New Customer with Service Issue

I am very frustrated with Verizon & customer service. Our family is new to Verizon within the last month. We drop calls all the time and get choppy service by our house. I talked to local store and they advised for me to call Customer Service. The representative made me reset my new phone and everything, then they sent me to next level support. The next level support did a case and tried to sell me an extender which I refused to do. I am a new customer who spent alot of money to switch why should a spend another $250. The next level suppport stated they would call me back today after the case was resolved & did not. After a few dropped calls today, I called back, the first next level support person wanted to reset my phone again and told me the engineer said there not really an issue. He had me on hold several times and on the phone for over 25 minutes. The call then dropped and rep never called me back. Got on the click to chat and Hannah called me to try to resolve. She sent me to next level support who could only offer to sell me the network extender. I feel that I should have never switched from AT&T to Verizon because they just want me to spend more money and not resolve my issue. I am stuck in a contract and if there is an emergency that happens in my area then my children will never be able to get ahold of me. My childrens safety is the most important thing to me but not to Verizon. Very disappointed!!!

Why did you switch?
Why didn't you figure this out during the return period?
You don't have access to any landlines for children to contact you in an emergency?

  • New Customer with DVR Capacity questions

I just ordered FIOS and was promised by the sales person that came to my door that a dvr that would hold 300 standard recording hours and 88 HD recording hours.  I called verizon to verify this and I can not get a straight answer.  I see on the verizon website the 2 different type dvrs from Motorola.  The 160 GB drive and the 500 GB drive.  I read many  threads and even the 500 GB disk will not meet the numbers quoted to me by the sales person.  The only way I know to get the recording hours promised is to add an external SATA drive to the DVR.
I have called Verizon 2 times and can not get any answers to this question.  They can not tell me the type dvr that will arrive on install day.  They can only say that I will get a multi room dvr and a standard dvr.  I need 2 of these dvrs since my wife sometimes records 4 shows at the same time.  I also tried to contact the Verizon installer to get answers and no response.
Can anyone clarify any of this for me before I cancel my order ?
    Thanks

Probably not.  At some point in the future when Verizon begins rolling out something called "Verizon Media Center" equipment, users will be able to get expanded capabilities.  Unfortunately that time isn't here yet so you have fewer options.
Usually current initial installs cannot specify the exact model device, but only that the devices delivered will meet the order specifications.  In other words, you will receive a DVR, but it may not be the latest or largest model.  It depends on a number of factors such as what's available at the dispatch location, what's available on the truck, etc.  Sounds pretty haphazard I guess, but it's really not all that bad.  Besides, you just may end up getting the latest, largest whatever.  It's a roll of the dice, but my personal view after about a year of FiOS is that the technology and performance are worth whatever "teething" issues one encounters.  Others of course may disagree.
Things change once you actually have the equipment in your home.  Then you have the ability to switch, trade up, etc., depending on your needs.  Note that there often is some sort of fee associated with changing certain gear, especially if it's not defective.
It would be nice if each new order provided brand new gear with the latest and largest specifications, but that simply is not practical and is not standard industry practice.  Sorry if you are not happy with this news, but it's the best I can offer based on the prevailing situation..

  • NEW CUSTOMER WITH INTERMITTENT SERVICE - IN NEED OF ADVICE

Let me preface this post by stating that I am a new Verizon Customer, as of a few weeks ago.  I've really enjoyed my Verizon FiOS services, which consist of the Verizon Triple Play with the upgraded 35/35 internet package.  I have wanted the service for quite a while, but it was not available to me until I moved to VA.
With that said, I am asking for some help in diagnosing the following issues that have plagued me for the last two days going on a third.
11/23 (Wednesday):  Data stops working.  No "Internet" or "WAN Coax" lights on router.  Chat with Verizon Support online who walks me through a reboot followed by a reset/restore of router, neither of which, work.  He then schedules a technician for the following day.
    11/24 (Thursday):
10:30 am - Technician arrives and gets cracking on the problem.  After a short time, he determines the modem needs to be replaced.  He swaps it out for another and data is restored.
1:30 pm - Data fails again.  This time my "Internet" light is orange and the "WAN Coax" light is green as normal.  I contact Verizon Support, via telephone, and he walks me through the entire reboot followed by reset/restore of router again.  This does not work.  He ends up remotely restarting my ONT, which gets my service working again.
3:30 pm - While on the phone with family, my call was disconnected abruptly.  I go into my office to see the "Internet" light is orange again.  I call Verizon Support and am once again run through the entire reboot/reset process.  This does not work.  Instead of the remote reboot, she walks me through manually rebooting the ONT by unplugging the power and battery.  The service is restore and working correctly again.  Regardless, she still scheduled a technician for the next day.
    11/25 (Friday):
10:15 am - Technician arrives.  I describe the intermittent issue occurring since his visit the day before and he proceeds to replacing the ONT.  He even replaced the coax cable from splitter all the way to the modem.  He cleaned up the slack in all the original wires and really took his time trying to make sure everything was good.  I was really confident that this was a done deal.
8:00 pm - Really bad failure this time.  FiOS internet, telephone, and TV all fail.  I got on the phone with Verizon Support and after explaining the whole story, she was nice enough to not waste my time with a router reboot.  She read through my log of support calls and service visits and automatically scheduled a technician for tomorrow.  We'll see what happens next.
Since getting off the phone with support, I manually rebooted the ONT and all services are restored.  Hopefully this will tie me over until morning.
I've read a number of threads on this forum and have noticed that there are some pretty sharp guys and gals here who seem to be able to successfully trouble shoot these types of problems without ever being there.  I am hoping this post falls into that category.  I really want this fixed and do not feel like losing FiOS in the pursuit of consistent service.  Any help that any of you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Dewarwd,
Sorry to hear you have had repeat trouble. You mentioned a field tech was coming back out that should of happened Sat.  If you are still having an issue since that visit let us know.  I have sent you a private message to assist further.

  • New Customer with still no service

    Hi all,
On tues morning at 8am I had a working phone line and Internet connection through Talk Talk.
I was scheduled to change to BT sometime on Tues.
My new router was delivered and I had two messages and emails telling me that first my phone was now up and running, and then my Internet was too and to plug in my equipment.
Well reading all the forums I'm sure you can all guess that actually it wasn't. Nothing worked at all.
I spent the best part of 2 hours getting through the automated service to be told the fault was very close to my house and an engineer would be out to fix it before 6pm today. And they would ring me if they needed access to the property. Well guess what again? Not a sight or sound of any engineer anywhere near. But of course on contacting BT I was told 'they were working on it right now'..... No they aren't.
Apart from all the usual extra expenses I've incurred, how the hell do I actually get something done?

    Hi Chidules,
Once contacting the BT care Team (Mods) they will reply either by phone or email usually within 3 to 6 working days, however you will be given a tracking number immediately after sending the request. Please keep this safe.
Please be aware that this timeframe does not include weekends and Bank Holidays. The timeframe will also vary during busy periods.
Each case is done in a strict rotation so once your mod request has reached the top of the BTCare Team's inbox then they will contact you.
The BT Care Team are a BT UK Based specialist team who have a good reputation for solving customer problems.
    Cheers

  • NEW Information with 9700 issue

I have been following the issues with the 9700 pro cards for some time now. I have read all the threads on this board and seen no fixes yet that work. I HATE to say it but everyone is barking up the wrong trees for this problem. As you read this and check your own system I'm sure that you will come to the same irritating answer that I have. I purchased my first ATI Built 9700 pro at first release in the stores. After installing I experienced distorted graphics and lock-ups. I then started hunting for a fix. Tried all the bios flashes, drivers and VIA 4in1's. all came up with the same result so I called ATI they said that it might be the card so I went back to the store and got another ATI built 9700 pro card and yet had the same issues. Then I go and get Gigabytes MAYA 9700 pro card. Now there is no more distorted graphics (NOTE to ATI you may have something that you can learn from Gigabyte) but I still get lock ups. So then I hunt down drivers and bios flashes from Omega which has been modifying drivers as long as I can remember. They did not work either. I also tried different motherboards and no change. So I conclude that VIA, MSI and ATI are not at fault for this problem. Although with this info may be able to come up with a solution.
Now I start digging hard into my system and OS yet to find the real blame. I found that my agp and sound are sharing the same IRQ. Now wether you know it or not you cannot change IRQ settings with XP. So I disable my sound and retest and get outrageous results. My frame rates increased and benchmarks raised by almost half. Numbers that were not even achieved in ATI's tests. So then I install a different sound card and it put it on IRQ11 and moved AGP IRQ form 16 to IRQ11. BACK TO SAME PROBLEM. I have alot of free IRQs and also have disabled coms which open IRQ 3 and 4 also but do you think XP would change settings so they didn't share. NOOOOTTTTTTT!!!!! I did try the same system but with windows ME so I could set the IRQs myself and with having nothing sharing the same IRQ it worked GREAT!! The only option I see at this time is to re-install windows and disable the acpi which is the culpret behind all this and run standard PC HAL which means no more power control for ATX motherboards "THANKS BILL". No matter how you try XP wants to share AGP slot with a PCI slot. Now with my ATI 8500 it shares with sound but no problems but you have to remember that the 9700 is a new creature that performs like never before and I'm sure with the demand that it puts on the system anything else on the same IRQ will get lost or corrupt packets resulting in a system lock up. At the bottom I will provide a link to a bulletin by MS that discibes the way and also why XP handles the IRQs the way it does.
I would like you to try the same as I have and remove anything sharing the same IRQ as the 9700 pro and see if you get the same results as I have. I have tested 3 cards and four MBs and refuse to try any more products just to come to the same answer. I think you will all come to the same conclusion that I have. "Kill Bill".
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q252420&ID=KB;EN-US;Q252420

I was having the same problem with the 9700 pro on the KT400. was getting lockups and freezing everytime i tried to run a 3d game or benchmark. (solitaire ran sweet though). Even went as far as to buy a new mobo the a7n8x with nforce 2 chipset...low and behold the card worked fine...pity the board lasted about 2 hours then i had to send it back cos it was shafted...no post no nothing...ay well...
so i went back to my MSI kt4 ultra i tried so many combinations i was going blind but i think i finally found a combination that works....well for me anyway
    im using
    Catalyst 2.5
    ControlPanel 6.13.10.6218
    Via 4.45 hyperion
Fast write disabled in smartgart but enabled in bios dont ask me why but it works like that...i know it doest overwrite it but it works. also try this one. type smartgart into the run dialog, you get a new window not accesible through normal display properties. for some reason installing the catalyst drivers sometimes disables agp write and agp read which you can see here. click retest all then reboot smartgart will popup as soon as you reboot to let you know what the settings are now.
now its running sweet as a nut
    getting 3DMark
    13930 running normal
    15928 overclocked FSB
not ruling out the fact that shared IRQ's maybe at fault but mine is still shared with my nic and not causing any problems.
like i said it worked for me.. just thought id let you know
    KT400 MS-6590
    XP 2400+

  • New customer with extremely slow boadband speeds

My BT Broadband was activated on Monday 12/08/13 and ever since my broadband has often been unusable due to such poor speeds. I know in the literature BT provide, it states that it may take 3 days for the speed to stabilize, but I am now around the end of that 3 day period and there is no improvement. I have done 20-30 speed tests over the last 3 days and the highest download speed I have seen in 0.9mb/s. Only on one occasion was it this high, usually, it ranges between 0.16mb/s and 0.3mb/s. Strangely, my upload speed tends to be higher at around 0/9mb/s.
I switched from Sky Broadband where I was getting at least 2.5mb/s even on a bad day, but usually my speed was over 4mb/s. When installing the BT broadband, all I have done is replace the 4 year old Sky router with the new BT Home Hub 4. Everything else is the same, so I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to achieve the same speeds as before.
I work from home and need a constant and stable internet connection. I haven't been able to work since BT broadband was installed. I need to fix this ASAP please, any advice would be greatly appreciated...

  • New install with codec issues

    Hello,
I recently purchased the entire Creative Cloud suite of applications including Adobe Premiere.  Everything works correctly however many of the professional level codecs are missing from the aps, ie. XDcam, RED, etc..  It's not possible to generate the sequences, import files, or open CS6 projects that utilize XDcam.  This is a huge problem because our workflow relies on XD footage.  It's as if the programs are stuck in a trail mode and will not unlock even if my named license is associated with the products.  I've done 4 complete uninstalls, run adobe registry cleaner, repackaged three different CC deployments from the admin console, and still cannot get it to work.  Is this familiar with anyone?  I've talked to Adobe Tech Support and was passed around from tech to tech for 2 hours with no solution.  Thanks for any help in advance.
    Bob

So for anyone else with a similar issue, I may have found the solution. First, despite being told the new VMS runs MoCA 2.0 (and the Verizon splitters all saying 2.0 on them), in the Actiontec Router settings, it states that the network is running 1.1, even without the ECB2500C plugged in. So take that for what it's worth.
Secondly, changing the "Ethernet / Coax Channel" from 1150Mhz to 1500 in the router settings has so far completely cleared up all of the previous symptoms. I'll post another update if I see any other weirdness running with these settings, but so far so good.

  • New user with mulitple issues

I just purchased PrE 9 and installed it a couple of days ago.  My biggest concern is how much lag there is in the playback under the timeline view.  I primarily use this for creating music videos.  I have one video track for the stills and their transitions, one (and sometimes two) video tracks for the titles and their transitions, and an audio track containing the music.  The audio track plays consistently, but the timeline generally has a problem keeping up and visually staying in sync with the music.  I've used other video editors before and I've never experienced this problem.
I have also been experiencing multiple crashes while editing.  So much so that I tend to have to save my work after each edit.  This appears to be related to another problem in which I get a notice when starting up that I'm using a generic display driver and it will affect performance.  At the start I was using a generic monitor driver but I replaced it with the driver specific to my monitor and yet I intermittently get these notices, and when I do the whole system seems to lag and overuse the CPU to the point I start getting warnings and eventually crash.
I've updated my graphics driver (Radeon x1950) and monitor driver so they are all current.  I use a pentium 4 3ghz dual cpu with 2 gb of ram. I've been in touch with support and they want me to re-install the program.  I'm hesitant to do that as apparently the installation process messes with the disk burning drivers to the point that I have to re-install my Primera Disc Publishing software for my Bravo SE printer/duplicator.
Anyone have any ideas or should I just abandon PrE at this point for another video editor?

A line may be red for two reasons:
    1. You picked the wrong Preset so PRE cannot process it properly. If this is the case the line would be red as soon as you have loaded it.
    2. You have applied some adjustment to a portion of your timeline (e.g. a Transition, Effect, or a scaling or changing opacity ....). These red lines mean that when you view your project in the monitor you are seeing a 'rough' version. If you 'render' those line by pressing [Enter] PRE will make a 'good' copy of that footage.
    AHA!!!
This seems to be getting to the answer somewhat!  I rendered as you mentioned and it cleared the lines and performed well, but at a pretty high cost in storage as would be expected.  I've tried projects with AVCHD 720p square pixel and DV-NTSC.  I'm somewhat flying blind without some clear references to understanding what project type would best suit me, so if you have any references, I'd appreciate it.
And give us some information about your clip and hardware:
    * Use the *http://www.headbands.com/gspot/* to analyse the file and post screen image.
    * What project preset did you use?
    * Where did the clip come from?
    * How did you get it into PRE?
    * Post back here with the necessary information described here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/459220?tstart=0
I've included a gspot screen capture of one of my .MOV projects.  As mentioned above I've tried a couple of differnt project presets but I'm kind of flying blind on that issue.
I'm not sure what you mean by "clips" in that there are no real video clips in my projects.  Each scene consists of a single still image on the video track which has a transition into it, a transition out, and on a secondary video track I have the titles with their own transitions.  I coordinate these elements with an audio track which is a .WAV file.  The clips (read stills) come from various sources on either the internet or digital photo.  I bring them in via the organizer and drop them onto the video timeline where they need to be and adjust where it begins and ends relative to the audio track and add the appropriate transitions or fade-out/fade-ins.
In terms of tuning appropriate levels of software, as mentioned before this has all been done previously in trying to troubleshoot the problems.  QuickTime and Windows updater are all up to current rev levels as are the display and graphics drivers.  I use tune-up utilities 2010 in scheduled mode (nightly) which keeps my disks defraged as well as a clean and tuned registry and eliminates any temp files.
When I run PRE I've been putting the computer into Tuneup's Turbo mode which puts most background processes to sleep and turns off some of the more hefty Windows appearence features, so there's not much likelihood you'll find much wrong with the overally performance and maintenance on this computer.

  • Problem with new Customer

    Hi,
I added a new Customer with DiApi.
    1. Get a existing customer with the GetByKey Method
    2. Create a new CardCode and change the customers CardCode to the new one
    3. Call Add()-Method to add as a new customer
    Success!
Next Step: I wrote some methods to search and show the BP-Dialog like a user will do this. The method fills the CardCode Inputfield with the new CardCode from Step 2, after this the Dialog will comitted by the Search Button. Now the dialog contains the customers data. The user is able to complete information like the customers name etc. now.
    The Problem:
After changing the CardName in B1 and comitting the dialog, B1 changes the CardCode to a new one. The CardCode from Step 2 is no longer available.
    E.G:
    Created CardCode is 1000
After changing the CardName an commit its 1001
In OCRD for example CardCode 1000 is no longer available.
    Whats up there?

I interviewed one of our B1 consultants... there is a buggy query behind the CardCode field...
    Now it works!

  • How to ignore the customer with delete stamp when customer identification

    Hi Expert,
In customer identification of the call center, SAP standard does not ignore the customer which has delete stamp. From our biz, we don't want to catch them when corresponding customer call. And we will create a new customer with the phone number. How can I ignore and create the new customer?
    BRs
    Liu Bo

    Hi,
open in transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB the component ICCMP_BP_SEARCH.
    Go to View BuPaSelectCustomer
    Go to the IMPL class.
Redefine method DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT to filter out the customers you don´t want which means delete them from the BOL collection.
    Kind regards
    Manfred

  • Custom Capi service definition fails to include in Capi

I am working on a migrated Oracle designer repository and have quite a lot of custom Capi service definitions which would normally appear in the Capi that they apply to, once I run "Create Capi Definition".
However they are steadfastly refusing to appear. If I go and create a new custom Capi service definition, the new one will appear, but not the old ones.
This could be a simple oversight that I am experiencing - can anyone suggest a resolution to this problem.
    I am using hss_capi Rev: 6.5.4.0.2
    Regards
    Phil Gray

Please note this has been resolved.
For some reason the table definition has been dropped off the CAPI Custom Service program data properties.
This is found by opening the PL/SQL definition for the custom capi service in the Repository Object Navigator.
As for the reason the definition has gone.....?

  • Where is my tablet/new customer woes

Ok, so I decided to leave T-Mobile to join Verizon for the better coverage and phone options. What a mistake that was. I placed an order online for a phone and tablet with overnight shipping on Friday the 13th. This process seemed easy enough and I entered my T-Mobile number to be ported. Monday rolls around and still no phone or tracking number. I try the chat support since I am a busy guy and do not have time during the day to call in. I find that I am forced to call in to deal with my internet order. I spend a little over an hour on the phone while I am at work to find out my phone did not ship because the tablet I ordered was out of stock. They were able to get me the phone delivered the next day on Tuesday but no updated info on where my tablet is. I also noticed I had a different phone number and figured it was temporary and maybe porting takes a day or two. Few days roll by and still not my correct phone number, get to call in and spend another few hours on the phone to get this straightened out. Apparently my number was released from T-Mobile on the 13th but Verizon somehow left my number in limbo. Here we are 12 days later, still no tablet and no email update on where it is. I tried the chat feature again, wouldn't you know they cant help me and the only people that can you have to call in for support. I do not have any more time or patience to spend several more hours on the phone to solve something so simple as getting new equipment. I am completely dumbfounded at the lack of communication within Verizon and how simple processes such as providing a new customer with equipment are poorly executed. I would greatly appreciate some help from Verizon on figuring this mess out. So glad I get charged two $35 activation fees on devices I have received late or not received at all.

Tehdargon, first of all we want to welcome you and thank you for choosing us as your wireless provider. It seems like we aren't to a great start with you. Let's turn this around. Did we advise you that the tablet was on back order? As a result this will delay the shipment of that device.
In regards to porting your mobile number in, have you had a chance to check the recent status of that number transfer request here: http://bit.ly/qDhvBY Once your bill is generated, we can adjust your account to ensure that you are billed correctly. No worries. We'll get this taken care of for you.

  • New Customer - Have had MISERABLE experience with Verizon service and Customer service

I am a brand new customer of Verizon Fios and so far I have zero good things to say about it.  If it wasn't for the aggrevation of switching cable companies, I most definitely would go back to Comcast.
I moved into a new home in the middle of April.  The previous owner had Verizon Fios in this house, so there was minimal installation that had to be done when I initially set up my cable.  My house was pretty much empty at the time, so we had the TV's set up where we had a place to put it (upstairs, kitchen, and living room).  We recently bought bedroom furniture, so we could now move the TV to where we initially wanted it, in our bedroom.  However when we tried to hook it up to an outlet, no picture came though.  This is when my awful experience with verizon customer service (or lack there of) began.
I took time out of my work day to call Verizon about this problem.  I was on hold for about 30 mins until I actually heard a human's voice.  He was unable to help me since I was not at home to unplug and plug things back in.
I called again when I was home, this time I was on hold for about 20 mins (wow)... the first person could not help me, so she transferred me to another department... put on hold for 35 mins.... this perosn couldnt help me either and they transferred me back to the SAME DEPARTMENT I WAS INITIALLY TRANSFERRED FROM.... put on hold for about 45 mins... finally i speak with someone that knows what they are talking about.  Of course I have to go through all the same steps that I did the first time which did not work.  As this person decides I need a technician, he begins to look up available dates... and then after an hour and 35 mins on the phone, it gets disconnected!  I wait for 5 minutes to get a call back but I get NOTHING.  I spent now 2 hours trying to deal with this and verizon doesnt even call me back when its their phone that gets disconnected? Thats terrible.
I call back after 10 mins and am put on hold right away (obviously).... after 25 mins of being on hold, shocker - the call is disconnected again.
That was enough for one day
I call back again the next day... same old thing... put on hold for 30 mins, talk to one person who cant help me, transferred to another department and put on hold for 20 more mins.
Finally with the tech department who says they are going to schedule a tech to come out to fix the problem but also mentioned they are going to charge me $55 for this! Are you kidding me?????? Verizon wastes about 4 hours of my life and busy day and then has the nerve to say they are going to charge me for it? I asked the person several times if I could speak with a manager or supervisor, they never let me.  I asked multiple times and she just said that they wouldnt be able to help me and that the charge would stick.
I can't imagine that anyone would treat a brand new customer like this.  I will not recommend Verizon to any one until I see some kind of help or REAL customer service from them.

I did call them this morning, and still on the phone.
I will say this - the reps are very friendly and do try to help in earnest.  That's been my experience overall with Verizon.  So in terms of the actual people, I give them an A+.
In terms of their system and how they process things, they get a big fat F.   The very idea that I sent back a phone with accessories and their warehouse only registered the return of the phone pretty much says that there is something fishy going on there at the warehouse.   And it took an hour to sort this out so far and counting.
The thing that bugs me about Verizon is how complicated it is to get everything straightened out.
Right now, they are trying to sort out the activation fee - I already have been charged one and now they are trying to figure out if i have to pay another one.   Another 15 minutes just on that.
Everything has been resolved.   Thankfully, Verizon's saving grace is that their reps are nice people.
