also.
We wanted to delete this od component, but we can't delete it in any way.
For B point:
Go to NWDS ->WD prespective-.rightclick on the project+delete include all.It will remove the sc from your local workspace.
For C point:
Deleting the DC from DTR will delete the content from DTR workspace.Nothing to do with CBS and CMS.
For D option:
Follw the steps from 1 to 10 which i have given for point A.

TO confirmation for picking: difference between RF and non RF transactions

I am confirming one TO for picking in a outbound delivery process. My storage location is WM and HU managed and materials are batch managed.
I noticed if I confirm TO through RF transaction (LM61), I have the following results per material on outbound delivery:
one main item with 0 as delivery quantity
several sub items (9000x), with as many lines as HUs confirmed. Qty is HU qty
Now if I confirmed TO with non RF transaction (LT12), I do not have the same results:
one main item with 0 as delivery quantity
one or several sub items (9000x), with as many lines as batch confirmed (then potentially less sub items). Qty is aggregated per batch with several HUs.
I need to use TO confirmation through RF.
But this seems to have an impact on an inter company process where I'm using SPED functionality.
Indeed, when I process post goods issue in the issuing plant, I have an automatic creation of the inbound delivery for the receiving plant (with same HUs).
And then I have to proceed QM controls:
- if I have confirmed picking TO with RF, inspection lots are created for each HU.
- if I have confirmed picking TO w/o RF, inspection lots are created for each batch
I need to manage inspection lots per batch and confirm TO with RF!
I changed several QM settings on material, without success.
Now I would like to know if this could be much more managed on LE side, specifically TO confirmation.

I got a feed back out of this forum.
The solution is to change delivery update settings in interface between WM and shipping, so that update delivery is not done after each confirmation item but after the the whole TO confirmation.

Cost Component Structure (OKTZ) Issue - Max number of cost fields reached

Hello.
I'm having this issue in OKTZ when adding new cost component in an exisiting cost component structure. it says "maximum number of cost fields reached (40)".
not sure what to do with this.

Hi Andrew,
When yo create the Cost Components in the Cost Component Structure, inside each Cost Component, there will be properties relating to whether the Cost in that Cost Component is Fixed / Variable, relevant to Inventory Valuation or not etc.
To view these options...Go to OKTZ, select the line of your Cost Component Structure, double click on "Cost Component with Attributes" in the left side navigation. Now, you will be able to see the list Cost Components on right hand side. If you double click on any Cost Component, you will see the properties of that Cost Component.
There, you can see ther radio buttons "Variable Costs" and "Fixed and Variable Costs".
Now, in Standard SAP, you will be able to create a maximum 40 Cost Components. The behaviour of the system goes like this.... If one Cost Component is only "Variable Cost", it will take the space of one Cost Component out of the maximum 40. If one Cost Component is of "Fixed and Variable Costs", then it will take the space of two Cost Components out of the maximum 40. That means, if all of your Cost Components are "Fixed and Variable", then you will be able to create only 20 Cost Components.

The cost components are listed in a cost component structure that can contain up to 40 cost components (cost fields).
You can create up to 40 cost components that contain variable costs.
For cost components that contain full costs, the system creates a second cost field for the fixed costs. This means that you can create no more than 20 cost components that are full costs.

Cost component with attributes restricted to 20/40

Hello Gurus,
The cost components have been restricted to 20/40 (SAP standard) either by combining more than one values or accommodating the CO-PA requirements within that number. Now, the requirement is to have more number of entries than the max limit of 20 each (fixed/variable), system is throwing following message - Maximum number of cost fields reached (40) (Message no. KQ304).
Basic system design- The system is limited to 40 cost component fields. Each cost component can be set to variable or total (fixed and variable). However, the database has two fields: "total" and "fixed". "Variable" is derived. So if you set a cost component to "total" you, in effect, set up two fields (total and fixed) that need to be maintained. If you set a cost component to "variable" you, in effect, set up just one field (total) that needs to be maintained. So the basic limiting factor is that if you set every cost component to "total", you can only have 20 cost components.
Because of this system limitation the only option left for us is to utilize 40 elements at the most without the internal split of fixed and variable portions. Now, the split is also necessary as such this workaround solution also cant be implemented.
Is there any additional way (user exit or some additional solution) which will allow overcoming this limitation and increasing the table entries by more than 20/40?

The maximum number of cost fields defined in the system for saving the fixed and variable portions of the cost components has now been exceeded because of the new cost component.

Difference between component controller & Custom controller

what is the main difference b/w component controller , custom controller & interface controller.
i want to know the difference of these three in the real time environment.

Hi Suresh,
Component Controller and Custom Controller are more or less the same. Both are related to a particular component in the webdynpro application you create.
Component Controller:-
For each component of yours there will be a component controller, were in you can define context variables and methods, events etc.. This usefull while using models.
Simple example where we can see this is, when you create global context variable in this controller and map this variable to the view controller context variable of different view, which enables you to pass the value of the variable from one view to another.
Custome Controller:-
They also have the same the function but as the name suggest there function can be customised. That is we can have more than one custom controller for a component. This is usefull when we need to create seperate execute methods for inputs from model import( Both webservice and rfc call).So you can seperate each other. Example is there in the more sample codes and application section.
Interface Controller:
There is only one interface controller for a component. It is mainly used when we need to communicate between two components.There is sample application for communication between two components in the sample codes and application section.

Custom Component Classes

Hi all
I have been learning flex for a few months now and absolutely
loving it!
But there is one thing I can't get my head round. I use to be
a Flash user mostly which is probably why I am getting confused....
I want to be able to make custom components that all use one
custom class.
For example, I have custom canvas components that are 'pages'
which I am loading dynamically as and when needed. When they load I
want them to fade in using the fade effect. Up until now I have
written the code to do this on each component, which is quite
annoying considering I have many pages.
I would like a custom class with the code in it for the fade
which every 'page' component uses, so each will fade in when
loaded.
I could this really easily using MovieClips in flash, but
flex seems different. Maybe I am getting confused with regards
Canvases and MovieClips.
Please can someone help me? :)

Why not just define the effect in the main file and then
apply it from the
outside, rather than locking your component into one effect:
