Funds Management-AVC Check in PR after release 3

Hi,
We have 4 release steps for PR approval.
User will create PR with Rs. 1 as price.
1) This will be approved by PM.
2) Purchasing Department shall enter the price and specification of the material. and approve it.
3) In Release 3, Budget owner shall approve the PR.
now client wants to check Avaialability control at Release 3 and not at Release 2, when price is entered by purchasing deptt.
I have created derivation steps.. through which Fund Center and Commitment Item is getting populates automatically at stage 1.
Ques 1) Is there any option by which AVC check in PR can be activated at Release 3??
Ques 2) If I use dummy fund center at stage 1, Is there any option where at Release 3, budget owner should get the error message if dummy fund center is not changed??
Regards,
Jyoti

Hi Jyoti,
I cannot vouch that this scenario is possible, as it's an intervention in core FM processes, but you can look at BADIs:
FMAVC_DERI_AFMA or FMAVC_ENTRY_FILTE. Maybe, with proper definition it will be possible to meet your requirements.

  • Funds Management - AVC is not checked

    Hello,
We have customized AVC & made settings for Actuals/Commitments usage @80%=Warning, @90%=Email to responsible person for Funds Center & if the Actual/Commitment usage crosses 100% of the budget, then system should give an error.
Inspite of the above settings some of the commitment items have already crossed the 100% limit without giving any warning message or error. It means, system is not checking the availability control.
Can somebody help in this regards?
    Thanks & regards,

    Hi
Check the AA Derivtn and Update checkbox in Funds Management Government --> Actual and Commitment Update/Integration --> Activate/Deactivate Funds Management for the relevant FM area.

  • Budget check at service entry sheet release in funds management

    Dear Forum,
We implemented the funds management recently we have the requirement like below
Generally in FM at the time of service Purchase order creation system will consume the budget and at the time of service entry sheet release the consumed budget in the purchase order level will adjust. Now the business requirement is that they don’t want to check the budget at service purchase order level but they want budget check at service entry sheet level.
This is the case only for service PO’s.
If anyone have same scenario please share your views.
    Regards,
    Ravi.

Maybe you can try having the account assignment 'U' in the service PO which will then allow you only to enter the account assignment only in the service entry sheet for budget checking.

  • PSM-FM-Reversal of funds management document after change in acc.assignment

Good day we recently went live with a component of Funds Management i.e. Availability Control on Cost centers and cost elements. We update BCS with the plan values and actual/commitment items in Finance/CO. We do our planning in CO.
    The solution is working reasonably well but we have encountered a problem for which we are unable to find a solution. The problem is best illustrated with an example;
    1. Create purchase requisition with Account Assignment Category "K" = Cost Center with transaction ME51N
    2. Account assignment = cost center and cost element. A funds management document is created upon saving of the transaction.
    3. Purchase Req. is released with a release strategy (transaction ME54N)
    4. After purchase requisition release the account assignment for the cost element is changed by the user. This occurs sometimes during the execution of the business process.
    5. When a purchase order is created with reference to this purchase requisition with transaction ME59N  the system references the original funds management document which means when the account assignment was changed the funds management document was not reversed and a new funds management document created for the changed account assignment.
    6. The BUDCON report transaction FMRP_RW_BUDCON thus displays the commitment under the incorrect commitment item as the change in account assignment is not reflected in Funds Management. We have a one to one relationship between cost elements/commitment items and cost centers/funds centers as per the derivation strategy.
    My question is;
Is this normal standard SAP standard behavior or are we missing some configuration that will enable the creation of a new funds management document and if so where do we configure such?  I must mention our solution is completely SAP standard.
    Thank you in advance.

Hi Mike, nice to meet you.
I think u should do an entire test with TRACE on, and u will find the problem, and how to fix it (at FMDERIVE of course).
First: Have a look at note [666322|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/666322], go to FMDERIVE and turn ON the trace.
Then, run all the process ... from ME51N to the end...
I agree with Eli, u must allow overwriting of existing values at FMDERIVE rule...

  • GL account linkage with activity group for AVC- Funds management

    Hi,
I have activated (BCS) funds management in my system. My client wants that system will give error message for some expense GL accounts and for other expense GL accounts it will only give information message.
For that i have created new activity group for AVC but i have no idea how we can link GL accounts with activity group for AVC.
    Request immediate help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Manisha

    Hi,
The correct way to deal with this is not with activity groups, but with tolerance profiles. Create tolerance profiles with error and warning messages accordingly and then create a tolerance derivation strategy, which on the basis of commitment item, will derive the relevant profile.

  • How to release the budget in SAP Funds Management

    Hi
How to release the budget in SAP Funds Management. Please let me know the proceedure and the transaction code
    Tks

    Hi,
The answer depends on if you are using Former Budgeting or BCS.
    1) If you are using Former Budgeting:
    a. You should use transaction FR51 to enter Release or FR55 to distribute it.
    2) If you are using BCS:
    a. Within FMBBC transaction you have the option to release the budget, use document type as REL (release).
    b. You can activate the automatic release for each budget profile in Customizing of Funds Management Government.   To do this, in IMG select Funds Management Government ® Budgeting and Availability Control (Former Budgeting) ® Budget Profiles (Former Budgeting) ® Set Up Budget Profiles.
With the automatic release, the corresponding background releases for expenditures FM account assignments with budget transfers are also posted. Take note that the maximum amount that this automated release can transfer from the sender is the amount that has already been released.
If you do not activate the automated release, the maximum amount that can be transferred from the sender is that which has not yet been released.
    c. You can use the mass transaction for release, which is FMMPRELE.
I hope that this answer your inquiry.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa Barth.

  • Funds Management and Budget Check on Settlement of Assets

    Dear All
We are implementing Funds Management module with BCS as budgetary tool. We have a requirement like this. At the time of PR or PO for AUC, budget need to be checked, whereas at the time of settlement of this AUC to a fixed Asset there should not be any budget check
Kindly let me know whether, this scenario can be mapped in SAP using Funds Management Module
    Regards
    Vivek MG

    Hi,
You can build a derivation rule in FMDERIVE basing it on business transaction field. In case of assets settlement, you can derive a dummy commitment item.

I believe, I answered that in your previous thread.

  • In Funds Management-Assigned budget is more than the release

    Hi Experts,
We have Funds Management active and in few cases the assigned budget is more than the released budget for a funds center and commitment item. We observed that the material consumption (stores requests) entries get posted even when there is no released budget.
Can you suggest ways to control the posing of material consumption entries when there is no released budget in Funds management.
    With Regards
    ACR.Ruben

    hi
Try there is a USER _EXIT for Material consulmption for the Movement type 261 GI to Production .
    Extension SAPLFMFA, component EXIT_SAPLFMFA_001
through this you can stop the Material consumption additions to fundcenter through the commit ment item.

  • Double Check of Budget in Funds Management at the time of Full Settlement

    Hello Experts,
We are in porcess of implementing MYERP2005.  Currently we are on 4.7 EXT 1.0.
In 4.7 when we do full settlement the system to the fixed assets the system was configured not to check the budget in Funds Management.  The budget is checked at the time creation of PO.
However I have issue with MYERP2005, i.e., when we do the full settlement to the fixed assets it checks the budget again.  I know there must be some switch in configuration that allows not to check the budget again at the time of settlement to the fixed assets.
Does any body know where I need to change the configuration?
Thanks for looking into this matter.

    Hi
If I can understand you correctly, you are talking about the asset under construction which are done in either PS or Internal Order.
Since the budget is checked up when it hits the PS or internal order, hence it is not required to check up again at the time of settlement.
Since settlement is controlling transaction, remove the relevant controlling business transactions under PSM-FM-Former budgeting->Integration->>
Please Assign Points if the solution is found useful.

  • Funds Management-Replication to ECC-FPO Bdoc Error-Not known in CO

    Hi All,
We have configured sap crm funds management integrated with sap crm campaign management.Below is the flow.
    a) Create Fund Plan & Release it
    b) Create fund for the fund plan above, post some budget, have some attributes like marketing org to determine in campaign & release it.
    c) Assign the fund plan & fund to a campaign. Allocate some amount in the planning profile and release the campaign to create fund usages for the budget allocated. These fund usages will have some fund usage items which tracks how much amount each fund has been assigned.
    d) Create some purchase requests and settle them in ECC and download the actuals to CRM which will create the appropriate fund usage for the same campaign as in c, capturing the settlement.
    e) Run the accrual calculation program to calculate the accrual & then run the accrual posting program to post the accruals to ECC.
After step e, system creates fund postings with "posting transaction" as "accure" and which in turn creates CRM_FM_FPO Bdoc which gets transferred to ECC.
We are getting issues on this BDOC with error as " Object not know in CO". This error is being raised from ECC and when we debugged we found out that the external object id [Fund usage items, in the fund posting transaction or in the items of the BDOC] doesn't exists or not being created in controlling table iaom_ext_obj_inf.
By seeing these, in my opinion we seem to be missing some configuration or some important settings in either in MW or in Controlling in ECC.
Can anyone in the group please let us know what we are missing here ?
    Thanks for your time.
    Amol

    Hi Chandra,
I've the same problem. I've checked the notes and all the settings provided in them are correctly set up in my CRM system.
Can you suggest another kind of solution?

  • Activate / Deactivate Funds Management

    Hi,
I am getting issue in posting my MIRO entries for 2014, and I have activated the BCS part from 1st Apr 2015. System is giving the error of "FI 311 No Commitment Items entered in item xxxxxx"
I have posted few transactions in Mar 2015 through FB60 which were posted perfectly, few service entries were also posted which were entered after FM activation. In the year 2015 revenue invoices were also posted perfectly.
But there are these MIRO invoices where service entries were entered and released before activation of funds management. Now this has halted our ending process serverly. Consultants are working on the issue, but time is running out.
Meanwhile, can the below be the solution
I want to know, with this scenario can I deactivate Funds management and also deactivate "update" will  this step enable me to post the pending MIRO documents where I am getting issue (Error FI311). I will stop posting for Apr 2015. Once these documents get posted I will again activate the Funds management and activate the "Update"
    Please guide
    Regards
    Shailesh

That's ok, but... did you think or test in QA system, the system behavior before FM is activated?
Because in MM flow, you can't ignore the data history flow.
    I mean, you have:
    PR - PO - MIGO/MIRO
Suppose that you activated FM/BCS between PO and MIRO.
How do you expect the system react?
I think you must convert historical data to fill FM objects.
Check here at scn, a lot of discussion about this topic.
