HUs in OD - at a non-HU storage location

On creating HU in OD, the OD are created at non-HU storage location, this is a problem creating subsequent ID on the same.
Any idea ??

Hi Lokesh.
First pack the product as you want in pack storage type and then move the HU to HU storage type.
Step 1 >>/scwm/adhoc to move mat to pack storage type.
step 2 >> pack the product in HU
step 3>> move HU to HU req storage type = /scwm/adhu.

    I need to create an inbound delivery document for non-WM managed storage location and "copy" the quantity into the "putaway quantity" field automatically. Is there any setting to do this automatic assignment? As far as I know, if the storage location is non-WM managed, we usually need to manually enter the putaway quantity as part of the verification process during the PGR (goods receipt).

  • UD for a Material in HU-Storage location

    Hi Gurus,
    I have situation where Stock posting tab is not coming while doing the UD for a material
    Process flow is below:
    1. Creation/Release of Process - Inspection lot get created since early lot creation status REL CALC
    2. GR of Process Order is done in MIGO in Hu storage location
    3. Inbound Delivery is created (WM integration)
    4. Inbound Delivery is processed with TR creation/Confirmation
    5. Stock can be seen in Q under HU active storage location & Material document is created in IM . Inspection lot status is same
    6. Result recording is done against Lot Status INSP RREC
    7. While doing UD. Tab for Stock posting is missing. Status UD   ICCO CLAS STUP
    This inspection type has following settings: - tick post to insp stock, Insp with task list , early lot creation , auto UD etc
    Not sure what I am missing some settings since that is HU storage location
    Please guide

    I tested as per suggestion but that is also not working basically no inspection lot is getting created for the GR after completion of WM transaction
    I have tested my senerio for non-HU storage location (doing GR in no-HU storage location ) & that works correctly . After UD i was able to see tab for stock posting & stock get posted successfully
    I think need expert advice who has work on QM-WM integration part ... can we able to post the stock from Quality stock from HU storage location to unrestricted use using only IM transaction ( QA11/12 ) or do i need to perform some additional steps in WM ?

    I have created a new Storage location which I would like to use to transfer materials to a warehouse storage bin.
    How do I make it so that a storage location is connected to my warehouse?  This is so that I can use MIG to transfer materials from a non-wm storage location to this new wm storage location.
    My end goal is to transfer materials from this wm storage location and put them in a storage bin.

    You need to assign the plant+storage location to a warehouse.
    Go to SPRO -> Enterprise structure ->Assignment ->Logistics execution ->Assign warehouse number to plant/storage location.

  • Storage Location for NON valuated material in MIGO

    Hi friends ,
    I have created a purchase order for NON-Valuated material (UNBW) with Account Assignment "K".I did check the material type UNBW configuration where only Value Update is checked for my Plant.
    Now at the time of MIGO , system is asking for Storage lcoation (mandatory) and after MIGO system also updates quantity in Storage Location entered in MIGO.
    while in normal cases (like ROH material type) , if we create Account Assigned PO ( like K) , system neither ask for Storage lcoation at the time of MIGO , nor system updates Qty at any storage location.
    As per my understanding , if we create Purchase Order with account assignment K , system updates value in consumption and doesn't update Qty in stock (although material is stockable) .....which is simply like immediately issue of material to cost center.
    Therefore wondering why system is updating Qty for NON-VALUATED material.
    Does non valuated material means , POST value to Cost center (for account assignment K) and Update Qty in stock ?
    Like in case of Account Assignment , value gets charged to WBS and qty gets updated as special stock "project"

    By definition UNBW's are ony qty updating and have no value assoicated with them. Since the system needs to stock this qty somewhere it by deafult asks for a Sloc.

  • Restore Database to non-ASM Storage - Issue with Bigfile Tablespace

    I have been testing a restore of my prod database that uses ASM (and oracle managed files) for storage to a different server and non-ASM storage. Oracle version is 10g EE. My database has one bigfile tablespace and it's datafile is about 250GB. The restore fails and it has something to do with the bigfile tablespace.
    Here is the rman restore script:

    Why at the beginning is it "creating" datafile 11? Then it doesnt even say it is "restoring" that datafile. Only restoring datafiles 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12,13,14,15, and 16.
    When it creates datafile 11 it is only 26GB, that is much smaller than it should be according to v$datafile view on source prod database. Also even though it says it is creating datafile 11 as /ora02/db/ehr/apollolob01.dbf it actually creates it as an oracle managed file at /ora02/db/ehr/EHR/datafile/o1_mf_apollolo_6crxyqs2_.dbf
    After the datafiles are restored the "switch datafile all" command fails:

    So my question is how do I get this database restored to non-ASM (and non omf)?

    So I tried using a different scn with my "set until scn #####" then the restore created 2 datafiles. The datafile for apollolob and apollotab02.dbf. So I think I have narrowed the problem to be that I am not using the correct scn number so RMAN can successfully restore those datafiles and recreates them instead. How do I find the correct scn to use to do a successful restore of the entire database? I have seen different methods on the web, but cant figure it out. Ive used "select archivelog_change#-1 from v$database;" and I also did "list backup of archivelog all" and used the latest sequence number. How can I find the correct scn to use so the entire database will restore?

  • Non storaged material in Storage Location after mov 653

    I have a non storage material.
    when the return delivery picking was done SAP let to put a storage location. for this Delivery item category wit has not flagged "Do Not Check Storage Location". So it has to be checked. Its also true that we have Storage location is absolutely necessary, so without storage locatin we cant deliver, but we should have an error message and not let us deliver using a storage location when its a not storaged material.
    And the problem is that when you have the material in the storage location you cant do nothing because the material has no storage data.

    For the Return delivery , delivery item category is not flagged with the feild "Do Not Check Storage Location " . It is not checked because a Returns order are mostly created wrf to sales order / billing document/delivery document. So once you copy the data to the returns order and when you do Post Goods Receipt then at that time there is no need to copy the sloc.
    But ,if the material doesn't have storage data then we cant retrieve how much stock is available in storage locations. So we have to run the report to know how much stock is available in the storage location

  • How to create a local, non-clustered storage pool

    Hello,
    I have setup a two-node Failover Cluster, with a shared SAS DAS. So far so good.
    One of the nodes also has internal disks that I wish to use for system backups.
    This storage pool should not be clustered, as the disks cannot be seen from the other node. The trouble is that as soon as I create the pool it gets added to the cluster (in failed state).
    In fact, the "Storage Pools" window in the server manager will only show me the "clustered storage spaces", with my internal disks in the Primordial pool.
    Get-StorageSubSystem will show me both subsystems (Clustered Storage Space on ... + Storage Spaces on node-1) but fails to create a storage pool on the "local" subsystem.
    How can I create a local, non clustered storage pool on internal disks ?

    Hi,
    SpackTime_ is right, the DA storage usually for the localdata backup, but if you want to use for remote computer backup, you can share a floder then you can storage your backup, but also that backup won't work the shared computer crash.

  • Repair flow (material non valuated) must be transferred to storage location

    Hi,
    We create an Repair Sales Order.
    Then we receive the material (Mvt 451) in non val. stock.
    Then we like to transfer to the shipping storloc. but should not be valuated. From the shipping stor.loc. we would like to create a delivery and send the repaired material back.
    How can we transfer the received material (mvt 451) to a storage location without adding value. Which movement type can we use?

    We receive the material with mvt 451 in return stock.
    So it is initial not available for transfer. But if I transfer it then it gets valuated. This is what we do not want. Which movement type do I need to use (or more steps) to move it from 451 return stock to an other storagelocation without value creation.

  • Dell PowerEdge Servers with non-dell storage

    yes I do I have a few 2950's that I run with WD red drives they work fine. moslty that stuff is to keep warranties upheld and to keep repeat customers coming back. its up to you how much you want to deal with. some of the raid functions and raid configurations may not be available if they have custom firmware from Xbyte or require custom firmware installed.personally if the server hardware is past dell's warranty I am using the cheapest most reliable drives I can get my hands on because at that point its on me any way. that also means wiping the PERC controller to default and rolling with default settings and then modifying them to what I need.Then again it goes back to how much responsibility do you want on you for this hardware. if you want as little as possible play by your distributors rules and have little or take it all yourself...

    I am pricing out some refurbished Dell PowerEdge servers primarily from xbyte.com and received feedback from them that they are extremely apprehensive about using non-dell storage in the server due to the custom firmware in the drives themselves. That being said they offer non-dell hard drives with custom xbyte firmware which apparently work... and yet they will still report a non-mission critical error in the manager.
    Does anyone run production servers with 3rd party drives? If it is not recommended to do so, does anyone run the "Xbyte drive firmware" in production servers?

  • Does Xserve with OS 10.6.4 support multipath on non-apple storage now?

    Hi,
    We are installing 3 Xserves and a non-apple storage (Compellent, dual controller) at customer site, Xserve is running MAC OS 10.6.4 and have installed Xsan. One fibre cable on Xserve is connected to the fibre switch.
    During test we found that if LUNs are mapped from multiple WWPNs in one WWNN, The volumes create by Xsan will have link communication and performance issue. We queried Compellent Support and got answered that Apple server doesn't support multipathing on non-apple storage so far, so we have to use only one active link per WWNN.
    Is that true and is there any solution for the issue?

    In the Compellent Tech Tip I found following description:
    MacOS may incorrectly issue commands to all Storage Center Ports with the same World Wide Node Name (wwnn), even though the volume is only mapped out of a single Storage Center Port. Commands down invalid paths will be rejected by Storage Center. MacOS may not properly acknowledge that the commands were rejected. There will be data integrity issues if the MacOS does not properly acknowledge that commands failed.
    All front end primary connections from a controller will have the same wwnn, but unique World Wide Port Names (wwpn or wwn). Each controller in a clustered controller system will have a unique wwnn. Front end reserve ports will have a different wwnn than the primaries.
    This behavior has been seen with Storage Center 4.0.2 and 4.1.3 along with MacOS 10.5.3 and 10.5.4. This issue is assumed to exist with all versions of Storage Center and MacOS 1.5.2-1.5.4. It could possibly affect earlier versions of MacOS.
    WORKAROUND
    The workaround for this issue is to ensure that a Mac Server can only view one front end primary port for each controller. This can be done through zoning. For MacOS, it is recommended that zones are setup so that a Mac Server can only see a single front end primary connection from each controller. Only a single Mac port should be used. At this time, Apple does not support multipathing with non-Apple Storage. A volume should only be mapped out of a single port on Storage Center to a single port on the Mac Server.
    What my issue is I connected two active front end ports on each controller to Xserve, that made Xserve "see" two WWPNs in the same WWNN, So regarding the content above, I should connect only one active front end port to the Xserve on each controller. Do you agree?

    There is no particular technique for this. You can use single or collective method (LT01 or LT10).
    Provide the source SU and destination storage type and bin and save the TO. Your transfer will be complete.
    The SU number will be lost because you have moved the stock to a non SU storage type.

    We have implemented WM and activated interface WM/PP.
    Finished good assigned to routing, routing has operation, operation assigned to supply area
    All components are assigned to operation
    Due to this system is deriving ONE storage location for all components [Storage location assigned to supply area]
    We have few components which needs to be backflushed out of a different storage location [Non WM]
    Though i entered this storage location in its material master, system allways deriving Storage location assigned to supply area
    Please help how we can ensure components backflush of storage location different than one assigned to supply area
