During Inprocess Inspection partial qty confirmation

Hi Experts,
There is a requirement in Inprocess Inspection (for 03) find here the detail.
Ex: Routing Operations
      010       Machining
      020       Milling
      030       Inspection
      040       Turning
      050       Inspection
      060       End Cut
Challenges :
1) Without confirmation of operation 020 system should not allow for result recording.
2) If partial qty accepted system should allow on those qty for further operation 040 confirmation.
3) How many operations inspected, accepted qty operation wise, can we get through std
Kindly suggest
Thanks
Shiva Patil

Go here:
SPRO > Production> Shop floor control> confirmation> define confirmation parameters
Maintain
1)Operation sequence u2013 error when order sequence is not adhered to
2) Over delivery u2013 Error when over delivery tolerance is exceeded
3) Results Rec. (QM)- Error message if no Insp results exist
So what these setting helps is that
1)All operation has to be confirmed operation wise means 0010 has to be confirmed for confirming 0020 operation. SO production guys can only confirm 0040 operations only after 0030 operations is confirmed by quality personal.
2)Over delivery is not allowed means of in 0030 operation if only 50 quantity is confirmed in 0040 operation only 50 can be confirmed. Production people cannot confirm more than 50 quantities
3) Also PP personal cannot confirm operation 0030 through C011N till the result recording of that operation is done through QA32.
Hope this helps to start.
Thanks!!!

  • Inspection point qty confirmation for operation - INprocess Inspection

    Hi Experts,
After doing partial confirmation in the Result recording, the partial confirmed qty moves down to the next operation and is confirmed. But using QM result recording when I try to post the next partial qty, the system cancels the previous confirmation although the next operation has been confirmed for the partial qty. And I am able to confirm the full qty for the operation
How to avoid this situation ?
    Regds
    Jomy

    Dear Jomy,
Please use 150 as the inspection point in your routing header.
But please make sure that in configuration you have this maintained.
SPRO>QM> Quality planning > inspection planning > general > define identifier for inspection point> select the inspection point you are using >double click> function module> maintain in Automatic creation of insp. Points > maintain this function module QAPP_CUST_IP_CREATE > tick the use function module
Test with a  new order and lot.  Each time you go for RR it will go for new partial lots. So confirmation will get added up as in  co11n process.
    Hope this helps

  • Source Inspection Partial Qty GR

    Hi Experts,
In Source Inspection Scenario there is a requirement, before GR quality wants to accept partial qty.
Ex: I st case: As per PO qty 10 PCs after inspection 6 accepted and 4 rejected during GR system should allow accepted qty only.
IInd case: As per PO qty 10pcs he will inspect and accept 2 qty and system should allow only for 2 qty not for all 10 qty.
How it is possible kindly explain me
    Inadvance Thanx
    Shiva Patil

    Hi
Its not possible to have partial Qty GR for the source inspection as there is no stock posting screen in the souce inspection.
Either you have to accpet all or reject all

    Hi Mathew,
Create sampling procedure with fixed sample and give sample size = 1. Assign this sampling procedure for the characteristics of the in-process materials in Routing/Master Recipe etc. For sample size calculation at-least one characteristic should be required characteristic for the Material.

  • Qual Insp:Perform partial qty REJECT in QA12 for Material GR inspection lot

    Dear All,
Please advice me for a scenarion.
I perform MIGO-GR - MType 103 for 5 qty, material moves to GR Blkd Stk.
Then perform MIGO-RelBlkSTk - MType 105 for 5 qty, the material moves from GRBlkStk to QualtInspStk.
The perform QA32 for the insp lot , and ACCEPT the 5 qty to UnrestStk.
This acceptence movement calculates the Vendor Evaluation Quality criteria also.
I can also REJECT the above inspection lot by QA12 : Change Usage Decision, this rejects the full 5 qty, and this also has impact in vendor evaluation quality criteria rating. Then Return to the Vendor the 5 qty.
    My query is:
Now if i want to return PARTIAL qty to the vendor ALONG WITH VENDOR RATING RETURN CALCULATION.
I am unable to enter partial qty in the QA12, in the 'Inspection Lot tab' in the 'To Be Posted' column.
The whole column is non-editable, is it standard by default as non-editable?
Am i performing the right steps for my requirement?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joy Ghosh

    Hi
In QA12, after entering appropriate Usage decision, click on "defective quantity" tab at header, and there enter the quantity.

  • Sales order qty not confirmed when delivery done with partial qty

    Hi Guru's
    Need your help............
We have issue in drop shipment scenario process. Sales order created with 10 line items from CRM and order released from CRM and replicated order to ECC and backend created PR also. After that user set reject status for all items so that PR line items also deleted, again user released rejection status for all items and line items updated in the same PR with different line item number for materials then PO & GR also done in ECC and stock also allocated for sales order line items but still sales order qty not confirmed in CRM sales order.
I checked all configurations regarding availability check but could not found.
    Example:
Sales order line item qty: 4            -      2 qty confirmed (delivered).
For remaining qty (2 items)I have done GR. After GR It is allocated to sales order but it is not confirming the order quantity.
plz help me to fix this issue?
    regards
    sai

    Hi,
Please check In ERP transaction OVZJ, for the sales org, distribution channel, and division that is being used in the affected sales orders, set the Avail. Check Rule to 'E'. Then retest the issue, as this might help.

  • Inprocess inspection mapping

    Hi,
I am working on inprocess inspection. Requirement is like this.
Material is having 6 operations. During the 3rd operation two inspection characteristics need to be checked at regular intervals. So I have activated inspection type 03 in the material master QM view and i have assigned these two inspection characteristics to 3rd operation in the routing of the material. Now these inspection characteristics need to be checked repeatedly after completion of production of 25 Units till the end.   so in the routing header i have assigned Insp. Points as 990 Test point: Container, date and in the routing in the 3rd opeartion details in the QM inspection points tab I have activated qty related and given qty interval as 25 units and Insp.pointCompletion as automatic valuation based on inspection point definition.
Now I have created a production order for the material 150 units and released the order and inspection lot got generated.
Now confirmed the first and second opeartions with full qty as 150 units with CO11N transaction. Now when I do the partial confirmation for 3rd operation for qty 25 untis system should Automatically generate inspection point and allow for results recording of the inspection lot and when i do again partial confirmation of 25 units next time it should create another inspection point and allow RR and this should go on till total confirmation of 150 untis ( total 6 inspection points 125/25=6 for the inspection lot). How to map this.. I am unable to proceed further. Actually how it is generally mapped in the system. Kindly guide me.
    thanks
    Vinamrath

Inspection points are never automatically generated unless you develop specific FM's and config them into the inspeciton point identifier configuration.  If you go to the FM area of the inspection point identifer you can get quite a bit of help on these and there is internal documentation on the SAP example FM's for this.  I think all the example FM's start with QAPP if I remember correctly.
Typically you would manually create the inspection point in the 03 inspection lot and enter in the qty of the material being inspected.

  • Inprocess inspection lot quamtity & Serial number

    Hello,
Sr. No. is generated after confirmation of sales order.
The production order is released & the inprocess inspection lot is generated. Production order quantity is 20.
    Now the question is:
    1. Why the inspection lot quantity always appears as '1'.
    2. If in inspection setup, sr. no. possible is checked, then why (or how) sr no.s can be seen automatically during result recording (inspection unit number) field.
    Regards

    Hi Hemant ,
In configuration for serial No go to spro ->plant maintenance and cutomer service ->Technical Object--> serial No management -
    >Serial No profile -
    > serial no procedure -
    > Qmsl and mmsl  serial No usage should be 3
so that what ever serial no assign to the GR will coming in the inspection lot and at the time od ud you can select accepted serial no only

  • INPROCESS INSPECTION DETAILS

    Hi experts
I am new to the forums.
I have a scenario for inprocess inspection. There are 5 processes -->1. Mixing 2.heating 3.colour check 4. addition  5. Ph value check. The quantities of the 5 process are 100,150,150,200 & 200 respectively. How can I frame the inprocess check that I will involve all the 5 steps and conform the final quantity. Your guidance will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Pranav

    Dear Pranav,
You have mixed up the thing little bit here. See One part is about QC operations
Second one is Confirmation of quantity and third one you introduced is BOM.
So pls have explanation over it.
Above all one thing is sure that you need to create BOM for it and the BOM will be linked with routing via the Production Version. Use trx code C223
    1. Mixing - here 2 components with weight 100 (say 50 +50 kg) mixed -no qc inspection
Don't assign any MICs to these phase / operation.
There is a functionality called Component assignment, in routing, assign the relevant component to this operation. So system will ask to issue these only while you will be supposed to confirm this phase in CO11n
    2. Same heated (same qty inside reactor -100 kg) -no qc inspection
Don't assign any MICs to these phase / operation.
Here no any component assignment is required, as per your description.
    3. Colour check - here qc inspection needed (qty same=100 kg)
Assign the relevant MICs to this operation.
4.addition- new material extra 100 kg addition (total 200 kg) -no qc inspection
Assign the material that is intended to add, in the component assignment for this phase / operation.
    5. ph check - ( final 200 kg inside reactor) here also qc check needed
Assign the relevant MICs to this operation.
Now what I would suggest is you keep one more phase like (additional Step 6) for keeping the final yield confirmation in PP control. Or if dont wish to do such them keep it be as it is. Put the control key that makes the auto Goods receipt against the order, to this operation.
I think this will make your scenario bit more clear.
Pla revert if further assistance required.

    Shyamal

Good point put by Keeti there, you must go with the sample management.

    hi
If results are not recorded and operation are not confirmed then do the following
    1. goto change routing / recipe -- change the specification
    2. go to prod/process order  --read PP master data
then do RR new spec. get reflected during result recording

  • Exit For Inprocess Inspection

    Hi All,
I have an issue regarding in-process inspection. With the inspection type 03 , when process order is created immediately
inspection lot is created .In this case the system will allow me to carry out conformation after each operation results according.
i need an exit  like after confirmation only , i should be able to do results recording. How to achieve this . Please let me know is it possible ti achieve through any User Exit.
    Regards,
    Madhu.

    Dear,
Inspection Plan is similar to routing, which will indicate what are all characteristics need to be checked / inspected when you receive a material. Is a master data. Once the inspection lot is created we will check the inspection plan and perform the inspection and give the defects recording and usage decision for the inspection lots.
So for inspection type 03 use routing with usage as 1 and status as 4 and control key as PP04 to specify the inspection characteristics.
when u cofirm that perticular operation it will ask to record the results. Inspection lot get genarated during order release this we can see in the order header data assignment tab. PP04 assignement says this operation is relevent for inprocess inspection and we need to assign MIC's for this which are relevent created in QS21 for this also sampling procedure created in QDV1.

  • Cancellation of UD of inprocess inspection lot

    Hi all,
Can I not do cancellation of inprocess inspection lot  ?....
    partha...

    Hello,
If you just want to cancel the insp lot then
GOTO QA12, enter your insp lot no.
Select usage decision at left top -> Functions-> Cancel lot. But in this case, if insp lot has been processed & stock have moved to unrest. then it will not show in insp stock after this process.
If you want to transfer stock from unrest. to insp. stock then you have to cancel GRN no.
GOTO MB01 enter PO no. & Mov type & select the option unrest. in stock type.
    Try it & confirm back.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • In process Inspection  Lot Qty and Actual Lot quantity difference.

    Hi Experts,
In case of  In process Inspection
Scenario : 1. Production Order created, released but before saving the qty is changed.
                    2. Production Order created released and saved. Then qty is changed in Change Prod order txn.
These scenarios are causing a discrepancy in  Inspection  Lot Qty and Actual Lot quantity. Is there any method to avoid this ?
This can be made correct in  Inspection lot by resetting the sample calculation. But once confirmation has started for Prodn Order (not necessarily QC operation) or  RR has been done  resetting is not possible.
Is this the std behavior ? Disallowing the resetting once RR done seems OK, but even if any of the operation in Prodn Order is confirmed it still give status error while resetting. Canceling all the confirmation all the way back  also does not solve the problem.
    Any suggestions ?
    Regards
    Joe

    Hi
Although your suggestion is valid, it is not practical from user point of view.

  • Partially cancel confirmation relating to WM

    Hi all,
Please help with this business case:
After confirming a process order, components are auto GI from Production Sloc, stock is auto GR into Finished Goods (FG) Sloc; a TO is auto created and auto confirm with 2 Storage Unit (SU) 1001 & 1002, from Storage type 901 to s.type 302 in FG Warehouse.
Then we transfer these two pallets to BoF Warehouse and export pallet 1001 to another plant, pallet 1002 stays in BoF WH.
Afterward, we find that pallet 1002 was over - confirmed, and need to be canceled.
The problem is we cannot pull pallet 1001 back because it's already received by another plant, so we can only partially cancel confirmation of pallet 1002.
My question is: Is it possible to partially cancel confirmation for pallet 1002? if yes, how to do that?
    Thank you very much,
    Duc.

    Hi Mario,
Actually I cannot fully understand your answer. I've tested this way:
1/ using COR6N (as we previously confirmed by COR6N), yield qty = qty in 1 pallet, change 101 to 102 for finished goods & all components, then post.
2/ Manually reverse the GI of components that were not backflushed
3/ After step 1, a TR is auto created. Create TO from this TR, storage unit number = SU number we want to cancel. This TO is auto confirmed after creation. After this step, stock has already been adjusted at WM level.
Using this way,  stock of FG & components at IM and WM level are okey. It's seem that there's no problem, which mean we can use this procedure to cancel partially.
Is there any thing risk when using this? Do you have any advise?
    Regards,
    Ba Duc.
